It was a one vehicle accident as he was driving home from work. He may have gone to sleep at the wheel. Jan stayed with Char last night and then we will see what we need to do to help.

The officers stayed with Char till Jan and Melissa arrived.

It is a season of parting. My mother-in-law passed away and we had her funeral two weeks ago today, and Jan's aunt passed away last weekend and we had the funeral Wednesday. My brother-in-law called yesterday morning and told me that they had found their uncle's brother dead in his yard this morning. Dean was a close friend of Dad's from their military days, and I was close to the brothers when I bowled with then 25 years ago and at family gatherings.

Dean had come in for Mom's visitation 2 weeks ago, and when he came in the front door of the funeral home I shook his hand, gave him a bear-hug. He went down and put his hand on Dad's shoulder and they had a quiet visit reflection. As he was leaving I walked him out to his car, as he had leg problems. He had such a sad expression when he said he might not make it in on the ice for the funeral. I told Dean that his presence, a hug for Dad, and his visit was the greatest tribute/memorial, greater than 10,000 words of praise. I also told him what a special blessing he was. His face lit up and that old mischievous grin came out and he looked me in the eye and said, "and you too".

It is a season of testing, and I just wish that I could reach-out and hug each precious one and take their pain away. All I can do is pray for them and to reinforce the reality of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the absolute certainty of the Believer's Home in Glory.

God bless you;

A lady just called my wife and said that she just got word that her husband Dave was just killed in a car crash. We have no details. Charlotte (Char) is handicapped and uses a walker. They have no children and no family local that I know of. Jan and my eldest daughter Melissa just left to go to Char.

No details.

Please join with me in prayer.
