THE SECRET OF SPIRITUAL POWER

"If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his
cross daily, and follow Me" (Luke 9:23).

Do we need the power of God today? Do we seek the Life of the Lord today? Do we desire Him to have the preeminence in our lives today?
Do we long for Him today? Then now is the time for us to be unconditionally and wholeheartedly surrendered to Him. We need not drag the process out for several days and weeks, months and years. Do it today, do it now.

If we must daily take up the cross anyway, let us bow our head and give up the ghost instead of struggling to stay alive, which only prolongs our agony. The secret to overcoming is dying daily.

that is good food there David. We do have to die daily. Let's face it there are some days that we become so stressed and overwhelmed that we forget to start the day with God. At the end of the day in a state of exhaustion and despair we call out to God. If we had called out to God in the begining of the day, we would have felt His presence and we would have been in less trouble at the end of the day.
Instead of trying God first, we often try everything and come to God as a last result. I think it is breed into as a society to stand on your own two feet and not seek help until you are at the end of your rope. But maybe we would not find ourself at the end of our rope so often, if we started out the day asking God for help.
