I think we can all agree that the United States of America has been progressively becoming more and more lost in the darkness of sin. There are things from sexually explicit, extremely obscene, material appearing on television; to violence infiltrating not just our televisions but schools, homes, and work places as well. Our children are now growing up in a godless world. I even read a headline on the news this morning that read: “A year in America: 16,912 murders; 92,837 rapes.” How sad is that figure? Where are the Christians? For too long now we as Christians have laid silent while the radical islamists grow louder, the liberals tell us where we can pray and where we can’t, etc. When will we start to stand up and say NO to Christianity being labeled as “hate” literature? When will we stand up and say YES to God?

I have discovered the following verse in the bible and would like to share it with you all:

” II Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

I am asking that every night at 7:00 CST we, the people of this board, humble ourselves and pray… no… cry out to God for a healing of our land. I am asking that we humble ourselves and beg for his healing. I think if we all work together and pray that God may be willing to hear us and make a difference in this land. If we can spread the message to other message boards, send this message to Christian news programs. Get as many of the Christians doing this as possible God may have mercy on us again…

Luke 9:58 "And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man has no place to lay his head."

Given the verse above where do you think the "land of the Christian" is? Furthermore, do you think the Lord will at once "heal the land" and then subsequently "destroy" it again?

Luke 21:33 "Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away."

Rev 21:1 "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea."

I have found it best to never underestimate the Lord our God. If he should so choose to heal the land right away then I have faith that he can do that. That is why we humble ourselves and pray. If it is within the father will then it will be done. All I can go by is what he said. And he said he would heal the land if his people prayed. Well I am going to pray for it. If Anyone else can pray that would be awesome too.

So, "our land" is where?

The first post was about America. So I am asking for those in America to pray. If anyone else is from another country then they should pray to for their land to be healed. The Christian land is where ever Christians are.

Actually, what the scripture says is:

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." ... 2Chronicles 7:14

And therein lies the crux of the matter.

Indeed. That's where I was going next. [Smile]

Mentor, I will send you a PM soon.
