The Prophetic Visualised Amelioration (Jeremiah 16:10-15)

Verse 10 presents the attitude that God is taking unreasonable liberties—“Wherefore hath the Lord pronounced all this great evil against us?” Impregnable self-righteousness will scandalise God ruthlessly. Self-pity is the morbid side of self-righteousness—“Why should this thing fall on me? God is taking liberties with me, I am in the right.”

“Therefore will I cast you forth out of this land into the land that ye have not known, . . . and there shall ye serve other gods day and night” (rv), i.e. “you may serve the gods you have longed so much after as long as you will.” God restrains and restrains, warns and warns, overlooks and overlooks; then He begins to bring out embarrassments against us. In the days before you knew God you did any number of things which God overlooked, but try and do them now, and if you persist you will realise what is written in Psalm 106:15—“And He gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul.” “He gave them their request”—all restraint gone. The man who has known what God is like, and what His life is like, but still persists in going against it, will come to a time when God will fling him out to do as he chooses.

Very good, David! I'm glad you put that on.

Hebrews 10:26-29 For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

"Can a Christian continue to sin?"

Well, a "Christian" is suppose to be someone who accepts Jesus Messiah as his Lord and King. And the King has issued a royal decree that all who would be His subjects must resist sin and must strive to live righteously. This does not mean they will not ever sin, but it does means that they recognize they are in a battle and they agree to fight in the struggle.

Now, those who think they can be a part of His kingdom without being in the battle are fooling themselves. As long as we are in these physical bodies, we are in the midst of the battle. But those who lean upon His Spirit will receive the victor's crown.

Can a Christian continuer in sin?

YES, If they choose to do so, according to their own frree will.

Do they have to? NO!

They can, again according to their own free will, choose NOT to sin!

Ok.

I'm not trying to start a fight here.

But ya'll just totally described me.

Good job fellows.

The problem though is that when i was Born Again, nothing changed.

When ya'll were Born Again, your DESIRES, that INNER man Changed, mine didn't. In fact, i was blinded to the fact and thought i wasn't saved for 6 months. Then i learned that i was but that still never changed my desire.

I guess i've been a foolish person. I cuss alot, i've always looked at pornography, had the most vile thoughts, but i've tried to.

Don't get me wrong, i HAVE tried and i don't like sin, i feel bad after doing it, and lately i have been getting more disgusted with the sexual immoral side of me.

Maybe Pray one last time for me in these times because this is the WORST time to be so Carnal like me.

Hey J,

You aren’t giving Yahweh enough credit…

You say no change took place,

The biggest change of all has taken place in you and you aren’t seeing it….

Once you had no desire to do right, no feeling of guilt for sin but now there is a war in you …

Good vs. Evil

New Creation vs. the old nature

Keep crying out to Yeshua, He is always there.

No, I've NEVER had that.

i mean, i'll feel a little bad, but then do it the next day, or not even that, maybe just hours from then.

oh man, i wanna trade places with one of you people.

Although every Christian strives not to continue to sin, of course we do, we are human. We are not perfect. The only perfect one is Christ!

Our body will be sown in dishonor:

1 Corinthians 15

42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown (buried} corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

43 It is sown {buried} in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power.

No one can attain perfection on earth like Jesus who was made of the Holy Spirit:

Luke 1:35
And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Spirit shall come upon you, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow you: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of you shall be called the Son of God.

Paul said he discovered a law of sin in his members.

But see the difference between you and me is that i don't strive. i don't have the motivation nor the desire.

i've never had it. i don't know why.
