Colossians 3:2-3 Amplified Version

“And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth (3) For [as far as this world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God.”

So often it’s easy to just put limits on our goals in this world, but as the Word of God says, we need to set our minds on what is above, not things on the earth. When we become born again, our new, real lives are hidden with Christ in God. Let’s get into the Word so that we can learn about our new lives in Christ Jesus. Things of this earth get us down mostly because we can see in plain sight the affect it has on us. The Word tells us to set our minds on things above; that’s not always easy to do since we can’t see those by sight, but only by faith. Let’s set our eyes to ‘faith’ vision and set our sights on Christ Jesus, above all.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus,

Help us to set our sights on things above Father. Sometimes this world places such burdens on us when we could’ve saved ourselves the troubles by just setting our sights on you Jesus. When we begin to take our sight off of you Lord, turn us back your way, on things above.
