[Cross]

Mat 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Except ye be converted....

AND

...become as little children,

ye shall 'not' enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

We are not talking about whether one is saved here, but whether he or she is experiencing the 'fullness' of God, in relationship. The conditions are spelled out: Except ye are 'converted'! That part we easily understand. And 'become' as little children. That part is easily overlooked.

But some misread this to mean, Except ye become 'childish'. There is a difference, but most can easily discover how to do that. But what scripture means by becoming 'childlike' stumps even the best.

Interesting.

I always thought that scripture meant that The Lord was talking about our new creation, life changed by the work of the Holy Spirit, characteristics.

Ever notice children are extremely forgiving? Their little hearts forgive and forget in an instant. They also are very hungry to learn, to please their parents and they are filled with impartial love. Most (normal) children don't go about intentionally looking to sin. They are not boastful, rude or self-seeking.

MICHAEL...Subject: ..and become as little

I think you made your point, being that you are the grown up with the fullness and we are childish and not responsible.

Well, you are full of it allright but if you want to know what child like means see the above message by FOUND IN HIM.

Good Grief !

Hi, Michael Harrison, how are you today? You wrote
quote:
But what scripture means by becoming 'childlike' stumps even the best.
But undoubtedly it does not stump YOU since you are among "the best"? So, would you be so kind as to share with us "what scripture meant by becoming 'childlike'"?

Thanks, Eden
