"And [Jesus] said to them all, 'If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me'" (Luke 9:23).

Resurrection Life is that which has died, but now lives. It has the mark of the Cross upon it. It has passed through death once, and death can no more touch it. If we have not already passed through death then we are constantly fearful of dying, but the one who has already died and lives again has nothing more to fear from death. As we are decreased through the daily carrying of our cross, Christ in us is increased, and the strength of His Life is matured through our weakness.

Good meditation Barry,

When Yeshua said those words "take up your cross and follow me" the people that heard those words understood clearly what was meant...

they had seen many before Yeshua take up their cross and none ever returned...

if any man putting his hand to the plow or say it like this if any man after taking up his cross turn back.... Yeshua said he is not fit for the Kingdom of heaven.

Hebrews 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

Now the just shall live by conviction of the truth of anything commanded by Yeshua in scripture, "Yeshua commanded take up your cross and follow me" this is belief; in the NT of a conviction or belief respecting man's relationship to Yahweh and divine things, generally with the included idea of trust and holy fervour born of faith and joined with it but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

Faith is action....
Faith without action is dead...

James said Faith without works is dead!

but the churched people of this adulterous generation as the scriptures declare will not endure sound doctrine.

2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

the people of this wicked generation want an easy Gospel, that cost them nothing.

I have lived now 55 years on this earth, 35 of those years I have spent getting to know my Savior.

This one thing I have learned for sure, anything that cost me nothing, is worth nothing.

My relationship with my wife of 36 year has not been without cost and I am not referring to money, I am referring to the cost of love and sacrifice....

My relationship with my children, grandchildren and my parents and my sister has not been without cost and again I am not referring to money but to the cost of love and sacrifice.

All relationship cost, and if they are Holy relationships, the cost are always the same, they cost you , you….

Salvation through Yeshua is not a religion but a relationship…

Eternal Life cost Yahweh the Blood, the life’s Blood of His only Son and if any will share in that relationship life, the Life of the only Begotten Son of Yahweh it will cost them all they are.

I have pity on those that can not understand the message of the cross, the message that Yeshua died to give.

Not of any works of righteousness that I have done…..

Do not misunderstand me; no one can earn Yahweh free gift of Salvation, His Son Yeshua, the only eternal life there is, but nether can you receive Yeshua without the giving completely of yourself to Him!!!!!!

That is the gospel in a short form...

It is the very essence of Loving Yahweh with all your heart mind soul and strength, and your nieghbor as yourself.

The gospel is soooo simple yet most will never grasp, it is not IIIIIIIII but Christ the Messiah in me!
