Kinda resembles I'm ok, you're ok, no? Except, what I hear is I'm ok, you're not! That is until you are ok with their not being ok, which they view as ok! Ok? Is that a riot???

You see, it is hard to lie to yourself. But many manage. Where is a sincere heart who wants to know the Lord? I mean, He is willing. But one can say "I'm ok," which means that you cannot say "Know the Lord," because to be ok means that you (they) do not have to, so don't bother them, say they, just listen if you may! Is that you? Or do you say "To argue is my due."

2Pe 2:13 "And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;"

And is this not a feast? We get to be thankful for a season; for, for the moment, the internet is such a wonderful thing, if we use it right. But if we follow Ted N, and to preach begin:

2Pe 2:19 While they [of the doctrine of ok] promise them [whoever will listen] libertay, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom [like Ted N, or certain preacher men] a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

Bondage! "Not so say they. Why I'm just ok. Don't say it isn't so, for I have scripture I can show."

Thanks for replying yahsway, and I'm not sighing. I'm rollin on the floor, I think I'm dying! Sure is good to hear a sober saint, but does it matter who Ted N is, or ain't, if he is someone idolized at the expense of yielding to Jesus?


I'm going to tell you, I had to repent of the Beatles. I was so mesmerized by the intricacies of their music, and the lyrics and images that were conjured up that I associated with them. I was captive to their sound, and built emotions related to romantic ideals that I attached to the music. They were part of my life to the extent that their music evoked my emotions, and held my attention and brought an idealistic excitement to life. In otherwords, I idolized them, therefore I has to repent, for the emotions that I associated with their music, was not good for a heavenly soul. Jesus takes me in another direction.

And I didn't like the Stones very much and I think that the Beatles are way ahead of the pack. They had an extremely huge number of songs to hit the charts, and more number one's than almost anyone. Close! And they were not a cardboard cutout band. Their sound varied, and experimented. One thing I remember about them compared to some other groups. Some groups sounded good in stereo. But back when we still had a lot of monaral transister radios. I noticed that when their songs came on, they sounded good even in mono, those Beatles. It was the beat. It was the rythym.

I loved Herman's Hermits. "There is a kind of hush," kinda explains my view (back then) of life and romance, and girls. It's the kind of stuff that gets into the heart, and builds emotions. And there was nothing raunchy in the music. No graphic depictions evolved from such a playful song. Still, worldly it was. But looking back in a disassociated way, I still like the stuff.

okay, gotchya! Ted Nuggent i presume.

You know, its funny, I havent listened to any secular music since 1997. People at work are always making fun of me cause I dont know the "Latest Songs"

No matter. Not that I have anything against secular music, well, maybe some of it, but i can understand where your coming from.

Ah, the Beatles. well i cant say that i listened a lot to them, (Your telling your age here MH, hehe)

But yea, i listened to my share of Rock and Roll until i feel on the Solid Rock and became broken.

And to tell you the truth, some of the christian rock bands out there kinda scare me. I have watched some of their videos on TBN, Sky Angel and cant tell the difference between them and something on VH1 or MTV.

I must be getting old! Ha!
