How Much Of The Bible Is Prophecy

A young pastor commented to a former seminary professor that he didn't preach on prophecy because "prophecy distances people form the present." His professor replied, "Then there certainly is a lot opf distraction in the Scriptures!"
Few people have any idea just how much of the Bible is prophetic in nature. The following statistics shed some light on the matter.

Total Number of NT Predictions that Contain Predictions

Percent of the NT that is Prophecy
21.5%

Total Number of Separate Prophetic Topics in the Bible

Total Percent of the Bible That Is Prophecy
27%

So if 27% of the bible is prophecy, it would seem unwise to disregard it.
