Gracious Heavenly Father I come to you today lifting up this precious soul and each of her needs ,calling on your heart of tender mercies, Lord that you would intervene in this and undertake for her, Lord we know that it IS your will for us to be in good health and that we prosper, for your Word declares this to be so, but we also know you have a sovereign will and we dont know what is your sovereign will is for this precious soul, but we do know it is for her good and your glory, that your plans for us is to DO US GOOD, and in saying this Father I commit this precious soul to you asking Lord that you would have mercy on her Lord, Lord that you would lift her in spirit, heal her body of this horrible disease, that you would give her hope and faith and rest in you that her faith would abound ,Lord touch her today, comfort, strengthen and encourage her heart, Lord bless her abundantly spiritually, physically, emotionally, and financially, Lord wrap your arms of love around her today, let her bask in your loving presence, bless her dear Lord we do humbly and earnestly pray, in Christ's name amen and amen

Spent all day yesterday getting scanned from head to toe but I am feeling better spiritually. Chemo starts next wednesday or thursday. thanx for all the prayers.

Java, you have been on my heart since I read your thread. You exclaimed you were back, that you had moved away from your faith. Why? Sometimes when we move away from God he allows something to happen to bring us back to him. I can here and feel fear in your thread. God does not give us a spirit of fear, fear comes from our enemy satan.Here are a few passages and promises I hold tight to when ever I am afraid. Ps.121 I lift up my eyes to the hills- where does my help come from
My help comes from the Lord maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip-he who watches over you will not slumber.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,and lean not on your own understanding
in all you do acknowledge him,and he will make straight your paths
Eph. 3:20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more that all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.
I pray God would give you his blessed assurance in your time of need.

I too am sorry that you are going through this...
But, I remember in 1998 I lost my mother-in-law ( who was like my best friend) from 2 different kinds of cancer ,and my father from a blood clot after hip surgery. I was very angry at GOD and didn't understand. But, I survived and life continued as GOD saw fit. I searched for answer after answer but all along the answer was right in front of me. A few years went by and the Lord told me to go and pray with this young lady in the front of the church. I didn't really know her that well. I went finually and prayed with her. I found out that she too had just lost love one's in a simmulor situation. See, I believe that GOD had put that in my path to depend on him (GOD) and him alone. The LORD gave me strenght to help others because I can honestly say that " I know what you are going through" and mean it. So keep your head up, there might be someone the Lord will put in your path and you can shine the light in there World as what the Lord has healed in yours.
In the bible things happened when Jesus spoke..
It said to speak as though it has been done.
ex. Jesus said let there be light... and it was so
let the water be seperated from the sky... and it was so
let the nite be seperated by day... and it was done
so what are you saying? are you healed.. then regardless of the simtoms showing... you are healed and believe that you are healed and by your faith you will be healed.....
I'm just giving you encouragement and lots of prayer.. hold on help is on the way...

It's hard to know what to say in moments like these. I have a friend who has cancer, and she has been suffering greatly for the past yr. Just last night our pastor was called to her home.
The morfine has not worked in months. She has a husband who has had to watch as he stands helplessly by, and watches her transform from the woman he fell in love with to a woman he still loves helplessly. All I can do for her is ask God to show her mercy each day, and give her the courage and strength to go through each day. I pray God will be merciful to you also, and give you the strength and courage to face whatever is ahead. I ask for His peace to be given you, and that He reach down and let you feel and know your not alone. I pray he gives you a desire to feed off of his word daily for strength and encouragement.
All the things you have told us,tell God, and ask him to help you understand.
Praying for God's complete healing in your life.

I'm sorry for what your going through, and I don't have the answers your looking for, but I do care.
My dad died of small cell lung cancer too in 2003, it's a very hard thing to deal with, and even harder to understand.
I will be praying with you about your cancer, and I will be here if you need a friend.

I departed from the faith for a minuite but i'm back...So is the cancer. For those of you who remember me from last year and encouraged me, many thanks.
Dad was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer 4-11-06, he died 12-20-06, the day after my biopsy came back positive for b-cell lymphoma.
I am so very angry with God right now. It's like "welcome back! here ya go here's some more chemo for you...just in case last time wasn't enough".
Well what can you do? His will? What is his will anyway? How do we know if it really is God's will or just a genetic precursor. I meen He hasen't shown up on my door step lately with the daily news.
I almost died the last time and I am so tired of being sick, broke because I can't work, looking like something out of a stephen king novel. I have not been on a date in 3 years. I am tired of being lonely (please dont give me that God is with you cliche') I am tired of going explaining the reasons to people as to why I have no place I can call home, no bank accounts, nothing...
I am on my way to UNC chapel Hill tomorrow for treatment yet again. Once again I board the bus once again in a town with nothing. PLEASE GOD ![[1zhelp]](graemlins/1zhelp.gif) ME, GIVE ME A BREAK!!! I just want to be normal.
