The word "contra" means against. The word "ception" means fruitfulness. So, contraception means, to be "against fruitfulness". The very 1st command that God gave to the human race is the object of attack from "contraception birth control". For God's purpose in creating man was, and still is - to fill the earth with His Son. "Until the whole earth is filled with the glory of God"- and, "Christ in us is the hope of glory". Until there is no more Jew or Greek or Irishman; no more Protestant or Catholic; no more male or female etc.; but "Christ all and in all". What a privilege God has bestowed upon Christian marriage? Please hear Our Lord say these words again right now; "be ye fruitful and multiply". My sheep listen to my voice and they will not listen to anyone else. Got it?

Could you please prove to me that "ception" means "fruitfulness"? Thanks.

Yes, I agree; but for some it is easy to get married, and for others they don't know how to get married. They have thought about it and prayed the Lord for it but it has not happened yet. I hope you are okay with them the way they are right now...

Although I would say that the Topic title "contraception" and "the privilege of Christian marriage" are somewhat "different subjects"?

So you tend to align yourself with the Catholic Pope in that regard, with contraception?

Are there any "economic" considerations involved with "not having any more children" and using contraception because "we cannot afford any more children", or how do you view that?

thank you, becauseHELives, you are generally a very civil Christian, and I appreciate that.

You know, i read a book once, written by Ellen White. She said "people should not have to many children for they are only producing offspring for the Devil"

I found that very disturbing. Yahwehs first command for mankind was to be fruitful and multiply as becauseHeLives stated.

I too used to believe in birth control but i have since changed my mind on the matter.

Without passing any judgment on it one way or another, there probably ARE a lot of Protestants who DO use contraception after a certain age, don't you think, probably more than half?

I align myself with the scriptures not the Roman Catholic Wh!ore....the scriptures tell us to be fruitful and multiply

we cannot afford any more children (same mentality a we are as grasshoppers in there sight).....this statement made by many sincere Christians, is a result of listening to Satan's lies instead of Yahweh....

many Christians can see how wrong abortion is.... but are blind to the fact if they practice birth control they are guilty of the same sin....

if we are going to help others with their speck, we must first remove the plank from our own eye....

and on a final note to one of you questions....not everyone should get married!
