Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. John 14:30
We all know that after this statement was made Satan set out to destroy Jesus of Nazareth. Why? He'd given up on trying to tempt Jesus to betray His Father. How would you like to get your spiritual life to the place where Satan can't find one thing to tempt you with? In over 6,000 years Satan's tactics are still the same. He used the same 3 things to tempt Eve in the garden that he used against Jesus in the wilderness; however, where Eve failed in the best of circumstances, Jesus succeeded in the worst. How? Jesus knew what the word of God had to say about the temptations of Satan. Over & over again He simply told Satan, "It is written". Notice He didn't try to explain the scripture to Satan. He knew arguing theology with Satan is meaningless. LOL The same applies to a lot of Satan's followers in our churches today. LOL Nothing will frustrate a true believer quite as much as arguing theology with Satan's crowd. The first rule for success then? Tell them what the Bibles says about something, & don't let them **** you into trying to explain what you're saying. They have no desire to understand it anyway, just get you into an argument. Got sidetracked for a minute. LOL How to "Satanproof" your life. Remember that Satan's tactics have never changed. He used the same 3 tools against Jesus in the wilderness that he used against Eve in the garden:
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 1st John 2:16
3 major tools in Satan's arsenal: (1) lust of the flesh (physical desires; (2) lust of the eyes (covetousness); & (3) the pride of life (the desire for recognition & acceptance). When you can honestly say that you're immune to the control these things have over your life as Jesus was, then he'll probably try to kill you too. You'll be too big of a threat to him; especially if you're "walking in the truth". I know this is a rehash of things I've already said, but it's important that you understand what to expect from Satan & his teachers. If a teaching appeals to one of these 3 things in your life, then you can pretty much guess @ it's origin. If a teaching is making you more susceptible to one of these 3 attacks, then you can pretty much guess @ it's origin. If Satan can get you all wrapped up in this present life, he can defeat you folks. Let's face it, he's got most of us living like this is all of it, like there is no life after death. @ one time people described me as being "so heavenly minded I was no earthly good". I wish that was true today. When I get back to that point, I'll have "Satan proofed" my life once again. There was a time in my life when I wasn't ruled by what people thought, when the most important thing in my life was God's approval. There was a time in my life when I trusted God to determine what I really needed, & supply it. The physical desires part of it has always been a problem area though. LOL I once told someone we were born with that desire & just have to learn to control it. If you really want to be immune to all attacks from Satan, if you really want to be able to recognize the origin of a teaching, then pay attention to what I'm saying now. Get to know what the Bible says about these 3 things folks & stand on it.
