(18:15) Terrorists kill 10 in Samaria bus attack

Palestinian terrorists attacked a crowded Dan public bus outside Emmanuel southwest of Nablus one minute before 6:00 p.m., killing 10 people, according to the regional police commander.

Three terrorists attacked the bus and arriving rescue forces with a powerful bomb, anti-tank grenades, and light arms fire in a roadside ambush.

Three passenger cars also came under fire, according to regional police commander Shahar Ayalon.

Three gunmen continued to open fire on the No. 189 bus as rescue forces treat wounded at the scene, Army Radio reported.

IDF ground troops operating in the area killed at least one terrorist. Two more terrorists fled the scene on foot. IDF soldiers are now searching for the two men.

Reports indicate there are up to 30 casualties. A large number of Magen David Adom armored ambulances and medical teams arrived on the scene.

Five of the wounded were reported in very critical condition. Some casualties were evacuated to hospital and other wounded received treatment in the field.

Sheba Hospital at Tel Hashomer, Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva, and Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba are all prepared to admit casualties of the attack.

Two IDF helicopters made their way to scene to assist in the evacuation of wounded.

An eyewitness told Army Radio he heard a large explosion - possible a shell or bomb - alongside the bus and gunmen subsequently opened fire.

Security sources said a suicide bomber may have managed to board the bus, resulting in a large number of casualties, Israel Television Channel Two reported.

Bus No. 189, which departed Bnei Brak around 4:00 p.m., was not bullet-proofed.
