During the time that Bonhoeffer was in prison he wrote a book titled Letters and Papers from Prison.

The manuscript was smuggled from jail and published. These letters contain Bonhoeffer's consideration of the secularization of the world and the departure from religion in the twentieth century.

In Bonhoeffer's estimation, the dependence on organized religion had undermined genuine faith. Bonhoeffer would call for a new religionless Christianity free from individualism and metaphysical supernaturalism.

God, argued Bonhoeffer, must be known in this world as he operates and interacts with man in daily life. The abstract God of philosophical and theological speculation is useless to the average man on the street, and they are the majority who needs to hear the gospel.

Bonhoeffer never totally abandon liberal theology, but he did feel it was too constraining and responsible for the lack of relevance in the church.

So would you help plot the killing of a furrier?

I would hope not but it appears he did....

I do not know to what extent he was involved,Bonhoeffer was already in jail when the bombing took place, but the coup had been in planning for years. Bonhoeffer's role in the plot was eventually discovered, leading to Bonhoeffer's execution by hanging at Flossenburg in April 1945. ...

It seems he was a confused pacifist....

there is not one mention in New Testament Scripture of fighting back against the evil being done to believers except warfare in the Spirit.....

Paul said our weapons are not carnal....

Our Weapons for Spiritual Warfare are Not Carnal; Nor are our Battles Against Flesh and Blood

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
