For those of you who remember me it has been a couple of years since I have been active here. My wife Wendy passed away Dec 21st 2004 leaving myself Nathan and Eric to face life's journey alone. Many here followed our journey through that valley on a thread called " I thought you should know".

That summer I met Melissa and we have been talking and following God's leading ever since. It has become very clear to each of us that only God could have put two people together who are so much on the same page and have the same values in life. Here is the initial post on a recent thread that I started on the christian site where I met her...

Well... it's official. God has been working behind the sceenes to restore the years that the locust's have devoured. I never dreamed that I would meet someone as special as Melissa [starrynights] We have spent much time talking, planning and falling in love. She has truly become the one that I cannot live without... last week on bended knee she said yes as I asked her to be my wife.

Melissa you are " so much more" than I ever dreamed that I would find and more than I ever thought possible. You are so special. The more time we spend together the more treasure that I see in your heart and the more I realize that only God could have put us together. You have raised the bar so much higher than I ever would have thought possible... I admire... and adore you. God has made me a better person for putting you in my life.... the thought that you are in love with me fills my heart with happiness and joy... and gratefulness that God has brought us together. You are truly the one I love. I long for the day we begin our lives together... you are my dream partner... and SO MUCH MORE .... So much more... I cannot begin to find words to express that enough. God is so good. I never thought that love could be this good...

Amen, brother Forever His, a great story of how the devil can mean something for bad, but the LORD will turn it to good...no, to better, like Job, for those who love Him.

God is indeed good and has blessed me with the greatest treasure one could have on this earth. I never dreamed that someone as special as Melissa would ever look twice in my direction. She is the most Godly and virtous woman that I have ever had the priveledge of meeting. I am still almost in disbelief that this is all true... I still have to pinch myself from time to time [Wink]

I am so grateful for what God has done in bringing Melissa into my life. My boys and I are truly blessed. May His blessings burst forth and touch you and yours...

I no longer frequent this board due to the overwhelming time commitments of being a mama to a toddler, but I do think of you and your boys on occasion and pray for you guys. I am so blessed to hear of how God hass been working in your life. I hope your boys are as happy about this upcoming marriage as you andd Melissa are.

LES!!!!!!!!!!!! It has been so long. That is wonderful news!! Congratulations to you and Melissa. May GOD continue to bless you both all of your days. I could not be more happy for the two of you, and for the boys! How glorious is our GOD! WE give him our ashes and HE give us beauty.

For as long as I have known you, you have been a continual reminder to me that GOD is LOVE.

When you lost Wendy, I could not imagine being in your shoes, and the witness that you were to all of us as your dealt with such a seemly untimely loss filled with love, and peace and trust and hope and faith was truly a witness of Christ. I too believe that GOD brought you and Melissa together and I pray that your lives together will also be a witness of Christ and HIS glorious love.

Well God is so good. I have been hoping to see some of you stopping in to say hi. LaurieFL and Helpforhomeschoolers it is really nice to hear from you again.
