One Haitian said:

"Of all the wars and revolutions and hurricanes, this quake is the worst thing God has ever sent us".

Then Pat Robertson said, "They were under the heel of the French. You know, Napoleon III, or whatever. And they got together and swore a pact to the devil. They said, we will serve you if you'll get us free from the French. True story. And so, the devil said, okay it's a deal."

What do you think about this?

love, Eden

Even if that is true...I am humbled myself as I witness God's mercy and love being draped over Haiti after the devastation that they endured.
Our God is amazing with grace and relents from sending calamity..

Joel 2:12“Even now,” declares the Lord,

“return to me with all your heart,

with fasting and weeping and mourning.”

13 Rend your heart

and not your garments.

Return to the Lord your God,

for he is gracious and compassionate,

slow to anger and abounding in love,

and he relents from sending calamity.

For an additional commentary regarding this situation in Haiti I invite you to check out this blog from Ron Hutchcraft: http://www.hutchcraft.com/blogs/rons-blogs/haiti-s-defiant-faith. Revivals come out of such disasters. We all need to pray for the suffering people of Haiti, but we can also pray that our loving God will be glorified in the midst of such suffering and that lives will be transformed by his loving care and grace.

I also agree with what Albert Mohler posted Jan 14 regarding the earthquake in Haiti...
