Revelation 3:14 NIV, Jesus calls himself the ruler of God's creation. Think about that. Jesus is the Ruler of Nature. Anything in nature, Jesus has control of. A crusade for praying down hurricanes has been going on since 2006. Since 2010, it has been taking place on Twitter @GrooverMac. Matthew 8:23-27 tells us that it is founded in Faith to believe that such should be done. Just acknowledge to Jesus in your prayers for healing that you accept that He is the Ruler of Nature and proof will be granted.

Sorry Cbou, the NIV is NOT a word for word translation, it is a dynamic equivalency so you are taking a word not from the original and building a whole doctrine upon it.

Jesus is the Creator

John 1:
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

What you are teaching is a formula which will fall short just like so much of the Word of Faith teachings, that teach through positive confession to create our own reality.

Daily we as Believers should place our faith and trust in Christ and leave it entirely up to Him to bring us through storms and if it be His will to take us Home.

There is such a propensity within the Charismatic realm to take one word or passage of scripture and launch a whole new revelation which is contrary to the whole counsel of God. The context of each passage must be in unity with the whole of God's Word.
