Romans 1:2 King James Version (KJV)
2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)

Romans 1:2
Thomson 2 which he promised heretofore by his prophets in the Holy Scriptures

These are my thoughts.
The promises of God were given from long ago people may have forgotten them but God keeps His promises no matter who remembers them.

Romans 1:3
KJV 3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
Thomson 3 concerning his son, [him who was of a seed of David with respect to flesh

These are my thoughts.
Jesus was descended from David which meant He was the rightful king.

Romans 1:4
KJV 4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
Thomson 4 him who was determinately marked out as son of God by a power, according to a spirit of holiness, of rising up from the dead,]

These are my thoughts.
Jesus proved that He is God’s Son by rising from the grave this showed the world His true holiness.
