I see alot of judging going on here, I grew up in a church of God church, I consider myself of pentecostal beliefs. My wife on the other hand is southern baptist, and we go to both denominations. Charles stanley, John hagee and Pat robertson are not false teachers. [Roll Eyes] I've watched these men for 12 years or so, they teach the word of God.

I see you made that statement yourself, but did not quote it or show the source. So, if you want to be believed you'll have to do better.

We do not believe that the four gospels have no real message for the church—Paul says that ALL Scripture is profitable. However, we do believe (because we hold to a literal historical interpretation of the Bible) that Christ's earthly ministry was in keeping with Israel's prophetic kingdom program (Matt. 10:5-6; 15:24). We find application in the gospels to be sure, but to say that the basic message of the gospels is directed to the Body of Christ is not being consistent or literal.

But He answered and said, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." (Matthew 15:24)

Charles Stanley
a wolf in sheep's clothing!

Stanley Quote:
The debate is over whether or not a man can be on his way to heaven one minute and on his way to hell the next. To answer that question, we must understand exactly what sends a person to hell. As we have seen, sin alone is not enough. . . . It takes more than simply sinning to get to hell. . . . It is not lying, cheating, stealing, raping, murdering, or being unfaithful that sends people to hell. It is rejecting Christ, refusing to put their trust in Him for the forgiveness of sin"

This is in DIRECT Contradiction to Bible Truth. Paul himself said many times, "Let NO ONE DECEIVE YOU! The wicked will not inherit the Kingdom of God." But that isn't enough for most people. They would rather put their trust in a 'Wolf' and be lead by the hand down the road to perdition than search the Scriptures for themselves and find the truth. The Truth is NOT difficult to understand....here are just a few passages that refute the statement above and expose this Wolf for what he is....

"If you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live" (Rom. 8:13).
"Do you not know that the wicked will NOT inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Cor. 6:9,10).
"The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will NOT inherit the kingdom of God" (Gal. 5:19-21).
"For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person -- such a man is an idolater -- has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore, do not be partners with them" (Eph. 5:5-7).
"But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those that practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars - their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death" (Rev. 21:8).

Stanley Quote:
"... there are Christians who show no evidence of their Christianity

Really! That's NOT what the Bible says. In fact it says the every opposite. IF a person failed to bring forth the proper fruit of his repentance and subsequent redemption, his faith is labeled 'counterfeit' and without effect! Paul frequently pleaded with the believers to beware least they 'receive the grace of God in vain!' 2Cor6:1. As many are doing today thanks to Wolves like this one teaching a deceptive message to multitudes of 'faithful' listeners. Again, read the simple truths contained in the Word of God and see for yourself that true Christianity is NOT a spectator sport!

"You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness" (Rom. 6:18).
"They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him" (Tit. 1:16a).
"What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him?" (Jam. 2:14).
"We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. The man who says, 'I know him,' but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him" (1 Jn. 2:3,4).
"Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the very beginning" (1 Jn. 3:7,8).
"This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; neither is anyone who does not love his brother" (1 Jn. 3:10).

Stanley Quote:
"When He died on the Cross, He took care of all of our sin. You say, 'You mean to tell me that if a person takes their own life, after all these things that you just talked about, all these sins, that that person is forgiven?' Yes! A believer who commits suicide is 'already forgiven'. Now I didn't say it was going to be good for him, but he is forgiven in advance. Pardoned of that sin. No matter what you do as a Child of God, you are forgiven. Murder, stealing, adultery, worshiping idols....all forgiven in advance!"

Makes you wonder how many people have actually 'pulled the trigger' on themselves, believing what these wolves have to say. What a travesty. A perfect example of the 'way of truth being blasphemed' 2Pet2:2, by covertness and deceptive words. This 'already forgiven' theme doesn't follow Bible Truth, but most of the wolves preach it, mainly because it keeps the people happy and coming back for more. Financially it's MUCH more beneficial to tell someone they can sin their way to heaven as long as it keeps them a 'contributing' member of the church. The fact that Jesus died for 'all sin' doesn't translate into 'License' to sin for His followers. Continuing in sin is the chief factor in hardened hearts, seared conscience, defiled testimony and falling short of the Grace of God. The Bible warns repeatedly about it in some of the following passages...

"For if we sin willfully after we have received a knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sin, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries." Heb 10:26-27

"Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God, on those who fell, severity, but toward you, goodness, IF you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off." Rom 11:22

"To be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace." Rom 8:6

"For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord Jesus, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning!" 2Pet2:20

"let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, least anyone fall after the same example of disobedience." Heb 4:11

"Whoever hates his brother is a murderer and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him." 1John3:15

NONE of these passages are difficult to understand. The meaning is not hidden in some 'theological' interruption. DON'T fall for the double-talk and deceptive speech of the wolves! The Bible is VERY Clear about the consequences of continuing in sin and the Spirit of God provides everything you need to live a godly and self-controlled life in Christ. 2Pet1:3-11.

Stanley Quote:
"Even if a believer for all practical purposes becomes an unbeliever, his salvation is not in jeopardy. Believers who lose or abandon their faith will retain their salvation. A Christian who at no point in his entire life bore any eternal fruit would remain secure in Christ!"

Pretty outrageous, isn't it? No wonder the churches are full up of people with no intention of Obeying God or KEEPING His Commandments. NOTHING in Scripture could be more clear than the Absolute necessity of CONTINUING in the Faith and ENDURING to the end! But these wolves would have you believe that a 'moment' of faith placed in the finished Work of Christ at any given juncture of your life is all you need to secure your eternal inheritance. Live like the devil, in abject unbelief, without worry, just put your trust in the 'preacher/teacher' and all will be well. Wake up before it's too late!

"eternal life to those who by Steadfast Endurance in doing good seek for glory, honor and immortality, but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath." Rom 2:7

"My mother and brothers are those who hear the Word of God and KEEP it!" Luke 8:21

"More blessed are those who hear the Word of God and KEEP it!" Luke11:28

"If you love Me, KEEP My Commandments!" John14:15

"You are My friends IF you DO whatever I command you." John15:14

"Do you see that faith was working together with his works and by WORKS faith was made perfect!" James2:22

"But do you want to know, O foolish man that faith WITHOUT Works is dead!" James2:20

"And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we KEEP His Commandments and DO those things that are pleasing in His sight." 1John3:22

"These things I have written to you who believe in the Name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life and that you may CONTINUE to believe in the Name of the Son of God." 1John5:13

"But he who endures to the end will be saved." Matt10:22

It may be convenient now to follow the likes of Charles Stanley and others like him, but at the Great Judgment you will have NO EXCUSE. A child could understand our Lord, "KEEP, holdfast, practice, obtain, be diligent, fight, endure be Steadfast!" He DID NOT make it Difficult! The problem lays within yourself. You have no love of the truth, but rather love unrighteousness, God then sends you a 'Strong Delusion' so that you will believe a lie and perish. This is why millions of professing Christians can not understand the Simplicity that is in Christ. That KEEP means to Holdfast and Continue means to endure. Anyone could easily find these truths and obey them, but their desire is to please self and follow the wolves. There's no shortage of false teachers who will tickle your ears with what you want to hear, but it won't be long before you must give an account of things done in the body to HIM who sits on the Great Throne.

Christians have committed suicide. Only God knows the heart and the mind. Christians can suffer from mental illness, brain tumors and other things that can cause them to lose hope. Anyone who tries to say that all suicide victims go to hell is playing God. Barry you cannot look in to the heart of a person but God can. My sister was one who suffered from bi-polar. She worked tireless for the Lord until the end when her illness overwhelmed her. Her suicide note declared her love for the Lord. I have NO DOUBT she is with Jesus today.
My sister fought many years against an illness with a husband who was abusive and made her illness worse. She finally became to weak to fight. She did not ask for her illness.

I also know of a Preacher who got a brain tumor in his later years and committed suicide. He did not ask for the tumor and only God knows why He allowed this, but I do not believe this man lost his salvation. A brain tumor is not a sin.

Stop your attack on good men. You can't even find a Church that preaches the mixed up Gospel that you go by. So don't attack those who are preaching the truth of the Gospel.

barrykind did not give the source for his article, but it came from a website that calls itself "A True Church". The following is in their statement of faith:

quote:
Although it is true that God loves both the wicked and the righteous (Matthew 5:43-45; John 3:16), it is also true that before the world was created, God chose to love only a few people and destine them to eternal life in the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 7:13-14; Romans 9:6-23; Ephesians 1:4). He chose to hate the rest of mankind and destine them to hell for eternity (Matthew 7:13-14; Romans 9:6-23). This choice was not based on any action on the part of those whom God chose (Romans 9:11, 16, 18), but rather it was based on God's own good pleasure and purpose (Ephesians 1:4-5). It was not based on works (Romans 9:11, 20-23; Ephesians 1:5; Philippians 2:13; Psalm 115:3). In other words, it was not based on anything the person may or may not do anytime in their life on the earth.

They also believe that "The City of Jerusalem is also God".

I doubt Dr. Stanley is going to lose any sleep over what you think of him.

Charles Stanley's Lewdness
Jude 4
(March, 2001)

Dr. Charles Stanley is pastor of the 14,000 member First Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, and has twice been elected president of the Southern Baptist Convention. Through his In Touch radio and television ministry, he is well known to thousands internationally and is author of many books, including Enter His Gates, The Reason for My Hope, The Glorious Journey, The Source of My Strength, Our Unmet Needs, On Holy Ground, and the In Touch Study Series. (Success God's Way, copyright 2000, back inside dust jacket; link added)

Dr. Charles Stanley is a false teacher (2 Peter 2:1) leading himself, and thousands more, down the broad way to destruction (Matthew 7:13-14). The following documents some of Stanley's lewdness and false doctrine.

I. Eternal Security (see also our article on Eternal Security)

Scripture does teach eternal security for those who are born of God (1 John 3:9; 5:4, 18), who are predestined before time began (Romans 8:29-39; 2 Timothy 1:9). But, Scripture also warns all believers to take heed lest they fall (Romans 11:22; Hebrews 2:1; 3:12-14; 4:1, 11; 12:15; James 5:9; 2 Peter 3:17), and this fall is unto perdition (Hebrews 10:26-39). Scripture also teaches that those who live sinful lives do not know God, and are on the path that leads to hell, not heaven (1 Corinthians 6:9; Ephesians 5:5-6).

Stanley's idea of eternal security is twisted (2 Peter 3:16), and turns the "grace of our God into lewdness" (Jude 4). In Stanley's book, Handbook for Christian Living (copyright 1996, Thomas Nelson Publishers, Nashville) Stanley writes,

Faith is simply the way we say yes to God's free gift of eternal life. Faith and salvation are not one and the same any more than a gift and the hand that receives it are the same. Salvation stands independently of faith. (p. 174, italics in original)

It is a lie to say, "Salvation stands independently of faith." Salvation and faith go hand in hand, as Ephesians 2:8 illustrates,

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.

Stanley continues,

Consequently, God does not require a constant attitude of faith in order to be saved - only an act of faith in Christ.

You and I are not saved because we have enduring faith. We are saved because at a moment in time we expressed faith in our Lord. (p. 174, italics in original)

In another place Stanley writes,

Even if a believer for all practical purposes becomes an unbeliever, his salvation is not in jeopardy. (Eternal Security, chapter 10, p. 93, copyright 1990, Thomas Nelson Publishers)

Contrary to this, Jesus said, "he who endures to the end shall be saved." Also, Revelation 21:8 says, "the unbelieving . . . shall have their part in the lake of fire and brimstone, which is the second death." Note also 1 Corinthians 15:1-2.

Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you-unless you believed in vain.

If someone believes at some "moment in time" but they do not "hold fast that word," they "believed in vain." This is the exact opposite of Mr. Stanley's teaching. Stanley opposes the Word of God, and by this, he turns the grace of God into lewdness.

Ephesians says, "you have been saved by grace through faith" (Ephesians 2:8). If there is no faith, there is no grace, and thus no salvation (Revelation 21:8). Yet Stanley says,

And last, believers who lose or abandon their faith will retain their salvation, for God remains faithful. (Eternal Security, p. 94)

Indeed, God remains faithful. He remains faithful to His word.

This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, we shall also live with Him. If we endure, we shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us. If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself. (2 Timothy 2:11-13)

Losing or abandoning one's faith is equal to and is one and the same as denying God, as Psalm 10:3-4 says,

For the wicked boasts of his heart's desire; He blesses the greedy and renounces the Lord. The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God; God is in none of his thoughts.

If someone loses or abandons their faith, they become wicked (Ezekiel 33:12-13), and they renounce the Lord, if not openly with their mouth, definitely in their heart (Psalm 14:1). If a person dies in such a state, God will deny that person on the day of judgment (e.g. Matthew 7:23; 10:32-33), and they will be cast into the lake of fire where all the "unbelieving" go (Revelation 21:8).

In this perverted view of salvation (see What Must I Do To Be Saved), Stanley spouts an oxymoron.

Christ will not deny an unbelieving Christian his or her salvation because to do so would be to deny Himself. (Eternal Security, p. 94)

An "unbelieving Christian" is a false Christian (1 John 2:4) who in reality rejects Christ (Titus 1:16). An "unbelieving Christian" is someone who has abandoned their faith in Christ, and Christ will most certainly deny such people (Titus 1:16; Matthew 10:33); because if He didn't, He would deny Himself. For He Himself said,

if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins (John 8:24; see also John 3:16-18).

And,

He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him - the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day (John 12:48).

Furthermore, in his twisted Eternal Security on page 130, Stanley obliterates Christ's serious warning of John 15:1-6. Quoting Mr. Zane Hodges from Absolutely Free Stanley writes,

This statement (John 15:6) has caused needless perplexity. The main reason for that is the strong impulse many readers have to identify the reference with fire to hell . . . . There is no reason at all to think of the fire as literal branches, or literal fruit. "Fire" here is simply another figurative element in the horticultural metaphor. (Absolutely Free [Grand Rapids, Mich.: Zondervon, 1989], p. 135)

The reason there is a "strong impulse many readers have to identify the reference with fire to hell" is because this is obviously what Christ is warning about, hell! His warning is, if you do not abide in Him (remain in Him), you will be cut off and cast into the fire (John 15:6), just as Romans 11:22 warns.

Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.

Also found in Stanley's Eternal Security is this statement:

It is not lying, cheating, stealing, raping, murdering, or being unfaithful that sends people to hell. It is rejecting Christ, refusing to put their trust in Him for the forgiveness of sin. (p. 70)

The truth is, it is all of the above and more that sends people to hell.

For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. (Ephesians 5:5-6; see also Psalm 7:11-16; Galatians 6:7-8; Revelation 20:11-15; 21:8)

Stanley deceives with "empty words." He also deceives with these words:

In John's first epistle, he warns Christians to take close inventory of their salvation if they continue in sin and do merrily and often and long: "No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in Him" (1 John 3:9 NASB). In other words, if sin is the constant bent of your life, you should wonder about your salvation. (Handbook for Christian Living, p. 139)

No, you should know your salvation doesn't exist!

Also in Stanley's perverted view of eternal security he teaches that you can "fall from grace" and believe a false gospel and still be saved, on your way to heaven!

Listen to how he says it in Galatians 5:4: "You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace." In this context, falling from grace has nothing to do with being lost or unsaved. The opposite of grace here is not becoming unsaved or lost; it is attempting to be saved by the works of the law. To fall from grace, then, is to abandon the salvation-by-grace model for justification and to adopt the salvation-by-works model. Paul was not threatening them with the loss of salvation, just a loss of freedom (Gal. 5:1). He didn't say they were falling from salvation. His concern was that they were falling away from God's system of grace, which would lead them right back into the frustration of living under the law. You may fall from grace, but you will never fall from salvation. Nothing can separate you from the love of God (Romans 8:37-39). (Ibid., p. 175)

Indeed, those who are "predestined" (Romans 8:29-39) will never be separated from the love of God. Yet, at the same time, God tells believers to keep themselves in His love (Jude 21).

Moreover, falling from God's grace equals falling from that which will save the soul, because it is "the grace of God that brings salvation" (Titus 2:11). Those who attempt "to be saved by the works of the law" are those who do not attain to the righteousness of God (Romans 9:30-32), because the righteousness of God comes "through faith in Jesus Christ" (Romans 3:22) "apart from the deeds of the law" (Romans 3:28). If you do not attain to the righteousness of God, you are not saved (Romans 9:30-10:1).

In the above quote Stanley teaches you can be estranged from Christ, and yet enter His kingdom. If this is so, who needs Jesus? According to Stanley, you can accept Him "at a moment in time" (Handbook for Christian Living, p. 174), and then throw Him away like a used rag (be "an unbelieving Christian")! You can fall for a false gospel, fall from His grace, be estranged from Him, and yet still enter His kingdom (Handbook for Christian Living, p. 175). This is lewdness! Contrary to Mr. Stanley, Paul said, "If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed" (1 Corinthians 16:22).

Finally, Stanley fits well the words of 2 Peter 2:19, "While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption." In his introduction to Eternal Security he writes,

I continually meet people who believe as I once believed. If it were simply a theological difference, I would be content to agree to disagree. It is far more than that. I know the bondage to which that kind of thinking leads. I have lived with the guilt and the fear fostered by that view. Jesus said, "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32). Freedom comes from knowing the truth. Bondage results from missing it.

The following pages are written in hopes that you will be set free to enjoy the relationship God has paid so dearly to provide. (p. 5)

With Stanley's false teaching on eternal security, he indeed promises them liberty, but he himself is caught in the bondage of damning lies (corruption).

II. Discipleship

In Luke 14:27 Jesus said, "And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple." And, in Luke 9:23-25 Jesus said,

If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost? (Luke 9:23-25; see also Matthew 16:24-26 and Mark 8:34-37)

It should be obvious from these verses that if someone does not follow Christ, they will be lost. In other words, they will go to hell (Revelation 21:8). Even though Stanley recognizes "A disciple is a follower of Christ." (Handbook for Christian Living, p. 461), he nevertherless teaches,

Discipleship has nothing to do with whether you will go to heaven or not. (Handbook for Christian Living, p. 460-461)

And,

It is possible to be a child of God and never a disciple of Christ. We can live the Christian life with the assurance of heaven as our ultimate destiny but miss the process of maturing as a disciple. (ibid., p. 461)

Scripture nowhere teaches this. On the contrary, Jesus said, "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me" (John 10:27). If you don't follow Christ (i.e. discipleship), you are not one of His sheep, and you do not have eternal life. It is His sheep to whom eternal life is given (John 10:28).

III. Suicide

Stanley teaches,

. . . suicide is an act of rebellion against God. Fortunately for all of us, however, God's grace is without prejudice. Whoever believes will be saved. Nowhere in the Bible does God compartmentalize sin and reserve grace only for those who commit "acceptable" sins. There is no such thing. Does God forgive suicide? Yes, He does.

If the person who committed suicide at some time accepted Jesus' death on the cross as payment for his sin debt and asked Him into his life, he is forgiven. Absolute assurance of forgiveness is found in Romans 8:1: "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus." If a person has ever taken that step and received Christ as Savior, nothing can alter the truth that, as children of God, we are forgiven. Even when we rebel against God. (Handbook for Christian Living, p. 49, italics in original)

This certainly gives a license for sin (lewdness). If things get too bad, Stanley gives the option of suicide with no threat of hell on the other side! This is a horrifying lie! Paul said to the Colossians,

And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight- if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, . . . (Colossians 1:21-23)

Committing suicide is being moved away from the hope of the gospel. The writer of Hebrews warned,

For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, (Hebrews 3:14)

Committing suicide is not holding fast to the end. It is rebelling against God and creating your own end. Stanley further says,

The fact that God's grace is sufficient and that forgiveness is available even in the case of suicide should never be taken as permission to follow through with the temptation to commit suicide. (Handbook for Christian Living, p. 49)

Why not? Heaven is certainly a far better place than this earth! Stanley's words are great swelling words of emptiness (2 Peter 2:18). Those who are desperately depressed and contemplating suicide could easily take great comfort in Stanley's deceit, brush aside his milk toast warning, kill themselves, and find themselves in hell (Luke 16:19-31). Such is the terrible reality of false teaching.

IV. A False God

Stanley says,

God does not intend for us to consider Him a stern Judge peering over the bench at the accused. Yet many believers have this perception of Him. For some reason they never get out of the courtroom and into the family room. To them, God is always a Judge and never a Father. (Handbook for Christian Living, p. 135)

The true God is always both a Judge and a Father.

And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one's work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear; (1 Peter 1:17)

Indeed God is gracious and forgiving (Psalm 103), but He is also "a stern Judge peering" at the accused. "For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and He ponders all his paths" (Proverbs 5:21). He is "of purer eyes than to behold evil, and cannot look on wickedness" (Habakkuk 1:13). This is why we need an Advocate (1 John 2:1), a Mediator (1 Timothy 2:5), and One who continues to intercede on our behalf (Hebrews 7:25). We are accused! We are accused by the Devil (Revelation 12:10) and our own sin (Romans 6:23; Isaiah 6:1-5; 1 John 1:7). Without the Son of God, we would be condemned (John 3:18).

Furthermore, Stanley says,

It is wrong to think God is angry. I know that earthly parents sometimes discipline out of anger. That is not correct discipline and teaches the wrong kind of lesson. God is not like that at all. (Handbook for Christian Living, p. 467, italics in original)

This is a lie. God is like that!

A Psalm of David. To bring to remembrance. O Lord, do not rebuke me in Your wrath, nor chasten me in Your hot displeasure! (Psalm 38:1)

David didn't say this because it was an impossibility, or because "God is not like that." He said it because God is like that! So much so that David was experiencing His anger right then.

For Your arrows pierce me deeply, and Your hand presses me down. There is no soundness in my flesh because of Your anger, (Psalm 38:2-3).

Stanley says, "It is wrong to think God is angry." It is wrong to believe Charles Stanley. Scripture reveals several times over that, even with believers, the Lord may very well get angry (Genesis 18:27,30,32; Exodus 4:14, 24-26; 2 Chronicles 19:1-2; Psalm 88:7,16; 89:46-47; 90:7-12; 102:8-10).

V. A Lover Of Himself

(see also T.D. Jakes)

Stanley promotes self-love.

But there is more. Not only am I to love God, but I am to love myself. "You shall love your neighbor as yourself" (Mark 12:31). Some say, "That sounds haughty and egotistical." The world has corrupted this self-love into the motto, "You gotta look out for number one." The Bible does not teach that. The Bible teaches a healthy love for ourselves because we are His workmanship and worth loving. (Handbook for Christian Living, p. 381)

Mark 12:31 is not a command to love yourself. It is a command to love your neighbor. People naturally love themselves (Ephesians 5:29). It is their neighbor that they find difficult to love (Titus 3:3; Romans 1:31; 2 Timothy 3:3). 2 Timothy 3:2 makes it clear that self-love is not a virtue.

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, . . . (2 Timothy 3:2)

Consistent with Stanley's self-love is Stanley's degradation of the cross of Christ.

Satan will say, "You're not worth loving." But God said, "You are My workmanship. You are worth My Son's dying for. You are incredibly valuable." (Handbook for Christian Living, p. 381-382)

God nowhere says, "You are worth My Son's dying for." or anything like this (Proverbs 30:5-6). On the contrary, God says,

A worthless person, a wicked man, walks with a perverse mouth; (Proverbs 6:12)

The tongue of the righteous is choice silver; the heart of the wicked is worth little. (Proverbs 10:20)

Behold, the nations are as a drop in a bucket, and are counted as the small dust on the scales; . . . All nations before Him are as nothing, and they are counted by Him less than nothing and worthless. (Isaiah 40:15-17)

For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:6-8)

In other words, while we were worth little and worthless as sinners, and God even hated us (Psalm 5:5; 11:5), God loved us and sent His Son to die for us (John 3:16; Romans 5:10; Ephesians 2:1-5).

VI. Darkness

Consistent with the fact that the blackness of darkness is reserved for Mr. Stanley (2 Peter 2:17), Stanley's view of "outer darkness" is seriously perverted. In the context of Matthew 25:14-30 Stanley writes,

The final verse of this parable is so severe that many commentators assume it is a description of hell. It is not. (Eternal Security, p. 124)

What verse is Stanley talking about? Matthew 25:30:

And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Stanley further says of this verse,

Before we can understand the full impact of the parable, we must first determine what the "outer darkness" refers to in the context of the parable. It certainly does not mean hell in the parable. (Eternal Security, p. 125)

A little later he likewise says, "This place is clearly not hell." (ibid.) Stanley clearly does not understand the Bible, and works at swaying others from its truth (2 Timothy 3:13)!

The parable itself calls this man a "wicked and lazy servant" (Matthew 25:26). God says, "Upon the wicked He will rain coals; fire and brimstone and a burning wind shall be the portion of their cup" (Psalm 11:6). In truth, the wicked get "cast" into the lake of fire, i.e. hell (Revelation 20:11-15; 21:8). But where does Stanley say they go (in the context of this parable and his book)?

Where is this place represented by the "outer darkness" in Jesus' parable? To be in the "outer darkness" is to be in the kingdom of God but outside the circle of men and women whose faithfulness on this earth earned them a special rank or position of authority. (Eternal Security, p. 126, italics in original)

In other words, wicked people will be in the kingdom of God, according to Stanley. Thank God, Stanley is a liar.

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. (Galatians 6:7-8)

VII. Lewdness In Leadership

In Luke 14:33 Jesus said, "whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple." Jesus did not say, "you must be willing to forsake all," but rather you must "forsake all." He also said, "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it." In order to be a true man of God (i.e. saved), you cannot desire to save your life, but you must forsake all, and lose your life for Christ (Galatians 2:20).

In Stanley's book, Handbook for Christian Living, Stanley records a time in which he spoke to "a group of ministers."

I was speaking to a group of ministers, and I asked them how many of them wanted to know God like the apostle Paul did. Each pastor raised his hand. I then asked how many were willing to go through stonings, beatings, shipwreck, prison, being left for dead, and many other persecutions that the apostle experienced. No one raised his hand. (p. 185)

Since Stanley believes you can be an "unbelieving Christian" (Eternal Security, p. 94), instead of exposing these men as false (Ephesians 5:11), Stanley writes,

I understand the hesitancy. No one enjoys pain and hurt. But we prove His immeasurable grace in the middle of terrific heartache.

Paul was consumed with the gospel of grace. He was willing to die for it. (ibid.)

Paul was not only willing to die for the gospel, but he longed to know "the fellowship of His sufferings" (Philippians 1:20; 3:10), and He did know the fellowship of His sufferings (2 Corinthians 6:8-10; 11:23-29). Why? Because he was a true man of God. This "group of ministers" are false teachers unwilling to "endure hardship" (2 Timothy 2:3). In fact, note the wording in 2 Timothy 2:3: "You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ." Hardship must be endured, as Paul and Barnabas said in Acts 14:22, "We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God."

Matt: 7

12Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

13Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

15Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

16Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Interesting News letter:

The Friday Church News Notes is designed for use in churches and is published by Way of Life Literature’s Fundamental Baptist Information Service.

Unless otherwise stated, the Notes are written by David Cloud. Of necessity we quote from a wide variety of sources, but this does not imply an endorsement.

BILLY VS. PAUL (Friday Church News Notes, October 1, 2010, www.wayoflife.org, fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, which was founded in 1950, is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. A year earlier, Graham conducted his first citywide crusade in Los Angeles. His web site announces, “Sixty-one years ago, a tall, earnest evangelist known as Billy Graham descended on Los Angeles with a fury. The city, the young man, and the course of American Christianity would never be the same” (“Celebrating Christ’s Work in the Canvas Cathedral,” BillyGraham.org, Sept. 24, 2010). This statement is true. Billy Graham’s unscriptural philosophy and deep compromise has dramatically changed Christianity in our time. I was born the same year that Graham conducted his Los Angeles crusade. Growing up in a Southern Baptist home, I heard nothing but praise for the evangelist. It was not until I was saved at age 23 that I formed a different opinion of Billy Graham. As a young Christian I learned that Jesus and the apostles warned that false teachers and compromise would increase among the churches throughout the church age and would explode at the end of the age. I learned, therefore, that I had to be very careful and test everything by the Scriptures. When Graham’s ministry is tested by God’s Word rather than by the principles of popular evangelism, it fails miserably. Let’s briefly compare Billy Graham with the apostle Paul, the premier evangelist of the first century.

First, Paul didn’t promote himself. He didn’t form a ministry named for himself and didn’t exalt himself (and allow others to exalt him) as something great.

Second, Paul didn’t praise heretics. Rather, he condemned and even cursed them (e.g., Galatians 1:6-7). Graham, on the other hand, has praised countless heretics, including theological modernists and Roman Catholic prelates. This was not done in a corner. Countless examples can be found in Graham’s autobiography “Just As I Am.”

Third, Paul didn’t join hands with heretics in ministry. Nowhere is there an example of Paul joining together with the Pharisees or Saducees or Judaizers in some evangelistic enterprise. But Billy has made this his working practice, and this damnable ecumenical philosophy has spread throughout evangelicalism.

Fourth, Paul didn’t turn converts over to heretics. He carefully nurtured them in sound churches. Billy, on the other hand, has turned countless seekers over to the hands of wolves in sheep’s clothing. As early as Sept. 21, 1957, Graham said in an interview with the San Francisco News, “Anyone who makes a decision at our meetings is seen later and referred to a local clergyman, Protestant, Catholic, or Jewish.”

Fifth, Paul didn’t encourage people to worship idols, but Billy has done exactly this. On his trip to Poland in 1979, Graham stood in front of the idolatrous shrine of the Black Madonna of Jasna Gora in Czestochowa and smilingly greeted the Catholic worshippers who were there to venerate Rome’s false Mary as Queen of Heaven. A photograph of this was published in the February 1979 issue of Decision magazine, a copy of which I obtained a few years ago from the Graham Center at Wheaton College. By preaching in the Catholic churches in Poland and by visiting that nation’s major Mary shrine and not plainly telling the people that the Roman Catholic gospel is false and by pretending that the Catholic prelates and priests are fellow believers, Graham confused multitudes of people about the nature of the very gospel itself.

Sixth, Paul didn’t narrow down his message for the sake of gaining a wider audience. He told the elders at Ephesus, “For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God” (Acts 20:27). Billy, on the other hand, only preaches the gospel and refuses to deal with other matters.

Seventh, Paul didn’t contemplate another way of salvation, preaching that all men who have not been born again by faith in Christ are “dead in trespasses and sins,” “having no hope, and without God” (Eph. 2:1, 12). Billy, on the other hand, stated in an interview with McCall’s magazine in January 1978 that he no longer believes that “pagans in far-off countries are lost and going to hell if they do not hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ.” He repeated this heresy in 1985, 1993, and 1997.

These are only a few of the ways that Billy Graham falls short when tested by the light of God’s Word. His evangelistic ministry is not a New Testament ministry, but no one seems to care, which only highlights the depth of the apostasy today. (Further documentation for these statements can be found in the report “Billy Graham’s Sad Disobedience,” which is available at the Way of Life web site.)

LESBIAN ORDAINED AS THE DEAN OF GRACE CATHEDRAL (Friday Church News Notes, October 1, 2010, www.wayoflife.org, fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - In November, Jane Alison Shaw will become the first “openly gay dean” of Grace Cathedral in San Francisco. She will also be the first female dean. The Cathedral is the headquarters for the Episcopal Church in California. Shaw is the latest in a line of apostate deans at Grace. James Pike (1913-69), for instance, denied every article of the Christian faith, including Christ’s divinity and virgin birth. He was an alcoholic, a multiple adulterer, and participated in seances in an attempt to contact his dead son.

SOUTHERN BAPTIST OFFICER SAYS PASTORS ARE AFRAID TO PREACH THE TRUTH (Friday Church News Notes, October 1, 2010, www.wayoflife.org, fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - Ron Herrod, the first vice president of the Southern Baptist Convention, says that pastors are afraid to preach the truth. He told the Baptist Press: “We seem to be afraid today to tell the truth about doctrine, about moral issues, about spiritual warfare. ... Our people in our churches need to know some of the old truths such as the fear of God, which we don’t hear much about these days, holiness, repentance” (“Declare Truth in Pulpits, SBC 1st VP Says,” BP News, Sept. 22, 2010). Thank you, Ron. You are right about this, and we have been saying it for decades! Broadly speaking, in the SBC you’re not going to hear straightforward preaching on the whole counsel of God and warning about all of the isms that God’s people are facing. You might hear Heaven sweet, but not Hell hot. You might hear a half-apologetic call to separate from the world in vague generalities, but not in any down-to-earth detail. You will not hear any warnings about rock and country music. You might hear a vague warning about the danger of “heretics” in general, but you won’t hear the names of the heretics that Southern Baptists love, such as Robert Schuller, Norman Vincent Peale, Jack Hayford, Richard Foster, Dallas Willard, John Michael Talbot, Rob Bell, Brennan Manning, G.K. Chesterton, Brian McLaren, Tony Campolo, and William Young. You might hear a vague warning about “compromise” within evangelicalism, but you won’t hear that some of the chief compromisers of our day are popular men such as Billy Graham, James Dobson, Rick Warren, Charles Swindoll, David Jeremiah, Beth Moore, Greg Laurie, Max Lucado, Philip Yancey, Bill Hybels, John Maxwell, Chuck Colson, Joseph Stowell, and Jim Cymbala. Not only will you not hear this type of preaching at the vast majority of Southern Baptist churches, but you won’t hear it in most Independent Baptist churches today, either.

THE NEW “CONSERVATIVE” SAVIORS OF AMERICA (Friday Church News Notes, October 1, 2010, www.wayoflife.org, fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Hugh Hewitt, Carson Daly, Stephen Colbert, Morton Downey Jr., Dennis Miller, Tim Russert -- Roman Catholics. John Ziegler -- a “recovering Roman Catholic” who labels himself an agnostic. Ann Coulter -- who speaks at homosexual conferences and lashes out viciously at those who have the audacity to reprove her. Michael Medved, Mark Levin, Dennis Prager, Michael Savage, Laura Schlesinger -- Jewish. Fox News -- a cable news channel owned by a pornography distributor that promotes “conservative” politics in the midst of a massive dose of the fleshly pop culture. Scott Brown -- posed nude in a magazine during his modeling career and has refused to renounce it. Glenn Beck -- a New Age Mormon who believes man can be the divine “I Am” and says homosexual marriage is not a problem for America.

DIVORCE INSURANCE (Friday Church News Notes, October 1, 2010, www.wayoflife.org, fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - The following is excerpted from Christian Post, Sept. 22, 2010: “People buy insurance to financially protect themselves against undesirable events – house fire, health problems. But now people can ‘protect’ themselves against a marriage gone wrong. With only a 50 percent chance that a first marriage will last in the United States, some people are buying into the idea that they need divorce insurance. The idea became reality in August when John Logan, a man who suffered great financial loss after a divorce, launched a wedlock insurance company. For as little as $16 a month for every $1,250 coverage, policyholders can cash into the divorce coverage after four years if the unfortunate but not unforeseen happens. On WedLock’s website, it admits no one wants to think about divorce when the person is about to get married. But it points potential clients to a long list of ‘statistics [that] don’t lie’ showing divorce is prevalent in U.S. society. According to the prediction of the U.S. Census Bureau, only 33 percent of people who marry today will reach their 25th anniversary. The site also features a large counter that shows there have been 686,025 divorces in the U.S. so far this year (at the time of the article), according to the National Center of Health Statistics. But not everyone is a fan of the divorce insurance and the idea it plants in a marriage. Jenny Tyree, marriage analyst for CitizenLink, the political arm of Focus on the Family, said divorce insurance builds into a marriage an ‘escape plan’ rather than setting it on the foundation of strong marital commitment. ... ‘a financial incentive for divorce is a terrible way to begin a marriage. When the going gets tough, which it inevitably will in every marriage, that money might look better than the hard work required by the husband and wife to get through the hard times,’ she said. Statistics suggest that the level of commitment wanes with each subsequent marriage. The divorce rate is 67 percent for second marriages and rockets to 74 percent for third marriages, according to Jennifer Baker, the director of the Center for Professional Solutions at the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology in Springfield, Mo.”

HUMANISTS HAVE LONG BRAGGED THAT PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM DESTROYS BIBLICAL FAITH (Friday Church News Notes, October 1, 2010, www.wayoflife.org, fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - Paul Blanshard made the following statement in the 1976 edition of The Humanist magazine: “I think that the most important factor moving us toward a secular society has been the educational factor. Our schools may not teach Johnny to read properly, but the fact that Johnny is in school until he is 16 tends to lead toward the elimination of religious superstition. The average American child now acquires a high school education, and this militates against Adam and Eve and all the other myths of alleged history" (The Humanist, March/April 1976, p. 17).

AHMADINEJAD PRAYS FOR COMING OF TWELFTH IMAM (Friday Church News Notes, October 1, 2010, www.wayoflife.org, fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - Speaking to the U.N. General Assembly, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad prayed for the soon coming of the Twelfth Imam, otherwise known as the Imam al-Mahdi. He said, “O God, hasten the arrival of Imam alMahdi and grant him good health and victory and make us his followers and those who attest to his righteousness” (“Ahmadinejad Asks Allah to Hasten,” Assistnews.net, Sept. 24, 2010). The “victory” to which Ahmadinejad referred is the establishment of Allah’s kingdom on earth. The Imam Mahdi, believed by Shiites to have disappeared as a child in A.D. 941, is supposed to return and reign on earth for seven years before bringing about a final judgment and the end of the world (“Jesus, Mahdi Both Coming, Says Iran’s Ahmadinejad,” WorldNetDaily, Dec. 19, 2006). The Twelfth Imam is supposed to be accompanied by Jesus, who will take a subordinate position. According to the Bible, the next event on God’s calendar is the Catching Away of church-age saints (1 Thessalonians 4:13 - 5:5), followed by the appearance of the Antichrist (who will come on the scene as a man of peace) and a prophet that will accompany him (2 Thess. 2:3-12; Revelation 13). Doubtless one or the other of these men will be accepted by the Jews, by apostate Christians, by the Muslims, and by Hindus and Buddhists, as well. Mankind will rejoice that the Middle East problem has been solved and the long-awaited “Age of Aquarius” has arrived, but the peace party will be short-lived and the Antichrist will show his true colors, setting himself up in Israel’s temple as god and requiring the world’s worship at the point of death. The Aquarian Age Community has accredited NGO status with the United Nations and conducts its meetings in a conference room at the U.N. headquarters. AAC is based on Alice Bailey’s channeled messages from the supposed Ascended Masters and has the objective of ushering a Cosmic Christ into the world to create a mystical new world order. The AAC’s web site identifies this Christ as Buddha, Maitreya, and “the Imam Mahdi” and says he “works by means of a meditation centred within the heart.” The Aquarian Age Community participates in meditation and other mystical practices in the meditation room at the UN building (http://www.aquaac.org/un/medmtgs.html#dates). (For more about the United Nations and the New Age see our book The New Age Tower of Babel, available in print and e-book formats from Way of Life Literature.)

CONCLUSION: The Friday Church News Notes is designed for use in churches and is published by Way of Life Literature’s Fundamental Baptist Information Service. Unless otherwise stated, the Notes are written by David Cloud. Of necessity we quote from a wide variety of sources, but this does not imply an endorsement. We trust that our readers will not be discouraged. It is God’s will that we know the times (1 Ch. 12:32; Mat. 16:3) and that we be as wise as serpents and harmless as doves. The News Notes remind us that the hour is very late, and we need to be ready for the Lord’s coming. Are you sure that you are born again? Are you living for Christ? “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof” (Rom. 13:11-14).

Benny Hinn - False Prophet!

Fake Healer Benny Hinn - For the Love of MONEY

"But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." 1 Timothy 6:9-10

False Prophet Alert!!!

Jesus never instructed His disciples to take up "love gifts" to support His ministry. Jesus said, "Provide neither gold nor silver nor copper in your money belts, nor bag for your journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; for a worker is worthy of his food." Matthew 10:9-10

There is a plethora of dead-beat ministries on the radio and so-called "Christian" broadcast networks. It should make any Christian sick and upset. The simple gospel of Jesus Christ has been polluted with teachings about "financial seeds" and "divine faith healing." God's house has been turned once again into a "den of thieves!"

We must NOT compromise or water down the truth. These people are all about making filthy-lucre. It takes more than a loose tongue and a few "hallelujahs" to fool a Christian who is familiar with his or her Bible (1611 King James Bible). Faith healers masquerade as "God's Anointed" yet they turn the gift of salvation into a charismatic infomercial with the goal of getting their hands on your money. They should be ashamed, but they are not.

The Business Of Faith Healing

I believe in miracles but not modern day miracle workers. The Bible is clear in James chapter 5 that it is "the prayer of faith" which heals the sick--not the shenanigans of a false prophet! I have yet to see anyone that qualifies as a legitimate miracle worker today. I'd like to see Benny Hinn heal ONE cripple.

When a miracle worker does come along, he will be the antichrist. The False Prophet and the Antichrist will be empowered by Satan to work miracles and deceive a lost world.

If there are no legitimate faith healers, then why are there so many people claiming the gift of healing?

The answer is simple. Faith healers make a lot of money!!! The faith healing business is nothing more than a money making scam, one of many heresies afflicting the church today. It is high time people start rebuking the real sickness afflicting the church, fake healers.

Put faith healers to the test and they will fail every time. There is a big difference between saying and doing. Faith healers point to testimonials to support their claims, but testimonials are a dime a dozen. Some people will testify to anything. A testimonial is not evidence! A proper test of a faith healer is what is needed.

A true faith healer could march into a hospital, which is where you find people in need of a miracle, and empty the beds--But this won't happen! Why? Because they are liars and evil prophets. Real miracles can't be faked. Benny Hinn took this test once. He was invited into a hospital for a miracle service. Afterwards Benny claimed many people were healed. The evidence shows no one was healed by Benny.

Which of the twelve Apostles besides Judas would wear diamond rings and a diamond Rolex watch? "Do not let your adornment be merely outward-- arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel" 1 Peter 3:3

Modern day faith healers do not have any supernatural power. They are like magicians putting on a performance. Magic is not real, it is based on illusions. The same is true of faith healers today. They act out well-practiced and staged magic tricks for a fee or what they like to call "love gifts."

An examination into the excessive lifestyles led by faith healers reveals their true intentions. Faith healing is a business, a money making scam, one of many heresies afflicting the church today.

Benny and his entourage fly on the Concorde ($9,000 per ticket) and stay in Presidential suites ($2,000 per night). Jesus said, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head." Matthew 8:20

Scripture says to test all things to see if they are of God. An examination into the excessive lifestyle led by faith healers, their false claims of miraculous healing, and their false teachings and there is no doubt that faith healers are fake healers.

The Palestinian Con Artist

The most notorious "faith healer" alive today is without a doubt Benny Hinn. If an Oscar were ever to go to the most blasphemous charismatic performance during a "faith-healing" crusade or service, Benny would be nominated and win.

Here we have a man that has made millions putting on faith healing services, yet Benny has never healed so much as a scratch on one of his victims. In fact a person is more likely to be injured by someone falling down on top of them than they are of being healed by Benny. Still, people rally to the stage to receive the "healing touch" of Benny. Now that is some illusion!

Stacks of cash pile up on over forty desks inside the Benny Hinn Ministries money counting room. Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have" Acts 3:6 Judas Iscariot did not care for the poor, "but because he was a thief, and had the money box; and he used to take what was put in it." John 12:6

Benny Hinn is a Palestinian Arab born in 1952 in Jaffa, Israel, to a Greek father and an Armenian mother. Benny was raised in the Greek Orthodox religion and went to French Catholic schools. In 1968 the Hinn family moved to Toronto, Canada.

Evidently, Benny became a charismatic in 1972 shortly after attending a Kathryn Kuhlman service. The only thing that is consistent with Benny is the inconsistency of his stories. In terms of his conversion, there have been at least half a dozen different stories. One can only wonder which one if any is accurate.

Hinn decide the faith healing business was for him. So by December 1974 he began holding weekly healing meetings in Oshawa, Ontario, despite his complete lack of formal study or knowledge of scripture.

In 1983 Benny moved his operations to the Orlando Christian Center in Florida. Following some legal troubles, he decide in late 1999 to move his operations to Dallas, Texas. Texas is the Mecca of faith healers. It is very hard to prosecute religious scam artists in the Lone Star State.

Over the past few years Benny has moved in and taken over Paul and Jan Crouch's TBN television program. Benny was a good fit with the charismatic Jan Crouch. Benny and Jan have turned TBN into a charismatic big top.

Jan claims to have raised a chicken from the dead when she was a little girl. Supposedly a truck ran over the bird. Jan simply poured oil over it and the little chicken came back to life.

Benny just couldn't be topped by the false prophetess Jan, so Benny then claimed a man was raised from the dead at one of his services. Right! Benny has still not repented so if you ask me, there is still a dead man on stage at every Benny Crusade.

Benny's fellow faith healers at Oral Roberts University granted him an honorary doctorate degree. How convenient!

Hinn has documented his false teachings in several books including Good Morning Holy Spirit, The Anointing, The Blood, This Is Your Day for a Miracle and He Touched Me.

"But there was a certain man called Simon, who previously practiced sorcery in the city and astonished the people of Samaria, claiming that he was someone great, to whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, "This man is the great power of God." Acts 8:9-10

And they heeded him because he had astonished them with his sorceries for a long time." Acts 8:11

"And when Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money, saying, "Give me this power also, that anyone on whom I lay hands may receive the Holy Spirit." Acts 8:18-19

"But Peter said to him, "Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money! "You have neither part nor portion in this matter, for your heart is not right in the sight of God. "Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you. "For I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquity." Acts 8:20-23

Exposing Fake Healers

At a professional magic show today you will see a good entertainer perform unbelievable "magic tricks." Simply put magic tricks are very clever illusions. Magicians are illusionists. Their performance is based on the principle that people are gullible and the human mind is very easy to trick. But most magicians are careful not to claim supernatural power. This is the only difference between magicians and fake healers. Fake healers claim to perform miracles.

The truth is fake healers are like parasites preying on the weak and sick. When the human spirit and body have been devastated by an illness it leaves a person vulnerable. Many people go to faith healers because all other means of a cure have failed. They look at a miracle as their last chance to get their health back. Fake healers understand this human weakness and they use it to get what they want, money.

Lets go behind the stage at a faith healing service and expose what is really going on.

Mailing List Crusades - Believe it or not the primary purpose of a faith healing crusade is to obtain new names for the fake healer's mailing list. A major source of income for a faith healing ministry is derived from their mail order business such as books, tapes, and love gifts. The big fish are "love partners" that can be deceived into sending in monthly donations, revenue from tax returns, estate sales, and even Living Trusts.
The Anointing, Selling The Act - Watch a Benny Hinn faith healing service and you will hear over and over again, "God told me." Fake healers sell their act by giving the impression that they are speaking to God and hearing from Him personally. After all if God talks to them they must be legitimate. Kenneth Copeland goes so far as to stop right in the middle of his speech saying, "Yes, yes, okay, thank you Sir," to give the impression that God just told Kenny something. Kenny quickly follows this up by interjecting some revelation on planting "financial seeds," with his ministry of course.
"Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!' Matthew 7:22-23

Celebrity Testimonials - Another way of selling the faith healer is to use testimonials from celebrities. Heavyweight champion Evander Hollyfield is a favorite of Benny Hinn. Supposedly Benny healed Evander's heart problems. It has now come to light that Evander was misdiagnosed in the first place.
Enablers - Unbeknownst to most is that several of the "miraculously healed" at faith healing services are actually supporting actors that travel along with the rest of the cast on the "faith-healing" circuit. These "enablers" help sell the act by presenting themselves as someone cured by Mr. or Mrs. Fake Healer. They are perfectly healthy individuals. But prior to a show they will take up positions on stage or in the audience with their props, typically crutches or a wheelchair. Many enablers put on disguises and die their hair from service to service to keep from being recognized.
Discernment - There is no miracle associated with how fake healers "discern" illnesses during a service. Information is gathered in several ways. Primarily data is collected on prayer requests prior to a service. This information is augmented by interviews by an assistant and someone pretending to be a doctor validating their condition and perhaps miracle. All the information collected by the faith healing team is passed on to the fake healer. The team is actually in control of the show. They provide the data required to pull off an illusion of miracles. When you see a group of people all sitting in the same brand of stripped down wheelchair it is because the wheelchairs are owned by the fake healer's ministry. Truly disabled persons spend much of their lives in a wheelchair so naturally they equip it for their specific needs. Assistants "suggest" to some people that they should sit down in the wheelchair so they can be wheeled up to the stage. A skilled faith healer will also use tricks like asking people to raise their arms in praise to help identify those with limited arm movement.
Crib Sheets - The most popular way to get discerning information to the fake healer is to put it in writing on crib sheets. Crib sheets are cheat sheets used by cheaters. Many times they will actually leave the crib sheets on the podium during the service. But you can bet they are destroyed like top secret documents after the service. W. V. Grant's was finally exposed when his crib sheets were handpicked out of some trash. You can bet crib sheets are put through a shredder today.
Hand Gestures - Fake healers frequently use hand gestures to signal assistants for a new set of crib sheets or data to be used to "discern" an illness of another victim. Following the hand gesture you will see assistants whispering information to the faith healer and bringing a new victim on stage.
Code Words - Code words like saying "Amen, Amen, Amen," are also used to signal assistants when a new "revelation" is required. Elizabeth Popoff electronically transmitted messages on cue from a database to a miniature receiver in Peter Popoff's ear during his faith healing services. This allowed Peter to miraculously "discern" health information. The Popoff ministry was expose one day when some of these electronic messages were recorded and made public on CNN.
The Shotgun Technique - Another method used to create an illusion of discernment is the shotgun technique. The fake healer simply announces that a certain number of people in the audience are being healed of a certain disease, without ever specifying who they are.
The Leg-Stretching Miracle - A favorite illusion of fake healers is the leg-stretching miracle. The fake announces that a subject has a "short leg" that needs to be adjusted. He brings the person on stage and seats him in a chair. Next the fake performs a simple carnival trick. As the subject sits the fake twists his hand so that one shoe or boot is slightly off the foot (the farther one) and the other shoe is pressed tightly against the sole. By reversing the twist the loose shoe is pushed on against that sole and the two feet are now seen to be the same length.
The Sight Miracle - Another favorite illusion of fake healers if the dramatic healing of the blind. The truth is none of these people are totally blind. This is the clever suggestion implied by the fake healer. These people suffer from limited sight, not total blindness. This type of useful information is recovered in the auditorium lobby before the program typically in miracle requests and questionnaires.
Cold Reading - A cold reading is the least preferred method of discernment for a fake healer because it can open the door for embarrassing moments. A cold reading is when the fake has not been supplied with any crib notes on the victim. They have no inside information and must wing it. Special techniques are used by the fake to pull off the illusion during a cold reading. These are the same techniques used by fortunetellers. General statements are thrown out and the victim is encouraged to make it fit.
A Way Out - Fake healers always leave a way out of a false statement. Putting the blame back on the victim covers up when a fake incorrectly discerns. "You do not have enough faith." How do you get enough faith? The fake healer defines "faith" as putting more money into their faith healing ministry. These guilt trips are introduced on Sunday as "financial seed" sermons - "give and you shall receive, God wants you to be rich, name it and claim it."

What Damage Has Benny Hinn Caused?

Faith healers like Benny are robbing God's church. The damage they cause is immeasurable:

1. Interference with proper treatment of patients.

2. Financial loss to the victims.

3. Diversion of vital church resources.

4. Blaspheming against the Holy Spirit by imitating gifts.

5. Perverting the gospel of "faith" with false doctrines.

6. Teaching a wicked generation to look for signs.

7. Confusing an already confused world.

8. Offering false hope to the sick, elderly and afflicted.

It is impossible to estimate just how much money is extracted yearly from the victims of faith healers. And the sad truth is fake healers will always be with us. The small but irreducible percentage of people that will believe anything, no matter how ridiculous, will continue to dump cash into the fake healing racket.

"For a bishop must be blameless, as a steward of God, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money" Titus 1:7

I would not want to be a faith healer on judgment day. They can fool man but they can not fool God!

Benny Hinn - False Claims

Benny claimed that his father was the mayor of Jaffa, Israel. When confronted with this lie Benny acknowledged that his father did not have the title of mayor, but says he performed the functions of mayor. The truth is Benny's father was "a clerk in an Arab labor office."

Benny says he was miraculously cured of stuttering. The truth is people familiar with Benny's since his youth say that he never had a stuttering problem.
Benny claims that a dead man placed on his stage was raised back to life. As far as I know Benny has still not repented and asked for God's forgiveness.
Benny claims to have raised people out of wheelchairs, given blind eyes sight, opened the ears of the deaf, and also healed at least four people of AIDS. Not a single case has been substantiated.
On Paul and Jan Crouch's TBN television program, Praise The Lord, Trinity Broadcasting Network, October 19, 1999, Benny said the following: "You're going to have people raised from the dead watching this network... people around the world who will lose loved ones, will say to undertakers, "Not yet. I want to take my dead loved one and place him in front of that TV set for 24 hours." I'm telling you. People will be -- people -- I'm telling you, I feel the anointing talking here. People are going to be canceling funeral services and bringing their dead in their caskets, placing them -- my God! I feel the anointing here -- placing them before a television set, waiting for God's power to come through and touch them ... You wait. Now the Lord just told me..."
Benny claimed on another occasion during a TBN broadcast that "the Lord was in front of him" and when he moved his arm so did Jesus. When he moved his foot so did Jesus. This continued until they walked together and they merged becoming one. Like I said before, until Benny repents from such blasphemy there will continue to be at least one dead man showing up at every Benny show.

Benny Hinn - False Teachings

Benny's on stage antics are matched only by the heresy he peddles as "personal revelation from God." Don't take my word for it, you decide for yourself. Benny Hinn stands or falls on his own words. According to Benny, Adam could fly like a bird, Eve gave birth out of her side, we are little gods, a man was raised from the dead on his stage, there are nine in the Holy Trinity, Jesus died spiritually, and Jesus took on Satan's nature.

Here is just a sample of Benny's false teachings from the past and present:

Adam Could Fly, To The Moon
"Adam was a super being when God created him. I don't know whether people know this, but he was the first Superman that really ever lived. First of all, the Scriptures declare clearly that he had dominion over the fowls of the air, the fish of the sea - which means he used to fly. Of course, how can he have dominion over the birds and not be able to do what they do? I'll prove it further. Adam not only flew, he flew to space. He was-with one thought he would be on the moon." (Praise the Lord, TBN, 26th December 1991).

Eve Gave Birth Out Of Her Side

"The Holy Spirit says, 'God's original plan is that the woman was to bring forth children out of her side" (Our Position in Christ#5,1990,audiotape,s de2)
You Are A Little God Running Around Earth - "When you say, 'I am a Christian,' you are saying, 'I am mashiach,' in the Hebrew. I am a little messiah walking on earth, in other words. That is a shocking revelation. ...May I say it like this? You are a little god on earth running around" (Praise-a-Thon, TBN, 6th November'90)
Are you ready for some real revelation knowledge....you are god (Benny Hinn, Our Position In Christ, tape # AO31190-1)

Never Say, "Lord, If It Be Thy Will." - "Never, ever, ever go the Lord and say, 'If it be thy will....' Don't allow such faith-destroying words to be spoken from your mouth" (Rise and Be Healed!, 1991, p47-48).
Jesus Faces The Father AS A Man - "God came from heaven, became a man, made man into little gods, went back to heaven as a man. He faces the Father as a man. I face devils as the son of God. (Benny Hinn, Our Position in Christ #2-The Word Made Flesh (Orlando: Orlando Christian Center, 1991, videotape #255)
Jesus Would Have Sinned Without The Holy Spirit - "Had the Holy Spirit not been with Jesus, He would have sinned. That's right, it was the Holy Spirit that was the power that kept Him pure. He was not only sent from heaven, but He was called the Son of Man - and as such He was capable of sinning... Without the Holy Ghost, Jesus would have never have made it... Can you imagine Christ headed for the grave, knowing He would remain there forever, if the Holy Ghost would change His mind about raising Him from the dead? (Benny Hinn, Good Morning, Holy Spirit, first edition Nashville: Thomas Nelson, 1990, 135-36)
Jesus Became One In Nature With Satan - "Jesus knew the only way He would stop Satan is by becoming one in nature with him ... He became one with the nature of Satan, so all those who had the nature of Satan can partake of the nature of God. Benny Hinn, TBN, 15th December 1990).
Jesus Died Spiritually - "Before He died, I should say, on that cross, something happened to Him which began the wheels of the New Creation moving that was this: He died spiritually! ...Jesus Christ understood that spiritual death is union with the satanic nature." (New Creation in Christ sermon, late 1988).
Jesus Was Born Again In Hell - "Jesus was born again [in hell]" (Our Position in Christ#1, 1991, audio-tape).
The Trinity Is Actually Comprised Of Nine - "Each one of them is a triune being by Himself...there's nine of them" (Benny Hinn, TBN, 3rd October 1990).
Health - No Sickness For Saints - "There will be no sickness for the saint of God" (Rise and Be Healed!, 1991, p14); "He promises to heal all- every one, any, any whatsoever, everything- all our diseases! That means not even a headache, sinus problem, not even a toothache- nothing! No sickness should come your way" (ibid., p32); "God's greatest desire for the church of Jesus Christ...is that we be in total and perfect health" (ibid., p65); "If your body belongs to God, it does not and cannot belong to sickness" (ibid., p62);
Wealth - God Wants You To Be Rich - "The Lord giveth and never taketh away. And just because [Job] said, 'Blessed be the name of the Lord,' don't mean that he's right. When he said, 'Blessed be the name,' he was just being religious" (Benny Hinn, TBN, November 1990);
"Years ago they used to preach, 'O we are going to walk on streets of gold.' I would say, 'I don't need the gold up there. I've got to have it down here'" (Praise-a-Thon, TBN, 2nd April 1991).

"The wicked are piling up the funds and I love the way John [Avazini] teaches on this. He's the best there is on how to get the wealth of the wicked. Man, I like it!" (Praise-a-Thon, TBN, 6th November 1990.)

"Poverty is a demon. God had to show me a vision of a demon literally to prove this to me... I had a vision in my bedroom. I was asleep and woke up and right in front of my face I saw a devil. You say, 'You saw it?' Yes, sir, I did. If you have troubles with it, that's your problem. And that thing was mocking me in my bedroom. And the Lord spoke and said to me, 'That is the demon of poverty.' (TBN, 1990).

The Anointing Is Mandatory To Serve The Lord - "I am not overstating the case. The anointing is mandatory if you are called to serve the Lord. Without it there will be no growth, no blessing, no victory in your ministry." (The Anointing, p.79.)
Benny Is Jesus In The Flesh - "I am not, hear me, I AM NOT PART OF HIM, I AM HIM! THE WORD HAS BECOME FLESH IN ME!. ...When my hand touches someone, it's the hand of Jesus touching somebody" (Our Position in Christ).
Benny Has Healed Thousands - "Hundreds of verified healings and thousands of conversions have occurred including people rising from wheelchairs and leaving crutches. Several blind eyes and deaf ears have been opened and verified" (The Anointing, 1992, pp94-95).
Benny's Speech Releases Faith - "Faith is released when I speak the word of faith." (Benny Hinn, TBN, 6th July 1992.)
Benny Gives Revelations - "Please, please, please, don't think [we're] here to repeat something you've heard for the last 50 years. ...If we quit giving you new revelations, we're dead"
Benny's Had A Revelation On Catholic Communion - God really gave me a revelation that night, that when we partake communion, it's not just communion. We are partaking Christ Jesus himself. He did not say, 'Take, eat, this represents my body.' He said, 'This is my body, broken for you...' When you partake communion, you're partaking Christ, and that heals your body. When you partake Jesus, how can you stay weak? ...sick? ...And so tonight, as we partake communion, we're not partaking bread. We're partaking what He said we would be partaking of: 'This is my body'"(Praise the Lord, TBN, Dec 27 '94)
Only The Immature Question Benny - "So don't question this teaching. Only the immature question it" (Our position in Christ)
Benny Calls Dissenters Morons - "Those that put us down are a bunch of morons" (Praise-a-Thon, TBN, November 1990);
Benny Would Like To Blow Our Heads Off - "Somebody's attacking me because of something I'm teaching. Let me tell you something, brother: You watch it! ...You know, I've looked for one verse in the Bible; I just can't seem to find it. Once verse that said, 'If you don't like them, kill them.' I really wish I could find it! ...You stink frankly- that's the way I think about it! ...Sometimes I wish God will give me a Holy Ghost machine gun; I'll blow your head off" (Praise-a-Thon, TBN, 8th November 1990);
Benny Thinks He Is God's Anointed - "The Holy Ghost is upon me....The day is coming when those that attack us will drop down dead....Don't touch God's servants; it's deadly....Woe to you that touch God's servants. You're going to pay" (Miracle Invasion Rally, 22nd Nov '91).
"Now I'm pointing my finger with the mighty power of God on me....You hear this: There are men and women in Southern California attacking me. I will tell you under the anointing now, you'll reap it in your children unless you stop.... You are in danger. Repent! Or God Almighty will move His hand. Touch not my Anointed...." (World Charismatic Conference, 7th August 1992.);

The Holy Spirit Longed For Benny's Fellowship - One evening I was lost in the Spirit, having the greatest time in the world talking to Him. The woman of the house called up, 'Benny, supper is ready.' But I was bubbling over and didn't want to leave. She called again, 'Supper is ready.' And as I was about to leave, I felt someone take my hand and say, 'Five more minutes. Just five more minutes.' The Holy Spirit longed for my fellowship." (ibid., p56.)

Now you understand why Benny seldom opens up his Bible on stage. These things are the utterances of a raving lunatic. He doesn't have a clue as to what scripture actually says so he makes things up and claims they are personal revelation!

Summary

Is Benny Hinn one of God's anointed? Does the Holy Spirit supernaturally heal the sick during the Benny show? Did Adam fly like a bird? There is no middle ground here. You must either accept all of these claims or you must reject them all.

"For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." Luke 18:25

Either these men and women have the power to heal people over the TV, with a knock on the forehead, and by blowing on victims, or they are con artists robbing God and sinning against the Holy Spirit.

Don't take my word for it, you decide for yourself. Benny Hinn stands or falls on his own words

Benny Hinn's Hidden Heresies

by David J. Stewart

Benny Hinn is Extremely Deceptive!

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." -Matthew 7:15

Benny Hinn teaches that there are NINE members to the Godhead. Hinn is very deceptive. If you look at Benny Hinn's website, you might be totally convinced that he's a born again Christian. Yet, Hinn's life contradicts his statements. If a famous preacher claimed to believe in freedom and America; but then you find out that he was a member of the Communist Party at the SAME time, what would you think? That man is Martin Luther King Jr. Would you believe his words about freedom? No! Likewise, Benny Hinn presents the Gospel on his website; but, then praises the Pope, recognizes Our Lady of Fatima (Mary) as legitimate, partakes of transubstantiation (Catholic holy communion), and promotes Catholicism--The biggest cult on earth! And by the way, Hinn never actually states in his online Gospel presentation that a person doesn't have to do works to be saved. And also, every Catholic believes the simple Gospel, i.e., that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again for our justification. The church of Galatia in the Bible fell victim to the same type of heresy. They had heard the simple Gospel; but, now were being led to follow a works salvation by a false religion, "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel" (Galatians 1:6). Benny Hinn fools multitudes of people by presenting the Biblical Gospel on his website; BUT, then promoting the damnable heresies and idols of Catholicism. To promote Fatima (see below) is to promote the Catholic Virgin Mary.

There are many hidden heresies which Hinn's website doesn't mention. There is a great evil in the religious world today, and it is very subtle. The evil is that of preaching a TROJAN HORSE Gospel. After ten years of trying to conquer the people of Troy, the Greeks devised a sneaky plan. They left a giant horse, as a gift, outside the city gates of Troy, then retreated. When the people of Troy saw the Greek armies leaving, they opened the door and brought the gift horse into the city. That night, Greek soldiers, who were hidden inside the horse, overtook the people of Troy. Troy was conquered! Hence the term, "Never look a gift horse in the mouth." That horse wasn't what it seemed. What APPEARED to be a gift, was actually a trap. Likewise, Benny Hinn's doctrines are a trap. He is preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, while simultaneously practicing and praising Catholicism (as you will see). The net result is apostasy.

Benny Hinn Says Pope John Paul II Pointed Millions to Jesus!

Listen to what Hinn said concerning Pope John Paul II after his death, “Pope John Paul II pointed millions to Jesus Christ when he was Pope. And I believe we're in for the greatest move of the Spirit of God on this planet." -BENNY HINN (Benny Hinn: The Impact of the Pope's Death, By Chris Mitchell, Middle East Bureau Chief, CBN.com). What? The Pope pointing people to Jesus? Hinn is a false prophet! Pope John Paul II pointed billions of people to MARY!!! Pope John Paul II pointed people to himself, to the Catholic priests, to the Seven sacraments, to religion, to Mary; BUT, not to Jesus Christ. You cannot point people to Jesus Christ while simultaneously teaching the traditions of men. John 4:24 plainly teaches that God must be worshipped in TRUTH, not the traditions of men. What a deception!!! This is why Christ said in Mark 7:7...

"Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men."

Benny Hinn Professes to be Catholic!

Hinn proudly stated, "My upbringing, of course, was Catholic in that I attended the Catholic school in Jaffa, Israel. And so my mentality basically is a Catholic mentality. When I was born again, I was Catholic in my ways. I was very Catholic in my ideas, in my behavior." (Christianity Today, Sept. 3, 1991.)

Benny Hinn Promotes Our Lady of Fatima

"Hinn appeared on the April 23 installment of Larry King Live. King challenged him as to why he doesn’t go from “bed to bed” in hospitals with his healing power. Hinn indicated that he does visit hospitals and when he prayed for people, there were some who were healed but others who were not. He then offered King this explanation as to his mixed results: “But, you see, the gift does not work when you want it to work. The anointing must be there.”

The driving force of his ministry then came to light as he told King: “In a crusade — in a meeting when I am ministering, the anointing of God comes on me and that’s when things happen.” Yet all of this begs the question: Why would the Holy Spirit limit Himself to work in power in only emotionally charged meetings? Hinn would have us believe that the anointing comes and goes but mostly comes in arenas and convention centers. Hinn’s concept takes issue with Scripture as 1 John 2:27 states: “The anointing which you have received from Him abides in you.”

Hinn then endorsed the reputed divine healing power of the Marian shrines at Lourdes and Fatima. He told King and the viewing audience: “Look, God has given us, Larry, many sources of healing. Look at Lourdes. People have been healed going to Lourdes and Fatima. There was a pool, even in the Bible, the pool of Bethesda, where the angels stirred the water — people were also healed. So God has given us many avenues of healing. He wants us to be healed.”

It is disturbing to see Hinn put these two extrabiblical shrines in the same category as a biblical event. It must also be noted that in the incident in John 5, the man was healed by Jesus (John 5:12-13) and Bethesda is never mentioned again after this chapter. (It is a dry archaeological ruin today.) Further, no one is ever pointed back to it for help or healing. In Acts 3 the man is not pointed to the pool (which was nearby) but to Christ (Acts 3:6). Whatever temporary mercy God had shown at Bethesda ended with the person of Christ. But the point must be made that there is a universe of distance between what Lourdes and Fatima are promoting and the Jewish pool of John 5. At the Pool of Bethesda, no one was being encouraged to hold to teachings contrary to God’s Word.

The message of both Lourdes and Fatima are messages supposedly from the Virgin Mary promoting veneration and prayers to her." -SOURCE

Failed Prophesies of Benny Hinn

The following information is provided by WIKIPEDIA.com...

"The Spirit tells me Fidel Castro will die in the 90's. Oh my! Some will try to kill him and they will not succeed. But there will come a change in his physical health, and he will not stay in power, and Cuba will be visited of God."
Orlando Christian Center, Dec. 31, 1989. (audio)
""The Lord also tells me to tell you in the mid 90’s, about ’94-’95, no later than that, God will destroy the homosexual community of America. [audience applauds] But He will not destroy it – with what many minds have thought Him to be, He will destroy it with fire. And many will turn and be saved, and many will rebel and be destroyed."
Orlando Christian Center, Dec. 31, 1989. (audio)
"A world dictator is coming on the scene. My! He's a short man. He's a short man. I see a short man who's a perfect incarnation of Satan. [speaks in tongues] Never in my life have I had anything happen like what's happening to me now! 'This man will rule the world. In the next few years you will see him. But not long after that you will see Me.'"
Orlando Christian Center, Dec. 31, 1989
"The Spirit of God tells me an earthquake will hit the East Coast of America and destroy much in the '90s. Not one place will be safe from earthquakes in the '90s. These who have not known earthquakes will know it. People, I feel the Spirit all over me!"
Orlando Christian Center, Dec. 31, 1989
"We may have two years before the rapture. Can I be blunt with you? I don't know if we have two years left. I'm going to prove to you from the Word tonight, that we have less than two years."
November 9, 1990 Praise-a-Thon
"But here's first what I see for TBN. You're going to have people raised from the dead watching this network. You're going to have people raised from the dead watching TBN. Programs -- just plain programs -- programs that haven't done much when it comes to supernatural manifestations -- teaching programs!"
October 19, 1999 Praise The Lord, Trinity Broadcasting Network
"Jesus is coming again within the next two years."
July 1997, fund-raising telethon on TBN
"The hour is urgent. Many of you have known me for many years. But I am telling you right now, things I haven't said years 'n years 'n years ago. I believe - here this, hear this! I believe, that Jesus, God's Son, is about to appear physically, in meetings and to believers around the world, to wake us up! I am prophesying this! Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is about to appear physically in some churches, and some meetings, and to many of His people, for one reason - to tell you He is about to show up!"
April 2nd, 2000, TBN Praise-a-thon
Benny Hinn is bad news and should be avoided by everyone! We read in 2nd Peter 2:1-3...

"But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not."

Benny Hinn is a false prophet who is EXPLOITING the Gospel to promote ecumenicalism, i.e., unity between Catholics and Christians. There is NO unity between a truly born again believer and the Great ***** of Roman Catholicism (2nd Corinthians 6:14-17). Hinn is effectively confusing the multitudes because so many people are woefully ignorant of the Word of God. I plead with you as a loving friend, and as a faithful Christian, to run away from Benny Hinn as fast as you can.

Shocking facts about Benny Hinn!

by Deception in the Church

“Pope John Paul II pointed millions to Jesus Christ when he was Pope. And I believe we're in for the greatest move of the Spirit of God on this planet." -BENNY HINN (Benny Hinn: The Impact of the Pope's Death, By Chris Mitchell, Middle East Bureau Chief, CBN.com).

Benny Hinn is a Roman Catholic mystic, who is taking the Pentecostal and Charismatic Church down the ecumenical road towards Rome. This has been known for some time. For example the Italian Assemblies of God refused to endorse his crusade in Rome (1996), sponsored by the independent Pentecostals, who themselves were shocked when Mr. Hinn failed to once open his Bible on the first night of the Crusade. On the second night the interpreter refused to interpret Hinn's favourable comments about the Pope and the Catholic Church and the music group refused to sing. The up-shot was that the organisers signed a document of "non-association" with Benny Hinn, and promised never to invite him to Italy again. Despite this he was invited as guest speaker to the Australian Assemblies of God Conference in May 1997, where once more he spoke favourably of the Pope and the Roman Catholic Church. At that Conference he told how he had met with Cardinal Sin of the Philippines, with whom he formed an agreement to encourage people who attended his crusade not to leave the Roman Catholic Church. The Cardinal in turn promised to encourage Roman Catholics to attend the Hinn Crusade. (Things have become worse since then! We have documented evidence that Hinn is into necromancy - please see below.)

The most disturbing feature was that no one at the Australian Assemblies of God Conference raised public objection to Hinn's comments. Now Benny Hinn has been invited to conduct a Healing Crusade in Auckland on June 13, 1998. Those endorsing the Crusade include Wayne Hughes, Senior Pastor of the Takapuna Assembly of God, Ian Bilby, Senior Pastor of the Auckland City Elim Church, Paul de Jong, Senior Pastor of the Christian Life Centre, Auckland, Hamish Divett, Senior Minister of the Christian City Church, Auckland and Peter Mortlock, Senior Pastor of the Bays Christian Fellowship, New Life Churches of New Zealand. (Letter dated 4th March, 1998 issued by the New Zealand branch of the Benny Hinn Ministries (PO Box 24377, Royal Oak, Auckland - phone 09 521 0133; fax 09 528 7185; mobile 025 285 1311 - coordinator Averil E Quertier).)

Wayne Hughes is the General Superintendent of Assemblies of God in New Zealand and was one of the Church leaders who, together with Ian Bilby, former President of the New Zealand Elim denomination, endorsed the visit of Rodney Howard-Browne whose "laughing revival" has caused so much division among Churches and Christian families in New Zealand and Australia. The New Zealand Apostolic Superintendent also endorsed Rodney Howard-Browne, BUT is not listed as endorsing Benny Hinn.

CWM alerted Wayne Hughes to the fact of Benny Hinn's documented necromancy in late January or early February '98. Despite this he has continued to endorse Hinn and his ministry, although it is rumoured that he is concerned that he might be doing the wrong thing. For the record we have published a copy of the relevant email. Our strong recommendation to all Christians is that you do not participate in any supportive way - by means of donations or otherwise - in the Benny Hinn Crusade or to the Benny Hinn Ministries.

John the apostle of our Lord Jesus Christ wrote: - "Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him (bid him God speed - AV) for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds (biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds - AV)" - 2 John 9-11. This is THE WORD OF THE LORD.

Evidence that Benny Hinn practices necromancy...

Further documented proof is supplied in the book - "THE CONFUSING WORLD OF BENNY HINN" obtainable from your nearest CWM Office at $25 each including post. (This book has been enlarged to include a chapter on Hinn's necromancy. Authors include a USA, AOG pastor. Increased price mainly due to the need to get more books from USA by air mail. We also recommend the two videos: "THE SIGNS & WONDERS MOVEMENT EXPOSED" - Part 1 - MIRACLES and Part 2 - MONEY - at $30 each including post.)

The following was supplied by Michael Oppenheimer, Let Us Reason Ministries, HAWAII on Philip Powell's request following a report that Benny Hinn had caused a great deal of trouble in the islands following his Honolulu Crusade in March, 1998.

Taken from a Benny Hinn programme - "THIS IS YOUR DAY" - June 11, 1997 - also repeated at a recent Benny Hinn PARTNER CONFERENCE in Atlanta.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I'm going to tell you something right now. The Lord showed me a vision about - goodness it's almost been a year now. And - (I) can tell you I sense now the time has come when this vision is gonna be fulfilled. I had a vision of the night. What I saw, myself walk into a room. I've shared this before but just in case you - you've not heard it I want you to hear it. I saw myself walk into a room and there stood Kathryn Khulman.

And I've not seen Kathryn in a dream or a vision [in] years. Uh, when she died, the day she died, the morning she died, I had a dream what I - what I saw in a - in a - in a - in a casket with a white dress. And when I woke up in - in the morning, I knew she had died and it was on the news that same morning. And so it's been many years.

And there she was standing in this room and she said to me-of course this was a dream, but really more of a vision. A lot of times! dreams are really visions of the night, and the Bible calls them that. When - when God gives to you in the fashion it really came with me.

When I was a little boy, I saw the Lord in this dream. It was really so real, it was really a vision because when - when He appeared to me my body became electric just like electricity went through me and when I awoke that electricity was still on my body." (Benny Hinn, This Is Your Day, June 11, 1997)

"Well, anyway, in this one, in this vision that-that I saw-saw Miss Khulman. And she said, 'Follow me.' That's all she said. And I followed her to a second room. In that second room stood the Lord. When the Lord, uh-when-when I saw the lord, Kathryn disappeared. She was just gone [Hinn snaps fingers]. And now the Lord looked at me and said, 'Follow me.' And I followed him to a third room. In the third room sat a gentleman - I still remember his face. I can tell you, I still remember the man's face. And the man sat in this wheelchair in that third room. There was a big hole in his neck. A tube down his throat. He was crippled on that wheelchair. And he had tubes down his body. Totally crippled, totally para-totally, of course, paralyzed. The Lord laid His hands on this man and as He did the tubes disappeared, the hole closed, he was completely healed and got up off the wheelchair. It was a creative miracle. Now I'm standing watching the Lord in this vision heal this man. And now as the man wasealed, the Lord looked at me with piercing eyes - I'll not forget that one I'll tell you. (He) looked at me with piercing eyes and said, 'DO IT!' And the [Hinn snaps fingers] - and the dream and the vision came to an end." (Benny Hinn, This Is Your Day, June 11, 1997)

Interpretation of the "vision":

"When I woke, when I got up, when I came out of the vision, I was trembling and perspiring from head to toes. I know exactly what that vision means. It was Kathryn Khulman who took me, who introduced me to the Holy Spirit. That is the meaning of that first room when she said, 'Follow me.' But when Kathryn was gone, Jesus was there. Kathryn did her job and was gone and the Lord said, 'Follow me' into a third room. And there was this man. I believe I'm about to enter that third room. [Audience applause.] I'm telling you I feel it. I sense it. I believe that room speaks of a dimension, a new dimension in the Spirit. I believe I've been in that second room now for the last seven years. What is amazing to me, what's amazing to me is God works or has worked in my life in seven year cycles. I'm now in the seventh year - beginning the eighth of the ministry of these crusades. 1990 we started - March. This is what? '97. And just now I feel another platform, another dimension, another level is really coming. ell, saints you're going to be a part of it. God- God has sent you as partners to be a part of it. So how many are ready to see greater things for the glory of God?" (Benny Hinn, This Is Your Day, June 11, 1997)

"Can I tell you something? I've never shared this. Never! I was in prayer one day and a man appeared in front of me. Happened for two days in a row, twice one day and the next day. The same man appeared. I've never told this, never. ... This is recently. I'm not talking about a long time ago. He was about six feet two. Old man. Had a beard. ... Glistening white beard. His face was somewhat thin, but very bold! Eyes - crystal blue. He had on a white garment, whiter than my shirt could ever get. On his head was a shawl, like a - like a covering. He looked like a priest. Every part of him glistened like crystal. And I spoke out and I said, 'Lord, who is this man I see?'

I know you may - you may think I lost my mind, but the lord said, 'ELIJAH the prophet" ...Seven and half years ago, just before the ministry started, before these crusades began, suddenly in front of me I saw a group of people. I couldn't even tell you who they were. I recognized only one of them. It was Miss Khulman. And every one of them seemed to be urging me to pray. Now I know this sounds crazy, but it's all right. I don't mind if you call me crazy, because I liked what I saw. And this - this group was saying, now I couldn't hear them. I'd been in prayer at least, uh, hours. And suddenly, just - just this flash came in front of me. I can not describe it to you except to tell you it was more real than you sitting right in front of me right here. It was not a mental thing. It was so alive, pastor. It's so alive. It was like a flash of lightening hit me and all I saw was these people's faces. I will tell you, when I get to heaven. I will recognize them (at least fifty to seventy of them were sittingn a group), and they were saying to me, "Pray! Ask God to give you a healing ministry that will touch the world!" And suddenly, I heard Kathryn's voice, [Hinn snaps fingers] and out of the blue, suddenly there - there she was, it's crystal clear. And she in her beautiful smile, the way she said, "Ask! We're waiting for you to ask! We're praying with you to ask " And the vision disappeared. And suddenly I said, "Lord!" and I asked. A week later the anointing hit my life. I believe the saints in heaven urge us to pray. Urge us to do it! Do you know why I believe it?

'Cause it's in the Bible! You say, "Show it to me." Jesus saw Moses and Elijah who came to talk to Him about His passion on the cross! Ladies and gentlemen, there's way more than you know about God! And the reason I'm telling you all this? The Lord said to me only a few days ago, He said, "You're - you're about to come into a new level. Get ready!" And I'm already feeling the rumblings in the heavenlies. Somebody is about to talk to me again. Something is about to happen again. I don't know what it is. But I - I'm so excited, I feel butterflies in my tummy. I feel something. I've had three prophets lately, absolute people that know the voice of God, that have said to me, "You're about to walk into a new inheritance in the Spirit." I don't know what it is, when it is, but it's coming. And tonight, the Lord is putting upon my heart to pray for you, that you should walk into a new inheritance in the Holy Ghost. Stand up, I want to pray for you. Come on. Hallelujah! ...

You're about to have experiences that people may call you crazy if you tell them. But lift your hands and ask that God give you revelations. Come on. Blessed Jesus, I give you praise. I give you praise. And I ask you to bring those people into a new inheritance in the Spirit. We've lived so long on this side of the fence. We're so accustomed to this world of ours and we're so tired of it and its pain. Oh, Lord, take us beyond the veil. Take us into a new inheritance. Trust us to keep it sacred. Trust us to be faithful in the blessed name. Ask Him to give that to you. Ask Him to give that to you. (Recording and original transcript by: Michael Oppenheimer, Let Us Reason Ministries, Honolulu Crusade, February 28, 1997

"One of the strangest experiences I had a few years ago [was] visiting Aimee's tomb in California. This Thursday I'm on TBN. Friday I am gonna go and visit Kathryn Khulman's tomb. It's close by Aimee's in Forest Lawn Cemetery. I've been there once already and every so often I like to go and pay my respects 'cause this great woman of God has touched my life. And that grave, uh, where she's buried is closed, they built walls around it. You can't get in without a key and I'm one of the very few people who can get in. But I'll never forget when I saw Aimee's tomb. It's incredibly dramatic. She was such a lady that her tomb has seven-foot angels bowing on each side of her tomb with a gold chain around it. As-as incredible as it is that someone would die with angels bowing on each side of her grave, I felt a terrific anointing when I was there. I actually, I - I, hear this,' I trembled when I visited Aimee's tomb. I was shaking all over. God's power came all over me. ... I believe the anointing has linged over Aimee's body. I know this may be shocking to you.

... And I'm going to take David (Psalmquist) and Kent (Mattox and Sheryl Psalmquist) this week. They're gonna come with me. You-you-you gonna feel the anointing at Aimee's tomb. It's incredible. And Kathryn's. It's amazing. I've heard of people healed when they visited that tomb. They were totally healed by God's power. You say, 'What a crazy thing.' Brother, there's things we'll never understand. Are you all hearing me?"

FALSE PROPHET WARNING!

Joel Osteen is a false prophet, teaching that Mormons are Christians. The Bible exposes Mr. Osteen as a wolf in sheep's clothing. I do not condemn anyone for their sins, for we are all sinners deserving of Hell; however, as Christians we are commanded to contend for the Christian faith.

Joel Osteen's church in Houston, Texas, boasts of 70,000 visitors per week. Millions of people worldwide are being influenced by Joel Osteen. For Mr. Osteen to claim that Mormonism is a Christian religion is a blatant denial of the Christian faith.
Mormonism is a false religion which denies the deity of Jesus Christ, teaches Works Salvation and Baptismal Regeneration, teaches that Jesus came from a planet named Kolob, and teaches that men can become gods. This is what New Age teaches.

These are unbiblical teachings. Joel Osteen, Rick Warren, are other sinister ministers today are all pawns for the New World Order. Their goal is to unify the world's religions into a One World ambiguous religion, to condition the masses of this world to receive the coming Antichrist.

In sharp contrast, the Bible proclaims that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to Heaven.
2nd Corinthians 11:4, “For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.”

Mormonism has ANOTHER Jesus, and not the same Jesus taught in the Word of God. Mormonism has ANOTHER Gospel, and not the same Gospel taught in the Word of God. Joel Osteen is a Word Faith preacher, an alleged evangelical pastor, who recognizes Mormons as Christians.

On December 23rd, 2008 on FOX News Sunday With Chris Wallace, Joel Osteen endorsed the Mormon religion...

Wallace asks Joel Osteen:

WALLACE: And what about Mitt Romney? And I’ve got to ask you the question, because it is a question whether it should be or not in this campaign, is a Mormon a true Christian?

OSTEEN: Well, in my mind they are. Mitt Romney has said that he believes in Christ as his savior, and that's what I believe, so, you know, I'm not the one to judge the little details of it. So I believe they are.

And so, you know, Mitt Romney seems like a man of character and integrity to me, and I don't think he would — anything would stop me from voting for him if that's what I felt like.

WALLACE: So, for instance, when people start talking about Joseph Smith, the founder of the church, and the golden tablets in upstate New York, and God assumes the shape of a man, do you not get hung up in those theological issues?

OSTEEN: I probably don’t get hung up in them because I haven’t really studied them or thought about them. And you know, I just try to let God be the judge of that. I mean, I don’t know.

I certainly can’t say that I agree with everything that I’ve heard about it, but from what I’ve heard from Mitt, when he says that Christ is his savior, to me that’s a common bond. (Online source)

For more on the Mormon view of Jesus we refer you to Mormon Church: Deity of Christ. But as you can clearly see above, Joel Osteen has said Mitt Romney, as well as other Mormons, are “true Christians.” That is untrue! Mormons are children of the Devil and still hellbound in their sins. Joseph Smith was a 33rd degree occult Freemason and founded the Mormon religion in 1830, as part of the New World Order deception. Likewise, Charles Taze Russell founded the Jehovah's Witness religion in 1874 and was also a 33rd degree occult Freemason. See, Religions: The Occult Connection.

JOEL OSTEEN BLESSES THE MORMON CHURCH
By Ken Silva pastor-teacher on Sep 3, 2008 in Joel Osteen, Mormonism

In the Apprising Ministries article Joel Osteen: Apprising His Word Faith Teachings I have clearly showed those who are looking for the truth that Osteen teaches the exact same positive confession Word Faith theology and prosperity gospel as did his late father John, Kenneth “Dad” Hagin (1917-2003), and which is also currently being preached by Hagin’s dutiful disciple Kenneth Copeland and Oneness Pentecostal T.D. Jakes for that matter.
The unique twist that Joel Osteen has added to the mix is the syrupy sweet self-help shtick of Robert Schuller cleverly mixed together for his most popular brand of “Cotton-Candy Christianity.” I am not judging his motivations, or his heart, so I can only say that Osteen’s found the way to preach that his god wants you to have: “Heaven while you’re on earth, and then when you die, you get…ah—well, even more Heaven.”

Sadly another sign of the growing spiritual blindness and apostasy in the American Christian Church right now that someone like Joel Osteen is steadily gaining much acceptance even among mainstream evangelicalism. And this comes despite a theology completely consistent with other mainstays on the Trinity Broadcasting Network such as Benny Hinn, Rod Parsley and “pastor” Paula White.

But the news gets even worse for Joel Osteen because running on a parallel track the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormon Church) is also beginning to make inroads toward being considered a legitimate form of Christianity. As case in point we offer Mormons and Evangelicals Ready to Worship Together? But what does this even have to do with Joel Osteen? Well, I’m so glad you asked.

Osteen heads up arguably the largest evangelical church in the country. And there he was on Fox News Sunday a while back saying that in his mind Mormons are genuine Christians just as I originally pointed out in Joel Osteen: Mitt Romney And Mormons Are Christians. But the saddest news of all may be that now Joel Osteen has pronounced blessing on the non-Christian cult of the Mormon Church as being Christian; and to this day there has been no outrage, and no evangelical leaders publicly calling Osteen to account.

No instead, it’s just business as usual in the apostatizing American Christian Church saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace (Jeremiah 6:14, KJV).

Mormonism is a demented, sicko, heathen, occult-based, New World Order, demonic religion. Mormonism is rooted in the demonic Jewish Kabbalah, which originated from ancient Babylon when the Jews were in captivity for 70 years. Even Wiccan witches base their beliefs in Kabbalah...

"Kabbalism is a system of Jewish mysticism and magic and is the foundational element in modern witchcraft. Virtually all of the great witches and sorcerers of this century were Kabbalists." -William J. Schnoebelen, The Dark Side of Freemasonry

Truth is stranger than fiction.

Kabbalah is of the Devil and so is Mormonism. Joel Osteen is a fake, a wolf in sheep's clothing, a false prophet and an enemy of the cross of Jesus Christ. 2nd Timothy 4:3, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.” We are living in the Last Days, when people will NOT tolerate Biblically sound preaching. Joel Osteen preaches psychology and a wishy-washy type of motivational speaking that is anything but sound doctrine. America is dying for hell, fire and damnation preaching. The great need of our time is preaching preachers who SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES (John 5:39).

The damnable Mormon religion began with Joseph Smith, period. Smith is burning in Hell this moment, which is exactly where his followers are going when they die. I say this kindly, for my only concern is the salvation of souls. The Bible plainly warns about those who come preaching “another Gospel.” Mormonism teaches a false Gospel.

Just as with most false religions, Mormonism superficially promotes family closeness and helping the community; but when you shine the Light of God's Word upon their core beliefs, a bizarre system of sexual perversion, strange doctrines and occult worship are uncovered.

One need only view their main temple in Salt Lake City, Utah, to find the All-Seeing Eye of Horus above the door on the temple.

Billy Graham Exposed: One-World Aspirations
From the Research of Fritz Springmeyer

Some of the areas that Billy Graham deviates from Scripture are as follows:

He is on public record supporting homosexuality, abortion, his disbelief in a literal hell [which is where we are now -100777.com], his support and practice of infant baptism to save children, his support for the Catholic church's worship of Mary (yet he calls himself a Protestant). He has repeatedly praised infidels and apostates as great Christians. He actively supported the American government policy to fight the Vietnam War. He would not challenge the idea that the Bible is mythology, when directly questioned. The deception doesn't stop with the Protestants, Catholic supporters have been kept in the dark about his abortion views. The deception goes way beyond Protestant, Catholic beliefs.

The fact that he is a priest shows that he does not work for God. Please study the following links thoroughly.

Matthew 6:5-8 And when thou prayest, thou shalt NOT be as the hypocrites [ARE]: for they love to pray standing in the churches and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and WHEN THOU HAST SHUT THY DOOR, pray to thy Father in private (Enoch 56:5; Sura 7:55); and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
But when ye pray, use NOT vain repetitions, as the heathen [DO]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Be NOT ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, BEFORE ye ask Him.

Matthew 23:8 But be NOT ye called rabbi; priest; imam (etc.): for ONE is your Teacher, [even] Christ; and all ye are brethren.

As a programmed multiple who participates in Satanic Ritual, Billy Graham has deceived everyone. The second area is concerns about his support for a One-World Church and a One-World-Government. This stems from:

Billy Graham 's public endorsements of the World Council of Churches and the National Council of Churches,
Billy Graham's consistent attendance at the World Council of Churches' meetings,
that Billy Graham has done more than anyone in the world to bring about the One-World-Harlot church, and he has done more than anyone to unite all the Christian groups into one organization,
Billy Graham's support of the Pope and the Catholic church which is the largest Christian religion and one of the pillars of the New Age One-World religious body being set up.
The support that the NCC and WCC gives him,
The support that the internationalists and globalists give Billy Graham. Billy Graham was first asked to do his Portland Crusade in 1993 by the WCC/NCC representative in this area who is a homosexual, a new ager, and leader of the ecumenical movement...

Please also consider registering (free) as a FriendOfLiberty at our Front Page, and taking the current Poll: Should the Council on Foreign Relations be Investigated for Treason?]

*** A third area is concern over the lack of depth that conversions at Billy Graham's crusades have, Some of the details on this are:

l. Only 2% of the people coming forward at a Crusade have never been Christians and are actually giving their life to Christ for the first time, and of these 80% fall away,

2. A great majority of people that come forward are sent to Catholic and extremely liberal Churches, extremely few are sent to solid Bible believing churches., In the Catholic Standard and Times, Thursday, July 16, 1992, p. 10, this Catholic paper reported that 1,900 Catholics responded to Billy Graham's call to make decisions for Christ in the Philadelphia Crusade and were referred to about 250 parishes.

3. People that come forward are sent even to Jewish synagogues and New Age churches.,

4. Converts are given the impression that Christ wants decisions for him, rather than that Christ wants disciples.

5. The people attending the crusades are almost all Christians, due to the high numbers of Christian counselors and the high number of church people which are always intentionally bussed in, (Frady exposes this, and in 1992 a writer of the Williamette Week did a major story for the magazine detailing how she had searched the entire week at the Billy Graham Crusade for an unsaved person and failed to find a single non-Christian. There were a few, but so few she didn't find any. Williamette Week, Oct. 1,1992.)

6. Most decisions at the crusades are for trivial things such as to stop smoking. Interestingly, Christians with discernment spoke about how hurting the churches were after the Billy Graham Crusade here in Portland. They had been made wild promises of success, they were fleeced of their money, and then given a lukewarm spiritual boost. Their comments reminded me of this warning to Billy Graham clear back in the 1950s as to how he was ruining the harvest field. Part of Satan's Planetary control is through religious leaders.

Christians have been conditioned to believe that Billy Graham is a great prophet of God by the establishment media, who have told us for years that Billy Graham was the most respected man in America, The percentages that the controlled Media have reported for Billy Graham's popularity may have been inflated.

Billy Graham is a 33rd degree Mason

This is an important issue, however, even if Billy Graham were not a 33° Mason, there are many things that he is doing that should warn Christians not to support him. There have been a number of people in casual conversation who have mentioned Billy Graham being a 33° Mason, for instance a CIA leader, a NSA person who is against the NWO, and various Masons. These accidental revelations are what can be considered casual evidence, in that it is accidentally heard.

Some of the people who have read Fritz Springmeyer's Be Wise As Serpents book have been experiencing validation of what was written on Billy Graham by their own casual contacts with people. These types of encounters are very meaningful to the people who experience them, but their significance is hard to communicate to others. Hopefully, readers of this, who are truth seekers, will have their own casual-evidence-validation experience. One piece of casual evidence came from a Shriner Clown. It turns out the only clowns who were chosen to perform for the Billy Graham 1993 Portland Crusade were Shriner Clowns. There were non-Masonic clowns available, even some Christian clowns, but the masons were the only ones Graham allowed to perform for him.

Various people, who have worked in the system for the Illuminati, such as an ex-witch who is now a Christian, an ex-33° Mason now a Christian, and a CFR's person also now a Christian, all testify that Billy Graham is a 33° Freemason. A woman and a man who are ex-Satanists and now Christians also have mentioned about Billy Graham's Masonic membership.

(One has to understand that there is a close working relationship between the Lodge and the Illuminati.)

To progress up the ranks in Satanism, they will require you to go through Freemasonry. Freemasonry then teaches people about the symbology of the mystery religions. The lodges bring in female Monarch slaves for some of their Egyptian sexual-magic rituals. If the reader were to get up in the morning and your mother, sister, and brother were in the kitchen and said that your mother had just drank a cup of coffee, you would be able to tell from their faces if they were telling the truth, and you would know that your mother had drank a cup of coffee. This is the way it is for us.

We know these witnesses know the truth, and we know they are not making it up. But if people don't believe that, then they need to go scrounge up their own witnesses, and risk their own hide in doing the contacting. The material we presented here is not frivolous work. As pearls of value, we hope that this research is not taken and allowed to become pearls given to swine. Because Billy Graham is such a key person for the Illuminati and the Satanic plan to bring in the Anti-Christ and the One-World-Religion, key parts of Graham's life have been intentionally shrouded, When he joined the Masonic lodge c. 1948, they intentionally kept his membership more secret than others. Why?

They are secret about their membership in general, but even more so if the person is a key Illuminatus and a big key to their religious control, This is why they have kept the membership of Charles T. Russell, founder of the Watchtower Society quiet. This is why they keep the memberships of the Mormon prophets secret, It has been a consistent pattern by the Masonic Lodge to keep these key people's membership very quiet. It would be much easier if we had a membership certificate, but for people who don't want to believe no amount of evidence would suffice.

In terms of a paper trail we have the following: Billy Graham's books consistently refer to basically only Masons. Billy Graham endorsed the Masonic DeMolay program for youth as God's work. This endorsement by Billy Graham is in a Masonic book that is used to educate people about "the craft" (that means Freemasonry). That book is The Clergy and the Craft and it says that the people who are quoted in it are Masons. (See Haggard, Forrest D. Transactions Missouri Lodge of Research, Vol. No. 27, The Clergy and the Craft, p. 127. where Graham endorses the Masonic youth program.

In terms of witnesses who have put what they have witnessed in writing we have the following: Jim Shaw, ex-33° Mason -- the highest ranking Freemason to defect to Christianity, writes about Billy Graham being at his 33° initiation ceremony. Huntington House refused to print his book co-authored with Tom McKenney unless they took out Billy Graham's name on pg. 104, and substituted a general description. (See The Deadly Deception, p. 104-105.) Only Freemasons are allowed to attend these initiations. (See The New Age, the official organ of The Supreme Council 33°. Wash., D.C., October 1961, p. 30.) Some Christians have tried every thing in their mind to get around Jim Shaw's testimony. And the Masonic Lodge are now claiming that he wasn't a 33° Freemason. There is no doubt that he was a 33° Mason.

IN DECEMBER 2001 BILLY GRAHAM WAS KNIGHTED BY QUEEN ELIZABETH

That should speak volumes to anyone who has understanding of the Illuminati pyramid power structure and the most powerful Merovingian blood line of the Royal Family.

What we are seeing is how important it is to the Illuminati to keep Billy Graham's membership secret. Originally, Dr. Morey who wrote a book on Freemasonry told me over the phone that Billy Graham was a 33° Freemason and that he had held his membership file in his hand in the library of the House of the Temple, which is where the Supreme Council of the 33° has their headquarters. However, now he denies it and says that he only was told by the librarians that the file existed, but that he didn't examine the membership file. He wrote a letter to Christian News to the editor which was printed. At least, his letter to the editor of Christian News says that the Scottish Rite have a Billy Graham file.

William M. Watson--DIRECTOR OF THE BILLY GRAHAM EVANGELISTIC ASSOCIATION, he is a Freemason, and he is also President of Occidental Petroleum Corporation. Chairman of Occidental was Armand Hammer. Watson is also a member of the development council of the Masonic run Baylor University. Baylor University has participated in the mind-control, (See also the expose of Baylor University in Be Wise As Serpents.) He also was a member of the advisory council to the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth which had at least three Freemasons on its board of trustees, and likely more.

David M. McConnell--DIRECTOR OF THE BILLY GRAHAM EVANGELISTIC ASSOCIATION, he is a Freemason, He was also U.S. ambassador to the United Nations (1968-69), business associate with Illuminatus Charles Gambrell, in Belk Stores of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Arthur Lee Malory--CO-CHAIRMAN of the BILLY GRAHAM CRUSADE Advisory Committee for the 1973 St. Louis Crusade -- 32° Freemason, deacon in a Southern Baptist Church.

Who are some of the primary ministers that had worked with 33° Freemason Billy Graham over the years? Billy Graham has helped set up other 33° Masons in ministry. Billy Graham has placed his stamp of approval on almost every well-known apostate Christian out there. When Billy Graham had a crusade in Japan, the Japanese minister that he had up on the platform was a well-known extremely liberal Christian. A conservative Japanese was shocked. Billy Graham is also endorsing many of the books, and ministries of these apostates. Some of the three biggest ministers in the protestant world, Robert Schuller, Norman Vincent Peale, and Oral Roberts are all 33° Masonic brothers of 33° Freemason Billy Graham. (See Roberts, Oral. Miracle of Seed Faith, p.9.) Billy Graham has helped each of these brothers with their ministries. Robert Schuller taught principles of church growth to Unity School in Kansas City. A Christian, who used to be on staff there, said that Robert Schuller was fully aware that Luciferian Initiations were going on at the school and that he didn't care. Robert Schuller, 33° Freemason, was helped into ministry by Billy Graham. Schuller also participates in the Monarch program and is also sexually serviced by Monarch slaves.

Norman Vincent Peale's form of Christianity called positive thinking is actually only white witchcraft with different names. Peale simply is a "Christian" witch. Norman Vincent Peale, 33° Freemason, his church receive the bulk of people who came forward at the NY Crusade. Norman Vincent Peale is a 6° Illuminatus (Pilgrim Society), and a 33° Freemason. In the magazine Psychic Magazine of San Francisco Peale says of occultist Kreskin, All he's doing is dramatizing what I've been preaching in my writing for years. Norman Vincent Peale controls the approx. $200 million Presbyterian Minister's Fund. He celebrated the 25th anniversary of the United Nations. He was the keynote speaker at the birthday of the late Mormon prophet Spencer W. Kimball (a secret Mason).

Peale praised Kimball as a true prophet of God, and a great man of God. Peale practices witchcraft, and palms it off on unsuspecting Christians under different terminology. The false unity movement which is so strong today, wants to unite the devout Christian with the likes of Norman Vincent Peale. Peale is a good friend of Billy Graham, and Billy Graham referred the largest number of new converts of the NY Billy Graham Crusade to Peale's church. Oral Roberts, 33° Freemason, helped into ministry by his Masonic brother Billy Graham. Oral Roberts has been seen by witnesses participating in SRA and Mind- control. Oral Roberts University and the charismatic movement is another important religious front. The Charismatic movement has been infiltrated by multiples since day-one. The history of the infiltration is extensive. Oral Roberts had Cherokee blood, According to some things that Oral Roberts has said, some Christians think that he received his healing powers from an old Indian who healed him through Indian shamanism when Oral was young.

At times, Oral does use the same methods that spirit mediums use to heal with. According to slaves who have been deprogrammed, they were in satanic rituals with Oral Roberts. Christian ministers, who have participated in his ministry are saying that they have seen massive swindle in his healing ministry. His university is being used as a programming center. His basketball team at one time had Monarch slaves playing on it. We do not know if they still do. Under the prayer tower is one of the programming sites. Billy Graham, a handler himself, helped launch Oral Roberts University, and is a friend of Oral Roberts. From the Illuminati's point of view Tulsa is the Guardian City of Apollo. The City of Faith is to be the center for healing from AEsculapius, a demon related to Apollo. While portraying themselves as Christians, infiltrators within the charismatic movement are carrying out satanic rituals to get demonic healing powers. Tulsa is one of, if the main center for the campaign to infiltrate Christianity via the Charismatic/Pentecostal movement with programmed multiples.

G. Bromiey Oxnam, 33 ° Freemason, was head of the FCC churches, supportive friend of Billy Graham, G. Bromley Oxnam has a long history to him of working for the elite, interested readers can pick up his story in Be Wise As Serpents in the chapter that goes into the details about how the Christian churches were organized by the FCC and WCC for the Illuminati.

The NWO is infiltrating the churches via the Earth Stewardship Movement. An attempt was made at Rio de Janeiro to get an Earth Charter but there wasn't enough time, their were lots of N.O.G. delegates and just in general lots of people to coordinate (4,000 attended). Another Earth Summit was promised, but instead they decided at the end of Sept/Oct of '95 to have a State of the World Forum to be held by/sponsored by the Gorbachev Foundation at the Presidio, CA. The ex-head of the KGB, Gorbachev is now headquartered in the Presideo, a major mind-control programming site. Christian basher Ted Turner was the chairman of the conference. The cost was $5,000 per person and the invitations went out to only select people. There were 100 handpicked politicians who received invitations, along with Billy Graham and Mother Teresa. This was coordinated with the 50th anniversary of the UN which was being celebrated all over the world.

FLEECING THE SHEEP

The charismatic movement claims to have the Holy Spirit in a special way, however, some seem to be lacking in all discernment that the Holy Spirit would give. There are several books exposing the big name Charismatic ministers. One is written by an ex-charismatic Assembly of God minister. He shows a picture in his book of an Assembly of God flier promoting the "Testimony of J. Edgar Hoover."

Yes, the Assembly of God promoted the, "testimony" of J. Edgar Hoover, while he was known to be a power hungry individual who practiced homosexuality. It was this type of hype that caused this minister to grow disillusioned with the charismatic movement's so called spirituality. Recently, the spiritual discernment of Billy Graham and many other big time ministries was exposed when these big Christian ministries were conned out of $550 million dollars. Billy Graham introduced John G. Bennett to thousands of people at a recent Billy Graham Crusade in Philadelphia in 1992. John Bennett gave his testimony at the crusade. Because Billy Graham, John Templeton, and Laurance Rockefeller were apparently supportive of John G. Bennett, big time Christian ministries "trusted" him. John told many of the big Christian ministries that if they gave him millions of dollars, for every million he received he would give them two million back. Many of the big Christian ministries gave Bennett money--in fact he collected $550 million (which he ran off with) from ministries such as Pat Robertson's, Bill Bright's, Chuck Colson's, Luis Palau's, Westminster Theological Seminary, Wheaton College, the Salvation Army and many others. The reader may have heard of this New Era Foundation scam. That's what it was.

Bennett told these "Christian" leaders "Give New Era one million dollars and we'll give you back two million." The donations of hard earned money by many innocent Christian believers were lost, However, the Christian believers are partially responsible because the church has refused to clean house of wolves that set in their pulpits. For instance, when Billy Graham came to the Portland area all the various denominations from the most liberal to the most conservative supported him. Only about a dozen churches did not get involved and only one church actively tried to expose Billy Graham--EVEN THOUGH THERE HAS BEEN A MASS OF DOCUMENTATION EXPOSING BILLY GRAHAM AS A WOLF FOR 30 YEARS. When the church refuses to follow God's Word and supports these men-- then they must take some of the blame when these men give their millions of hard earned dollars away to a con artist.

INADEQUATE REACTIONS

When people have been warned about Billy Graham, one of the common responses is for people to call up the Billy Graham crusade staff. If I ask a biologist a question about biology I can expect to get a credible answer, If I ask a mother about her son I can expect to get a credible answer. But how in the world can someone call up the Billy Graham Crusade staff and expect to get a credible answer to the question Is Billy Graham a Mason?

The person that answers the phone is likely a secretary, someone who knows Billy Graham no more than the janitor. What does that person know about the Freemasons? Because the Freemasons are a secret society, in general, there are only two basic categories of people--people involved with Freemasonry, and they certainly know what's going on in it but they have taken blood oaths on penalty of death not to talk about it, and those who aren't involved with Freemasonry and don't know anything about it. There are only a few people who are not masons, who are informed about the Masons. The answer of some secretary over the phone to the question, Is Billy Graham a Freemason? is of little value, because the secretary or other staff member has not had the opportunity to get reliable information. This is from the standpoint of getting a reliable witness, calling some secretary or staff member is simply not a credible response to all the documentation. No court would view a secretary of a large organization as an expert witness qualified to settle such a dispute.

The second catch is that such witnesses are not reasonably unbiased. It is expected that Billy Graham's staff would front for him any questions that could expose him to bad publicity. This last comment is not speculation.

There is proof that Billy Graham's staff has consistently lied over the years to prevent negative publicity about Billy Graham. When Richard Nixon met with his political buddies to decide who to have run with him, the person he asked first in the smoke-filled room was Billy Graham, I have read the account of this is more than one place, but I will quote Marshall Frady's description of when Billy Graham was asked who he thought should run with Nixon as Nixon's vice-presidential running mate. Billy Graham chose 33° Masonic brother (then only 32°) Mark Hatfield. Here is Frady's description. "His assimilation into the Nixon presidency had already been well underway, in fact, at that convention in Miami when, after Nixon's nomination, Graham wound up sitting in Nixon's penthouse suite among the smoggy late-night deliberations over Nixon's vice-presidential selection: Graham himself, whatever initial uncertainty he might have felt to find himself in such a political locker-room session, soon pitched into the proceedings with his own effusive recommendation of Mark Hatfield:

"He's a great Christian leader. He's almost a clergyman. He's been an educator, and he's taken a more liberal stand on most issues than you, and I think the ticket needs that kind of balance." In 1992, Mark Hatfield, along with Prince Hall Freemason Jessie Jackson both were on television in July of last year defending Billy Graham's actions. Mark Hatfield, according to a deprogrammed slave has been a user of Monarch sexual slaves.

NY's Union Seminary is controlled and funded by the Rockefellers. President of Union Seminary was Dr. Henry Van Dusen. Billy Graham made him a prominent person in his crusade and said he was a "classic example" of a mass evangelism conversion, If that is a good example of Graham's conversions, we Christians should shudder. It is no coincidence that the Southern Baptists of which Billy Graham is a member, is controlled by the Freemasons. Brook Hays, Pres, of the So. Bapt. Convention was a high ranking Freemason as well as part of the CFR. None of the So. Bapt. Convention's Presidents have opposed Freemasonry. Pres. Bill Clinton, a slave handler, is a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church which is a Southern Baptist Church in Little Rock, Ark. The late Bill Moyers who promoted the Mystery Religions was a Southern Baptist.

Moyers went to the SW Baptist Theological Seminary, the same school run by one of Billy Graham's staff directors. John Buchanan is another Southern Baptist. John Buchanan went to a So. Bapt. Seminary, and then worked as a front man for People for the American Way started by Jewish Norman Lear, an anti-Christian. People might be shocked to learn of some of the New Age teachings and New Age teachers that have been allowed into the Southern Baptist churches. The Southern Baptist youth program is based on Masonic ideas and is very Masonic in its ritual.

SUMMARY

The reader is thanked for wading through a lot of difficult material. The reader can see why Billy Graham may well be the greatest deception that has ever been successfully pulled off. But as Abraham Lincoln said, "You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time." Ever since the early 1950s, there have been Christians exposing Billy Graham, But the control of the Christian media and the Christian seminaries is far more extensive than most people realize. Be Wise As Serpents diagrams out how the Christian religious denominations are being controlled, and how the Masons and Illuminati-connected administrators and trustees have control of most of the Seminaries. Billy Graham without a doubt works directly for the Satanic hierarchy. But a rational and fair appraisal of what the man is, and what damage he has done to Christianity will probably not be given much of a chance.

Nobody, no matter who they are is going to fool Christ. There will be a real evaluation done on judgment day.

Yes, they are young virgins, of a marriageable age. If you don't think they are bridesmaids, then we can call them the lamp bearers. At any rate, they are not the bride. And in the Greek text, the foolish ones never had any oil to begin with. In Greek, the word describing them is "stupid" (G3474).

I think most of us understand the parable to mean that we don't know when He is coming so we need to be prepared. We can't get prepared at the last minute, and we can't borrow preparedness from others.

But the question of who the lamp bearers are is a difficult question I have never found an answer to. They are not the bride.

bridesmaids are not mentioned in the parable on 10 virgins...5 wise and 5 foolish...

the word used in scripture is " parthenos " meaning....

1) a virgin

a) a marriageable maiden

b) a woman who has never had sexual intercourse with a man

c) one's marriageable daughter

2) a man who has abstained from all uncleanness and whoredom attendant on idolatry, and so has kept his chastity

a) one who has never had intercourse with women

becauseHElives,

I agree that the oil may represent the Holy Spirit in the parable of the ten virgins, although scripture does not say so. But maybe you can explain something else.

The bridegroom returns for his bride, and the ten virgins are bridesmaids. They are not the bride, they are bridesmaids. So, they cannot be the church. Who are they?

your opinion is worth nothing as is mine ....

I supplied scripture to compare with scripture

and who were wise and who were foolish!

Betty please give me scripture not your opinion.

Kenneth Copeland
General Teachings/Activities
- Tongues-speaking charismatic Kenneth Copeland is considered to be the most prosperous and well-known in the "Word-Faith"/"Positive Confession" movement. His television program is carried nationwide on the Trinity Broadcasting Network, and he is the author of numerous charismatic-oriented books and articles. Copeland's daily Believers’ Voice of Victory television broadcast is available to more than 76 million households on nearly 700 stations in the United States. An estimated 82 million households are able to receive the Sunday broadcast over more than 600 stations, and the broadcast can be seen on about 135 International stations. Copeland also publishes the monthly Believer's Voice of Victory magazine, and the bimonthly Shout! The Voice of Victory for Kids magazine.

In his Believer's Voice of Victory magazine, Copeland teaches the following heresies: "God has never used sickness to discipline His children" (9/89); "AIDS is 'absolutely not' God's way of punishing immoral people" (11/87); Jesus didn't claim to be God when He lived on earth (8/88); the New Age/occult techniques of positive imaging and visualization are for God's people today (9/88); God intends for His people to be united, and, "That union won't be based on doctrine" (12/88); healing is for every believer (2/93); and tongues are for the entire Body of Christ (1/93). Copeland also says: "It would have been impossible for Jesus to have been poor!" (9/90, Charisma). (Reported in the 2/15/93, Calvary Contender.)

- As the name "Word-Faith" implies, this movement teaches that faith is a matter of what we say more that whom we trust or what truths we embrace and affirm in our hearts. A favorite term in the Word-Faith movement is "positive confession." It refers to the Word-Faith teaching that words have creative power. What you say, Word-Faith teachers claim, determines everything that happens to you. Your "confessions," that is, the things you say -- especially the favors you demand of God - -must all be stated positively and without wavering. Then God is required to answer (Charismatic Chaos, p. 281). Word-Faith believers view their positive confessions as an incantation by which they can conjure up anything they desire: "Believe it in your heart; say it with your mouth. That is the principle of faith. You can have what you say" (Charismatic Chaos, p. 285).

- Word-Faith is the fastest-growing movement within the professing church. It has involved two distinct but closely related factions: the Peale/Schuller Positive/Possibility thinkers, with their roots in New Thought, and the Hagin/Copeland Positive Confession and Word-Faith groups, which have their roots in E.W. Kenyon, William Branham, and the Manifest Sons of God/Latter Rain Movement. In Kenneth Hagin's book, Having Faith in Your Faith (Copeland confesses that Hagin's tapes and books revolutionized his ministry), Hagin teaches that anyone can develop universal "laws of faith" to get what he wants. Hagin teaches that for a pastor or anyone to drive a Chevrolet instead of a luxury car isn't "being humble, that's being ignorant" of God's "law of prosperity" that works for "whoever you are," saint or sinner. The battle-cry of the Positive Confession (PC) movement is: "Have faith in your faith." This is a far cry from what Jesus taught: "Have faith in God" (Charismatic Chaos, p. 281). (Copeland's book, The Laws of Prosperity, teaches these same concepts.)

This is at the heart of the PC movement today, also known as the "name-it-and-claim-it" gospel. The PC movement is a charismatic form of Christian Science. This can be substantiated by simply comparing the similarities in their common beliefs. PC is basically warmed-over New Thought dressed in evangelical/charismatic language. (Other well-known PC'ers besides the "father" of the movement, Kenneth Hagin, and Copeland, his most successful protégé, are Charles Capps, Frederick K.C. Price, Robert Tilton, and David (Paul) Yonggi Cho. Many of them are graduates of Hagin's Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.)

- Copeland's teaching on healing is a particularly destructive lie -- in the 2/93 issue of Believer's Voice of Victory, Copeland says that every Christian is guaranteed physical healing and financial prosperity. Multitudes of those who have believed the charismatic lies about healing in the Atonement have become confused and disappointed. Many have become bitter against God because God did not do what they were convinced He had promised to do. The problem with Copeland's teachings is that God has not promised health and prosperity to His people in this present world. Nevertheless, Copeland speaks disparagingly of Christians who "are still living in sickness, bondage, and lack." Yet this "sickness, bondage, and lack" is the epitaph of a great many of God's choicest saints.

- Copeland is perhaps the best known proponent of the charismatic's "little gods" teaching (see below). He says Jesus told him:

"Don't be disturbed when people accuse you of thinking you are God ... They crucified Me for claiming I was God. I didn't claim that I was God; I just claimed that I walked with Him and that He was in Me. Hallelujah! That's what you're doing ..." ("Take Time to Pray," Believer's Voice of Victory, 2/87, p. 9).

Copeland thus denies the uniqueness of Christ, saying that Christ was not God, only that He walked closely with God. And as Copeland says, so does he! Copeland, thereby, places himself on the same level as Jesus Christ, willing to blur the distinction between the will of God and the will of Copeland. Copeland seems to think that he and Jesus have about the same authority for the believer, and sounds like New Ager Shirley MacClaine when he says:

"You're all God. You don't have a God living in you; you are one! ... When I read in the Bible where God tells Moses, 'I AM,' I say, 'Yah, I am too!'" ("The Force of Love," Tape BBC-56).

- Copeland teaches that Adam was "created in the god class"; i.e., he was a reproduction of God:

"He was not subordinate to God ... [but] was walking as a god with the authority of a god. ... What he said went. What he did, counted. [And when he] bowed his knee to Satan and put Satan up above him, then there wasn't anything God could do about it, because a god had placed [Satan] there" ("The Force of Love," tape #02-0028).

When Adam committed high treason, according to Copeland, even though "created in the god class," he fell below the god class, but on the cross, Jesus won the right for believers to be born again back into the "god class" (see below). Jesus' deity, according to Copeland, encompasses "healing, deliverance, financial prosperity, mental prosperity, physical prosperity, and family prosperity." And because believers are now back in the "god class," they are guaranteed those blessings here and now (Charismatic Chaos, p. 272).

- Copeland teaches, as do all the Word-Faith teachers, that "Jesus Died Spiritually" (JDS). What makes the Word-Faith teachers' version of JDS, heresy (if not blasphemy), is their teaching that our redemption comes not from Christ's death upon the cross, but from His being tortured by Satan in hell for three days and nights! Copeland has, thus, embraced a heresy known as the "Ransom theory of the atonement." It is the view that Christ's death was a ransom paid to Satan to settle the legal claim the devil had on the human race because of Adam's sin. But that view contradicts the clear Biblical teaching that Christ's death was a sacrifice offered to God, not to Satan (Eph. 5:2) (Charismatic Chaos, p. 278). Copeland, for example, says:

"He allowed the devil to drag Him into the depths of hell as if He were the most wicked sinner who ever lived ... Every demon in hell came down on Him to annihilate Him ... [They] tortured Him beyond anything that anybody has ever conceived ... In a thunder of spiritual force, the voice of God spoke to the death-whipped, broken, punished spirit of Jesus ... [in] the pit of destruction, and charged the spirit of Jesus with resurrection power! Suddenly His twisted, death-wracked spirit began to fill out and come back to life ... He was literally being reborn before the devil's very eyes. He began to flex His spiritual muscles ... Jesus Christ dragged Satan up and down the halls of hell ... Jesus ... was raised up a born-again man ... The day I realized that a born-again man had defeated Satan, hell, and death, I got so excited ... !" ("The Price of it All," Believer’s Voice of Victory, September 1991, p. 4).

It is both fanciful nonsense and heretical to teach that our redemption comes through Satan torturing Jesus in hell. That would make Satan our co-redeemer. If he didn't torture Jesus enough, we wouldn't be saved -- and if he did, do we thank Satan? Incredible! Moreover, Satan isn't even the proprietor of hell. He hasn't even been there yet. Nor will Satan torture the damned but will himself be tortured with "everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels" (Matt. 25:41) when death and hell have been "cast into the lake of fire" (Rev. 20:14).

Before He died, Jesus cried in triumph, "It is finished" (Jn. 19:30), indicating that our redemption has been accomplished on the Cross. Christ told the thief on the cross who believed in Him, "Today shalt thou be with me in paradise" (Lk. 23:43), not in hell! He said, "Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit" (Lk. 23:46). Yet Hagin, Copeland, et al., say He ended up, instead, in the hands of Satan in the depths of hell! What blasphemy! (5/93, Berean Call).

- Word-Faith teachers owe their ancestry to groups like Christian Science, Swedenborgianism, Theosophy, Science of Mind, and New Thought -- not to classical Pentecostalism. It reveals that at their very core, Word-Faith teachings are corrupt. Their undeniable derivation is cultish, not Christian. The sad truth is that the gospel proclaimed by the Word-Faith movement is not the gospel of the New Testament. Word-Faith doctrine is a mongrel system, a blend of mysticism, dualism, and gnosticism that borrows generously from the teachings of the metaphysical cults. The Word-Faith movement may be the most dangerous false system that has grown out of the charismatic movement so far, because so many charismatics are unsure of the finality of Scripture (Charismatic Chaos, p. 290).

Other Quotes Illustrating Kenneth Copeland’s Heretical Teachings

That Adam was God manifest in the flesh.
“God’s reason for creating Adam was His desire to reproduce Himself. I mean a reproduction of Himself, and in the Garden of Eden He did just that. He was not a little like God. He was not almost like God. He was not subordinate to God even. ... Adam is as much like God as you could get, just the same as Jesus. ... Adam, in the Garden of Eden, was God manifested in the flesh.” (Following the Faith of Abraham I, 1989 audiotape, #01-3001, side 1)

God is the greatest failure in the Universe.
“I was shocked when I found out who the biggest failure in the Bible actually is. ... The biggest one is God. ... I mean, He lost His top-ranking, most anointed angel; the first man He ever created; the first woman He ever created; the whole earth and all the Fullness therein; a third of the angels, at least—that’s a big loss, man ... Now, the reason you don’t think of God as a failure is He never said He’s a failure. And you’re not a failure till you say you’re one.” (Praise-a-Thon program on TBN [April 1988] )

God lives on a mother planet
“Heaven has a north and a south and an east and a west. Consequently, it must be a planet.” (Spirit, Soul and Body I, 1985 audiotape #01-0601, side 1)

“You don’t think earth was first, do you? Huh? Well, you don’t think that God made man in His image, and then made earth in some other image? There is not anything under this whole sun that’s new. Are you hearing what I’m saying? This is all a copy. It’s a copy of home. It’s a copy of the Mother Planet. Where God lives, He made a little one just like His and put us on it.” (Following the Faith of Abraham I, 1989 audiotape, #01-3001, side 1)

The death of Jesus on the Cross did not pay the price for sins.
“It wasn’t the physical death on the cross that paid the price for sin ... anybody could do that.” (What Satan Saw on the Day of Pentecost)

“Every prophet that walked the face of the earth under the Abrahamic covenant could have paid the price if it were a physical death only” “When He said ‘It is finished’ on that cross, He was not speaking of the plan of redemption. The plan of redemption had just begun; there were still three days and three nights to be gone through.” “[Jesus] accepted the sin nature of Satan in His own Spirit, and at the moment that He did so, He cried ‘My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?’.” “He [Jesus] was down in that pit and there he suffered the punishment for three horrible days and nights for Adam’s treason ... There is a new birth takes place in the very depths of the earth, when the command of God says ‘That’s enough, loose him and let him go’.” (What Happened from the Cross to the Throne)

Jesus was raped by homosexual Roman soldiers everyway possible.
“Let me tell you something folks. Anybody in here that’s ever been sexually abused, listen to me right now. Listen to me very carefully. The Bible’s very careful about the way it says these things. But down there in that dungeon, Romans, ungodly men, ungodly men, put Him (Jesus) to every kind of abuse that you can think of. There is no sin that Jesus didn’t bare. There is no thing, there is no such thing as a sexual abuse on somebody that Jesus doesn’t know firsthand what it’s all about. He’s been where you are. I don’t care what you’ve been through, Jesus has been through it. And everything’s done to him that we couldn’t even speak of.” (The Resurrection Truth)

God and Adam are the same size.
“God spoke Adam into existence in authority with words. These words struck Adam’s body in the face. His body and God’s were exactly the same size.” (Holy Bible, Kenneth Copeland Reference Edition 1991, p. 45)

God is “a being that is very uncanny the way He’s very much like you and me. A being that stands somewhere around 6’-2”, 6’-3”, that weighs somewhere in the neighborhood of a couple of hundred pounds, little better, [and] has a [hand] span of nine inches across.” (Spirit, Soul and Body I, 1985, audiotape #01-0601, side 1)

“[Adam] was the copy, looked just like [God]. If you stood Adam upside God, they look just exactly alike. If you stood Jesus and Adam side-by-side, they would look and sound exactly alike.” (Authority of the Believer IV, 1987, audiotape #01-0304, side 1)

God has no right to the earth at all; He needs an invitation.
“God had no avenue of lasting faith or moving in the earth. He had to have covenant with somebody. ... He had to be invited in, in other words, or He couldn’t come. God is on the outside looking in. In order to have any say so in the earth, He’s going to have to be in agreement with a man here.” (God’s Covenants With Man II, 1985, audiotape #01-4404, side 1)

The deification of Satan.
Satan is deified as the God this world and is positioned with so much power that he could manage to “turn the light off in God.”

Ownership of the earth is Satan’s.
“God’s on the outside looking in. He doesn’t have any legal entree into the earth. The thing don’t belong to Him. You see how sassy the Devil was in the presence of God in the book of Job? God said, ‘Where have you been?’ Wasn’t any of God’s business. He [Satan] didn’t even have to answer if he didn’t want to ... God didn’t argue with him a bit! You see, this is the position that God’s been in … Might say, ‘Well, if God’s running things He’s doing a lousy job of it.’ He hadn’t been running ’em, except when He’s just got, you know, a little bit of a chance.” (Image of God in You III, 1989, audiotape #01-1403, side 1)

“Here’s where we’re gonna depart from ordinary church: Now, you see, God is injecting His Word into the earth to produce this Jesus—these faith-filled words that framed the image that’s in Him … He can’t just walk onto the earth and say, ‘Let it be!’ because He doesn’t have the right. He had to sneak it in here around the god of this world that was blockin’ every way that he possibly could.” (The Image of God in You III, 1989, audiotape #01-1403, side 2)

“The Bible says that God gave this earth to the sons of men … and when [Adam] turned and gave that dominion to Satan, look where it left God. If left Him on the outside looking in … He had no legal right to do anything about it, did He? … He had injected Himself illegally into the earth—what Satan had intended for Him to do was to fall for it—pull off an illegal act and turn the light off in God, and subordinate God to himself … He intended to get God into such a trap that He couldn’t get out.” (What Happened from the Cross to the Throne, 1990, audiotape #02-0017)

“Adam committed high treason; and at that point, all the dominion and authority God had given to him was handed over to Satan. Suddenly, God was on the outside looking in … After Adam’s fall, God found Himself in a peculiar position …God needed an avenue back into the earth …God laid out His proposition and Abram accepted it. It gave God access to the earth and gave man access to God ... Technically, if God ever broke the Covenant, He would have to destroy Himself.” (Our Covenant with God, 1987, pp. 8-11)

Jesus Christ communicates directly with Copeland.
“Don’t be disturbed when people put you down and speak harshly and roughly of you. They spoke that way of Me, should they not speak that way of you? The more you get to be like Me, the more they’re going to think that way of you. They crucified Me for claiming that I was God. But I didn’t claim I was God; I just claimed I walked with Him and that He was in Me. Hallelujah.” (“Take Time to Pray,” Believer’s Voice of, February 1987, p. 9)

“The Spirit of God spoke to me and He said, ‘Son, realize this. Now follow me in this and don’t let your tradition trip you up.’ He said, ‘Think this way—a twice-born man whipped Satan in his own domain.’ And I threw my Bible down … like that. I said, ‘What?’ He said, ‘A born-again man defeated Satan, the firstborn of many brethren defeated him.’ He said, ‘You are the very image, the very copy of that one.’ I said, ‘Well now you don’t mean, you couldn’t dare mean, that I could have done the same thing?’ He said, ‘Oh yeah, if you’d had the knowledge of the Word of God that He did, you could’ve done the same thing, ‘cause you’re a reborn man too.” (Substitution and Identification, 1989, tape #00-0202, side 2)

Atonement Atrocities.
Copeland says that Jesus became a sign of Satan when He was hanging on the cross: “The righteousness of God was made to be sin. He accepted the sin nature of Satan in His own spirit. And at the moment that He did so, He cried, ‘My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken Me?’ You don’t know what happened at the cross. Why do you think Moses, upon instruction of God, raised the serpent upon that pole instead of a lamb? That used to bug me. I said, ‘Why in the world would you want to put a snake up there—the sign of Satan? Why didn’t you put a lamb on that pole?’ And the Lord said, ‘Because it was a sign of Satan that was hanging on the cross.’ He said, ‘I accepted, in My own spirit, spiritual death; and the light was turned off.’” (What Happened from the Cross to the Throne, 1990, audiotape #02-0017, side 2)

“When Jesus cried, ‘It is finished!’ He was not speaking of the plan of redemption. There were still three days and nights to go through before He went to the throne. … Jesus’ death on the cross was only the beginning of the complete work of redemption.” (“Jesus—Our Lord of Glory,” Believer’s Voice of Victory, April 1982, p. 3)

Jesus’ “rebirth” in hell.
“[I]n hell He [Jesus] suffered for you and for me. The Bible says hell was made for Satan and his angles. It was not made for men. Satan was holding the Son of God there illegally … The trap was set for Satan and Jesus was the bait.” (Walking in the Realm of the Miraculous, 1979, p. 77)

Satan blew it on a technicality, according to Faith theology, because Satan had dragged Jesus into hell illegally. As Copeland puts it, “The Devil forgot to take into consideration that Jesus hadn’t sinned Himself but, rather, had merely become sin as a result of the sin of others.” (What Happened from the Cross to the Throne, 1990, audiotape #02-0017, side 2)

“… [t]hat Word of the living God went down into that pit of destruction and charged the spirit of Jesus with resurrection power! Suddenly His twisted, death-wracked spirit began to fill out and come back to life. He began to look like something the devil had never seen before. He was literally being reborn before the devil’s very eyes. He began to flex His spiritual muscles … Jesus was born again—the first-born from the dead the Word calls Him—and He whipped the devil in his own backyard. He took everything he had away from him. He took his keys and his authority away from him.” (“The Price of it All,” Believer’s Voice of Victory, September 1991, p. 4)

Miscellaneous Quotes

“Any O.T. prophet could have atoned for our sins if they knew what Jesus knew.” (Substitution and Identification)

“Jesus is no longer the only begotten Son of God.” (Now We Are In Christ Jesus, 1980, p. 24)

“Adam was made in the image of God. He was as much female as he was male. He was exactly like God. Then God separated him and removed the female part. Woman means ‘man with the womb.’ Eve had as much authority as Adam did as long as they stayed together.” (Sensitivity of Heart, KCP Publications, 1984, p. 23)

“He [Jesus] is suffering all that there is to suffer. There is no suffering left apart from Him. His emaciated, poured out, little, wormy spirit is down in the bottom of that thing [hell]. And the Devil thinks he’s got Him destroyed.” (Believer’s Voice of Victory program [21 April 1991]. This message was originally delivered at the Full Gospel Motorcycle Rally Association, 1990 Rally at Eagle Mountain Lake, Texas.)

“As a believer, you have a right to make commands in the name of Jesus. Each time you stand on the Word, you are commanding God to a certain extent because it is His Word.” (Our Covenant with God, KCP Publications, 1987, p. 32)

“God was making promises to Jesus, and Jesus wasn’t even there. But, you see, God deals with things that are not yet as though they already were. That’s the way He gets them to come to pass.” (What Happened from the Cross to the Throne, 1990, audiotape #02-0017)

Major False Prophet....Dangeours WOLF In SHEEP's CLOTHING >>>>>>>>>>Charles Stanley

General Teachings/Activities
- Dr. Charles Stanley (born 1933) is the senior pastor (since 1971) of the 13,000-member First Baptist Church of Atlanta (FBCA) (Southern Baptist Convention). Stanley has twice been elected president of the SBC during his 30-year reign at First Baptist. He has degrees from the University of Richmond, Southwestern Theological Seminary, and Luther Rice Seminary. Stanley has authored more than 20 books.

He airs his sermon messages over nationwide radio and television via In Touch Ministries. In Touch was begun in 1974 on radio, went nationwide in 1977, and is now heard in every country in the world on more than 500 stations and in 14 languages, and has an annual budget of more than $40 million (derived primarily from product sales and donations). In the United States, In Touch airs on 478 radio stations; with 261 additional translators and satellites; two radio satellite networks; 143 television stations, with 265 low power stations; eight television satellite networks; and 18 cable access channels (1999 figures -- current numbers not available on In Touch web site). In Touch operates offices in Moscow, England, Brazil, and the Philippines. Stanley also publishes a free monthly magazine titled In Touch (although removal for non-contributors is routine).

- Stanley's wife of over 40 years, Anna J. Stanley, originally filed for divorce on 6/22/93 following their separation in the spring of 1992, but his attorney got her to amend the lawsuit to seek a legal separation instead ("separate maintenance"), while seeking reconciliation. She again filed for divorce on 3/20/95. Anna Stanley's divorce filing asked for a jury trial (originally to begin in the first half of 1996) and sought alimony division of assets and possession of their home. Stanley claimed his "childhood difficulties" caused the problems in his marriage.

Stanley stepped down from all administrative duties at First Baptist Church (FBCA) (effective 9/1/95) in an emotional 4-hour, 8/13/95 meeting, but retained preaching responsibilities. He said he would resign completely if the divorce became final. Stanley's son, Andy Stanley, resigned the pastorate (8/2/95) of FBCA's northside satellite congregation (estb. 1988) and has started a new church (incorporated as Northpoint Community Church: geared to people "who feel disenfranchised by traditional churches"; services began in late-1996). He thought his father should have stepped down as leader of FBC Atlanta. Several other FBC Atlanta senior staff people also resigned.

At a 10/95 Congregational meeting, about 86% of FBCA's 5,000 members present agreed with the deacon's 35-3 decision to retain Stanley as pastor. Stanley then claimed God told him, "You keep doing what I called you to do, where I called you to do it, until I tell you to do something else. If God wants me to move, He can move me instantly. ... I'm not going to step aside and step down in disobedience to God. ... If you want to move me out, you live by it." Stanley made it clear he was still the church's leader -- "Somebody has to give direction." (Reported in the 5/1/95 & 9/15/95 issues of the Calvary Contender and the 10/9/95, Christian News.)

In early-1996, Anna Stanley withdrew her nearly 3-year-old petition for divorce. She said: "I am pleased to announce that Charles and I are making progress toward reconciling our marriage differences. This past week I cancelled my petition for divorce ... Although we are not living together at this time, we are working toward that end ..." (3/26/96, Indiana Baptist). Mrs. Stanley moved back home shortly thereafter.

According to the May 23, 2000 edition of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Anna Stanley filed a petition, as "A.J. Stanley" requesting divorce from "C.F. Stanley," on February 16, 2000, charging their marriage of 44 years was "irretrievably broken." An Atlanta judge signed the final divorce decree May 11, 2000, following the execution of a property agreement by the Stanleys on April 5th. Stanley has retained his position as pastor of FBCA.

- Stanley was one of the original founders (along with Jerry Falwell and other neo-evangelicals) of the Moral Majority (now succeeded by the Liberty Federation), which is one of the classic examples of "the good cause syndrome" -- the persuasion that Christians can cross Scriptural lines of demarcation if the cause is good enough. (In actuality, the Moral Majority joined believer and unbeliever, Mormon and Methodist, Catholic and charismatic in an unholy union to save the country. But rather than the country being saved, the cause of Christ was damaged. The line of demarcation between the godly and the "do-gooder" was blurred beyond recognition.) (Reported in New Neutralism II, pp. 70-71.) [Stanley was also instrumental in the formation of Pat Robertson's Christian Coalition.]

- Stanley has also served on the board of the National Religious Broadcasters, one of the most compromising neo-evangelical organizations in Christendom today. But most damaging to Stanley's claim to the fundamentalist label is his affiliation with the Southern Baptist Convention. There can be no genuine fundamentalists in the SBC. (Fundamentalism is the militant belief and proclamation of the totality of the doctrine of Christ, including Scriptural separation from those who reject it and from those who effectively deny the sufficiency of Christ.)

Stanley claims to believe in Biblical inerrancy, and at one time clearly recognized the apostasy of the SBC. Stanley instructed his church that the way to fight the apostasy was to starve it out by refusing to give to the SBC's Cooperative Program. But then in 1984, Stanley was elected to the presidency of the SBC. His statement at his first press conference was: "I think we have to learn to live together and love each other, whether we agree or not." Stanley announced to the Baptist Press Association on 9/17/84, that he had now challenged his church to more than double its Cooperative Program giving for the coming year and to "rethink" its entire missions program. Dr. Stanley chose to settle for parity instead of purity (New Neutralism II, pp. 70-71).

- Stanley has endorsed the Life Application Bible (along with Billy Graham, Howard Hendricks, and D. James Kennedy), a study Bible with study notes in support of self-love and other humanistic concepts (e.g., study note to Rom. 12:3 -- "Healthy self-esteem is important because some of us think too little of ourselves ... the key to an honest and accurate evaluation is knowing the basis of our self-worth -- our identity in Christ ..."; and Gen. 1:26 -- "Knowing that we are made in God's image, and thus share many of His characteristics, provides a solid basis for self-worth ... Because we bear God's image, we can feel positive about ourselves ... Knowing you are a person of worth helps you love God ..."). Stanley is quoted on the back cover saying, "The Life Application Bible is a concrete step toward allowing the Spirit to transform the reader into a modern-day living epistle."

- Stanley has endorsed Rapha Hospital Treatment Centers of Houston, Texas (along with other so-called evangelicals as D. James Kennedy, Jerry Falwell, and Beverly LaHaye). Rapha is an organization that heavily promotes Alcoholics Anonymous, 12-Step codependency/recovery programs as a "Christian" methodology for the cure of "dysfunctional" relationships. Rapha specializes in the "treatment" of so-called codependent and/or addicted Christians by employing an amalgamation of Adlerean-Maslowian need psychology and the Bible. Rapha debuted in 1986 and claims to have treated over 30,000 psychiatric in-patients since then. Rapha also claims that over 3,500 churches in the U.S. are using its materials. Stanley is quoted as saying that, "I am grateful to God for all Rapha is doing to help hurting people. Those of us who are pastors are thankful for an organization like Rapha." (Must reading for anyone desiring a fuller understanding of the "codependent" heresy sweeping the church today would be 12 Steps to Destruction: Codependency/Recovery Heresies, by Martin and Deidre Bobgan, EastGate Publishers, Santa Barbara, CA, 1991, 247 pages.)

- March, 1990: Stanley announced on his television show, an "Inspiration Cruise" where a guest speaker would be David Seamands, the "Church's" leading proponent of Healing of the Memories/Inner Healing (which uses one or more psychological and/or occultic techniques, such as regression, visualization, guided imagery, dream analysis, and the various Gestalt therapies consisting of primal scream, ventilation, role plays, etc.). (In Stanley's 9/91 In Touch magazine, he again announced a cruise with Seamands for March of 1992.) [In a message broadcast 10/23/98 titled "Self-Defense Against Satan's Relentless Assault," Stanley taught that visualization is not occultic, but quite normal; i.e., no different than picturing a banana split you're going to order after church. In that same light, Christians "need to visualize doing good, so that Satan's tape recording in your mind will not have harmful effects."]

- Gary Smalley joined Stanley for In Touch Ministries ' March 4-8, 1991 "Bible Cruise." Smalley is the "Church's" leading proponent of Right-Brain/Left-Brain pseudoscience. (This right-brain/left-brain myth, which claims to describe personality types by brain hemisphere dominance, as well as give insights into male/female communication effectiveness, has been thoroughly discredited by secular neuroscientists, to say nothing of the fact that it has no support in Scripture -- for a more detailed analysis of Smalley's teachings, see pp. 211-223 of Prophets of PsychoHeresy II: Critiquing Dr. James C. Dobson (reissued as James Dobson's Gospel of Self-Esteem & Psychology, without the Smalley chapter), Martin and Deidre Bobgan, EastGate Publishers, Santa Barbara, CA, 1990, 310 pages; and "Gary Smalley: The Psychology of Matriarchy," Media Spotlight Special Report, Albert Dager, 1989, 4 pages.)

In addition, Gary Smalley's "Love Is A Decision" Seminar (Gary Smalley & John Trent) for those "desiring to strengthen their relationships" was held at Stanley's First Baptist Church 9/27/91-9/28/91. The Seminar was advertised as being endorsed by Dobson's Focus On The Family and cost $35 per person. Topics included: "The Incredible Worth of a Woman"; "Five Ways To Love and Network Your Kids"; and "How To Discover and Maximize Your Personality Strengths" (7/28/91, The Witness).

- Stanley has also endorsed the NIV Men's Devotional Bible (Zondervan)"... you will find the daily sharpening you need from more than one hundred Christian men." These "Christian" men included Tom Landry, Larry Burkett, Bill Hybels, and Dave Dravecky. All three also taught on Stanley's 1994 January Cruise. Stanley also held a 1995 January Bible Study Cruise through Templeton Tours. Speakers were neo-evangelical psychologizer, female teacher Kay Arthur and former Southern Baptist Convention presidents Jerry Vines and Adrian Rogers. Stanley was also a featured speaker at the Billy Graham Training Center at the Cove, North Carolina, from 8/11/94-8/14/94, and every year since.

- Promise Keepers is the gigantic new (1991) "men's movement" among professing evangelical Christians. Its roots are Catholic and charismatic to the core. PK's contradictory stand on homosexuality; its promotion of secular psychology; its unscriptural feminizing of men; its depiction of Jesus as a "phallic messiah" tempted to perform homosexual acts; and its ecumenical and unbiblical teachings should dissuade any true Christian from participating. Promise Keepers is proving to be one of the most ungodly and misleading movements in the annals of Christian history. Nevertheless, Stanley is a promoter of this ecumenical, charismatic, psychologized men's movement -- over 200 members from Stanley's First Baptist of Atlanta (FBCA) attended the Promise Keepers National Convention in Boulder, Colorado in 1994, and PK is listed as a "Support Group" ministry at FBCA.

- October, 1989: Stanley broadcast a radio message in support of unconditional love and acceptance, giving as Scriptural support the Parable of the Lost Son (Lk. 15:11ff); Stanley stopped at v. 20, calling that verse proof of our unconditional acceptance by God, without our confession! (Verses 21ff. should be examined to see that acceptance only follows confession -- See Brownback, The Danger of Self-Love, pp. 109-116, and Bobgan, Prophets of PsychoHeresy II, pp. 91-96, (reissued as James Dobson's Gospel of Self-Esteem & Psychology) for proper, Biblical analyses of so-called unconditional love and acceptance.)

- Stanley has fully endorsed the general teachings and counseling model of so-called Christian psychologist, Dr. Larry Crabb. [Crabb's model of counseling is primarily a psychological system of unconscious needs that supposedly motivates all behavior; this system has been derived from Freudian (the "unconscious") and humanistic (a "hierarchy of needs") psychology, with great emphasis on so-called emotional needs.]

- Howard Hendricks is currently doing Teammates marriage seminars with Bruce and Donna Cook. The Cooks are not Biblically-based teachers, but are even more psychologically-oriented than Hendricks and Stanley. Bruce Cook is also President of Rapha Southeast, which a Teammates ' brochure describes as "a Christ-centered counseling ministry based in Atlanta." The 10-tape Teammates video series heavily promotes temperament surveys, personality testing, and "individual needs" analysis. Strangely, Teammates was endorsed by Charles Stanley (who at the time was unbiblically separated from his wife!): "Teammates is one of the very best tools we have to help marriage partners. Many couples continue to express the incredibly positive impact of this program in enriching their marriage. I heartily recommend Teammates." What incredible hypocrisy here! If Stanley's self-esteem therapy hasn't worked for his own marriage, why is he continuing to sell it to the world? (See below.)

- Stanley's evangelism efforts have become quite ecumenical -- he endorsed Pat Robertson's initial efforts to form "a grass roots coalition of Evangelicals, conservative Catholics, and their allies ... to make government and the media responsible to our concerns. It's high time we realize strength that comes through unity." (Reported in the September 1990, Omega Letter.)

Robertson began this effort in 1989 with the formation of the Christian Coalition. In 1990, Robertson started the American Center For Law and Justice (ACLJ), a law group providing free legal counsel for Christians in battle with "anti-God, anti-family groups." Executive director of the ACLJ is former Ohio prosecutor Keith Fournier, a charismatic Catholic activist, former Dean of Evangelism and legal counsel at the Roman Catholic (Franciscan) University of Steubenville in Ohio, and author of the book Evangelical Catholics (which book is a plea for Protestants to join Catholics in a joint evangelization effort; i.e., an "evangelistic endeavor" that will "evangelize" the world by the year 2000). Fournier, speaking of Stanley and others in Evangelical Catholics: "I found not only a tremendous openness to my presence but also a growing respect for my church and a thawing in what had been hard ice in the past."

- Dr. Bill Jackson, president of the Association of Fundamentalists Evangelizing Catholics (AFEC), prepared a 6/18/99 statement on "The Gospel of Jesus Christ -- An Evangelical Celebration" (EC) (see the 6/14/99 Christianity Today for the full text of the EC). This document has been endorsed by Charles Colson, Bill Bright, and J.I. Packer, all of whom also signed the controversial ECT documents of 1994 and 1997; as well as endorsed by R.C. Sproul, John MacArthur and D. James Kennedy, all of whom publicly [albeit weakly] challenged and criticized them for signing the ECT documents (see above). There are a number of helpful statements in this latest document which deal with areas which were not fully dealt with in the ECT documents (e.g., imputation is now dealt with favorably, but has been consistently opposed by Roman Catholic Councils and Catechisms). EC says, "We cannot embrace any form of doctrinal indifferentism by which God's truth is sacrificed for a false peace." But there is certainly no better example of "doctrinal indifferentism" than the ECT documents themselves (James 1:8)! Because ECT I stated that "Evangelicals and Catholics are brothers and sisters in Christ," in order to be relevant the new EC document should be submitted to the Roman Catholics who signed ECT I and II. It is difficult to see how a person could subscribe to both ECT and EC. The only logical conclusion is for all who signed EC to remove their names from ECT. It also appears that the so-called "evangelical" ECT endorsers have been "let off the hook" by former critics such as R.C. Sproul. We believe EC will be used to rehabilitate those who erred in 1994 and 1997, without their having to admit or ask forgiveness for their error. (Source: 7/15/99, Calvary Contender.) [Other "evangelical" endorsers of EC among the 15 members of the Drafting Committee and 114 members of the Endorsing Committee include John Ankerberg, Kay Arthur, Tony Evans, Jerry Falwell, Bill Hybels, David Jeremiah, D. James Kennedy, Max Lucado, Woodrow Kroll, Tim & Beverly LaHaye, Erwin Lutzer, Bill McCartney, Luis Palau, Pat Robertson, Ronald Sider, Charles Stanley, John Stott, Joseph Stowell, Chuck Swindoll, Bruce Wilkinson, and Ravi Zacharias; also endorsing EC were hyper-charismatics Jack Hayford and Steven Strang.]

However ignorant Stanley and fellow endorsers may be of all this, his participation in EC makes him a party to its consequences. It is also important to note that the EC document (which is supposed to be a definitive and comprehensive statement of the true saving Gospel of Christ), never mentions repentance for salvation, and never mentions the total depravity of man (thereby leaning towards a decisional regeneration). Moreover, the EC promotes an ecumenical unity (via "trans-denominational cooperative enterprises") with all professing believers who attest to the EC's "essentials" of the faith. But this is not the unity of the faith taught in Ephesians. While we are instructed by Scripture to be of one mind, the evangelical today scoffs at the idea of true Biblical unity based on complete agreement with, and submission to, God's holy Word. The only use of the word "unity" in the New Testament is found in Ephesians chapter four. It is a "unity of the Spirit" (v. 3), not of men. It is a "unity of faith" (v. 13) based on sound doctrine for which believers are to contend, not water down nor reclassify into essentials and non-essentials (Jude 3). No real spiritual unity can exist apart from doctrinal unity, and we are to "mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them" (Rom. 16:17).

- In 1987, Bill Bright of the ecumenical Campus Crusade for Christ founded a "broad-based coalition of denominations and World Christian leaders" called New Life 2000. Billy Graham is the honorary chairman of an advisory board of 1000 leading "Christians." These so-called Christian leaders include James Dobson from Focus on the Family, James Kennedy of Coral Ridge Ministries, Charles Stanley , E.V. Hill, and Ted Engstrom (founder of World Vision and acting chairman of the committee). Jay Gary is an author, consultant, and partner with New Age occultist, Robert Muller. (Gary is directly promoting the philosophies of the World Parliament of Religions, the United Nations agenda for education via Robert Mueller's Global Core curriculum, and Global 2000, a plan whose goals include reduction of the world's population by the year 2000. In a best seller entitled Megatrends 2000, endorsed by Gary/Muller's newsletter as well as New Ager Marilyn Ferguson, the author devotes an entire chapter to religion, speaking favorably of New Age perspectives.) Jay Gary is also communications consultant with "New Life 2000," CCC's A.D. 2000 counterpart.

Stanley is also involved in another ecumenical evangelism organization -- the CoMission, a coalition of over 60 "evangelical" groups chaired by Bruce Wilkinson, the ecumenical head of Walk Thru The Bible Ministries and author of the name-it-and-claim-it best seller, The Prayer of Jabez.. Members besides Stanley's In Touch ministries include: Campus Crusade for Christ, Moody Bible Institute, Youth For Christ, Church of God, and Biola. The CoMission has the endorsement of the Russian Orthodox Church. (Reported in the 7/1/93, Calvary Contender.)

- Campus Crusade founder Bill Bright fasted 40 days during the summer of 1994, during which he claims to have received a "prophecy from God" that a mighty revival is coming. He then issued a call for hundreds of liberals, charismatics, and new-evangelicals to gather in Orlando 12/5/94-12/7/94 to fast and pray for revival. An Invitation Committee made up of a hodgepodge of 72 liberals, new evangelicals, and charismatics was formed. Included were: Robert Schuller, Charles Colson, E.V. Hill, Jack Hayford, James Dobson, W.A. Criswell, Charles Stanley, Paul Crouch, Luis Palau, Bill Gothard, Pat Robertson, Kay Arthur, and Larry Burkett. CCC's Bill Bright cites "a great sense of urgency to link arms and unitedly call upon God for help in the spirit of King Jehoshaphat (2 Chr. 20)." This ecumenical "linking" is in the "spirit of Jehoshaphat" indeed, but the Jehoshaphat of 2 Chr. 18 (instead of 2 Chr. 20) where he "linked" with wicked King Ahab and incurred the wrath of God. (Reported in the 11/15/94, Calvary Contender.) [Another three-day "Fasting & Prayer" conference was held in 11/95 in Los Angeles; it attracted 3,500 "evangelicals" and charismatics. The Invitation/Host Committee for this event included most of those listed above, plus Dick Eastman, Chuck Smith, Bill McCartney (Promise Keepers), Tim and Beverly LaHaye, Shirley Dobson, Paul Cedar (E-Free), Ted Engstrom (World Vision), Joseph Stowell (Moody), and Joseph Aldrich (Multnomah). A third conference was held 11/14/96-11/16/96 in St. Louis. New additions to the Host Committee included Max Lucado, Henry Blackaby, Loren Cunningham (YWAM), Greg Laurie, Dennis Rainey, Randy Phillips (Promise Keepers), Josh McDowell, D. James Kennedy, Howard Hendricks, and Neil Anderson. (Conferences have been held every year now, but there is an uncertain future with Bill Bright's retirement (August, 2001) from Campus Crusade.)]

- Stanley has also evidently jumped on the bandwagon of the charismatic spiritual warfare movement. The 1/9/93 Bulletin of Stanley's FBCA contained the following announcement: "Spiritual Warfare Conference -- Saturday and Sunday, January 15 and 16. Speakers: Dr. Mark I. Bubeck [former professor at Moody Bible Institute, author, and self-proclaimed "spiritual warfare counselor" (Center for Counseling, Sioux City, IA)], Dr. Victor M. Matthews [demon-deliverance teacher at Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary], and Dr. C. Fred Dickason [Professor and Chairman of the Theology Department at Moody Bible Institute, where he has been teaching students "demon deliverance" since 1961]. [In a 2/94 letter to "Friends of IN TOUCH," Stanley writes: "When Satan puts an immoral thought in your mind, reject it. When he tempts you, thank God for His way of escape. When he oppresses your spirit or emotions, tell him to leave 'in Jesus' name.'"]

As a result of this conference, possibly thousands of Christians were subjected to the concentrated efforts of three leading veterans (40-plus years) of the warfare, demon-deliverance movement -- plus all their Satan-/demon-centered books. Some of the message titles were: "Interfacing Our Three Enemies," "Spiritual Warfare Counseling," "Practical Benefits of Spiritual Warfare," and "Helping People Grow Toward Freedom." These charismatic meetings, seminars, conferences, and books, are not Christ-centered, but rather Satan- and demon-centered.

- The serious error of eradication of the believer's Adamic life and nature is causing harm throughout the Church. It is a product of Covenant theology, and is being spread by Charles Stanley. On a TV broadcast, Stanley said,

"I no longer believe that the believer has two natures. All our struggles are spiritual in nature. Each one is a part of an ongoing struggle between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan.”

The eradicationist, as seen above, dispenses with the sinful Adamic life and nature by relegating the first Adam to extinction. In order to account for sin in the life of the believer, the "flesh" becomes the source of indwelling evil. The flesh is described by such symptoms as: learned and developed pre-conversion habits, appetites, influences, tendencies, residual sin, and according to John MacArthur, "vestiges of our sinful flesh," "graveclothes of our sinful flesh," and "residual fallenness," etc.

Eradication instills in the believer a tendency to avoid responsibility for personal sins. Considering his old man eradicated, he is wont to shift the blame for his sin upon factors form his past -- old habits and tendencies, dysfunctional family conditions, etc. Many avoid responsibility for personal sin by blaming Satan. Heretofore it was, "The devil made me do it"; but now it is, "Satan did it." (Source: “Back to the Bible and One Naturism,” 11/96, paper by Miles Stanford.)

- Stanley's religious roots are Pentecostal, and he has never forsaken them. A 9/96 Charisma article reveals that Stanley's Atlanta church attracts many charismatics who also watch his program on stations affiliated with Paul Crouch's TBN. Stanley says:

"I have no problem with the Pentecostal movement. I think they have put life back into the church, frankly. People ask me, 'Do you have charismatic people in your meetings?' Absolutely! Then they ask, 'Do you like that?' Absolutely! It makes for a good mixture. There needs to be life, joy, happiness and praising God, and I'm all for that."

Stanley thinks it's humorous that many charismatics believe he is one of them while some Baptists aren't too sure what he is. Stanley says, "None of that bothers me, I just love God. If somebody loves God, who cares what kind of title they have?" (Reported in part in the 9/15/96, Calvary Contender.)

- On a recent radio broadcast, Stanley said that God will not send people to hell if they have never heard the gospel. Following is an extract:

"… [W]ould God send somebody to hell because they did not receive Jesus whom they never heard about, never had the privilege of knowing about? And my answer is: No, he would not" (Stanley, In Touch Ministries, "Reconciling God's Love with His Justice," July 31, 2001).

This is a great error. In Ephesians 2, God describes the condition of those who are outside of Christ. They are dead in trespasses and sins (v. 1), by nature the children of wrath (v. 3), having no hope, and without God in the world (v. 12). This is the unsaved man's condition regardless of whether or not he has heard the gospel. He is condemned already, and that is why it is so imperative that Christ's commission be obeyed and the gospel be preached to the ends of the earth. (Church News Notes, 8/3/01, David Cloud, FBIS)

- In his 1994 book How To Listen To God, Stanley espouses the belief that God continues to speak to man today outside of His Word (i.e., special revelation) (pp. 15-16; 81-82), and that he has been specifically used by God as a conduit/channel for that special revelation to others! (pp. 15-16). Stanley even claims to have had a vision from God (p. 11), and that those who rely solely on Scripture are missing out on all that God has for them (p. 128). He even spends a whole chapter on "Identifying the Voice of God," which turns out to be nothing but a guessing game.

- Stanley disagrees with his denomination's stand against women leading the church (6/28/00, Charlotte Observer). He said he was led to Christ by a fiery female pastor and, "There are some godly women. ..." "I would never say that a woman could not preach. ..." "You just can't draw the line and say, 'You can't do so-and-so.' You just can't put God in a box." As to this issue being divisive, he said sometimes our decisions "alienate people." But Jesus was "divisive" and his doctrines sometimes alienated people. (Source: 7/15/00, Calvary Contender.)

- In 1992, Radio Bible Class's Discovery House Publishers published a revised edition of Oswald Chambers 1935 daily devotional classic My Utmost for His Highest. This revised edition is billed as "an updated edition in today's language." It was revised/edited by James Reimann, who has been a part of Charles Stanley's ministry "for over 20 years." Stanley says this about the revised edition in its Foreword:

"I am greatly encouraged to see these powerful daily devotions updated with more contemporary expressions. The purpose of this edition is to make it more readable and easily understood. Not a single truth has been altered even to the slightest degree . ..." (Emphasis added.)

One only need read the devotional for February 10th, "Is Your Ability To See God Blinded?" (in Chambers words, "Is Your Imagination of God Starved?"), to understand that truth has been altered by Mr. Reimann. In the text of the 2/10 devotional, in three instances where Chambers writes of "imagination," Reimann substitutes the word "visualize" or "visualization." Can Mr. Reimann possibly be unaware that in "today's language" visualization is an occult technique?! [In fact, visualization is the most powerful occult technique available -- visualizing an entity, even "God" or "Christ," puts one in touch with a masquerading demon (see Beyond Seduction, pp. 190-240).]

- In an August, 1990, advertising flier sent to parents that home school their children, Stanley's In Touch Ministries offered to sell a Personality Profile test package (for $30.00) that promises to, "build your child's self-esteem, discover what motivates their actions, ... understand recurring patterns of behavior, provide appropriate discipline and instruction geared to their specific temperament, prepare your children to deal with peer pressure through a positive self-image, and make your job as a parent less frustrating and more rewarding." The test results are also promised to provide "a classical personality pattern(s)," for each child, such as achiever, perfectionist, persuader, etc., in order to describe the child's emotions, goals, strengths, weaknesses, group behavior, and value system, all in order to "transform" the parent's relationship with his child; i.e., "The Personality Profile will help your child prepare for future career decisions while building an environment where your child may avoid negative peer pressure and grow spiritually." (Emphasis added.)

Stanley's Personality Profile is merely another psychological testing/personality typing gimmick, of which all such tests have been proven in the past to have insufficient statistical validity or reliability, either in measuring personality traits or in using such traits to successfully motivate or modify behavior. (See PsychoHeresy, pp. 74-75, and Four Temperaments, Astrology & Personality Testing, both by Martin and Deidre Bobgan, EastGate Publishers, Santa Barbara, CA, for excellent analyses of the worthlessness of psychological and personality testing.)

- Stanley's church teaches self-love/self-esteem to children in its beginners Sunday School classes and has held numerous seminars on "building your child's self-esteem." One publication states, "Try teaching pre-schoolers. Showing a toddler the wonders of nature or how wonderfully he/she is made and unconditionally loved happens to be a great training ground for sharing your faith" (7/28/91, The Witness). Stanley continues with this self-esteem theme: In a message broadcast 10/23/98 titled "Self-Defense Against Satan's Relentless Assault," Stanley taught that Satan's constant assault causes Christians to feel worthless and have their self-esteem crushed. This is bad, according to Stanley, since "Christ died for us because of our great value."

God died for us "because of our great value"?! This is a tragedy of immeasurable magnitude that we have people who claim to belong to the living God, and churches that claim to be Bible-believing churches, that are robbing God of that which belongs to Him and Him alone -- all the esteem, all the honor, is His for the work of salvation -- and directing it back to themselves. What blasphemy is being promoted from within the church today! -- that men like Charles Stanley can find a way to say, "You want to know how valuable I am? You want to know how much worth I have? You want to know what gives me self-esteem? God thought I was valuable enough to die for." That's blasphemy. That's robbing God of that which is His alone. God did not die for us because of our great worth, but because of our great sin! He died because of who He is, and in spite of what we are (cf. Rom. 5:8). He died to demonstrate His righteousness and His divine justice (Rom. 3:23-26). There is no mercy if it had to do with my worth. It is not of grace if it had to do with my value. Anyone who would try to divert some of that glory, honor, and esteem to man is robbing God of the worship due Him and Him alone.

- Stanley's psychologizing is evident throughout the materials he sends to those on his mailing list. Just as an example, in the 1/93 In Touch magazine, Stanley speaks of reaching "emotional overload[s]" due to childhood problems. He teaches unconditional love for others (1/6), self-love for yourself (1/7), self-forgiveness necessary to truly enjoy the liberation that God's forgiveness brings (1/7), self-worth and self-esteem (1/8; 1/29), unconditional love and acceptance (1/8; 1/19), and intrinsic worth (1/11). In the 6/93 and 7/93 In Touch magazines, Stanley implies that man is generally born good, but becomes unlikable only "with time and abuse" (6/93); that man's greatest need is significance (6/17); that self-esteem and self-worth are necessary for good husband-wife relationships (6/17); and that it is important to instill feelings of worth in your child so that he may experience "healthy growth and stability" and not struggle "with the acceptance of God's love and grace" (7/20). Moreover, in the 9/93 In Touch magazine, Stanley quotes favorably from psychologist and mystic Richard Foster's book The Celebration of Discipline (9/22). (Foster is the head of Renovaré, an international ecumenical organization that espouses the use of guided imagery and visualization as means of obtaining "personal spiritual renewal.") In the 11/93 In Touch magazine, Stanley advertises for sale the books of psychologist James Dobson (When God Doesn't Make Sense) and ecumenical Catholic-sympathizer Charles Colson (The Body).

The 10/94 In Touch magazine featured a four-page article by Stanley titled, "When We Feel Inferior." Stanley claimed that:

"... along with my stepfather's words that I was 'good for nothing and would never amount to anything,' only helped to reinforce my struggle with low self-esteem, an emotional conflict I would fight for years to come. Anytime we buy into feelings of inferiority, our minds become clouded with a sense of self-doubt and insecurity. But when God sees us, He sees tremendous potential. He loves us unconditionally and accepts us right where we are. ... When others do not approve, but criticize us, we feel a loss of worthiness and self-esteem. ... Each of us at some point in life struggles with feelings of inferiority. ... countless housewives struggle with depression and low self-esteem because they feel inferior to their friends who work in an office along with its perks. ... we can dare to disregard the idea that we are nobody. We no longer need to deceive ourselves about our true self-identity; we know we are somebody to God. ... God loves you ... no matter how rich or poor, you can step toward Him and tell Him: 'Lord, I need You. I feel so inferior, and it hurts so badly.' He will come to your aid and give you a place of rest, a sense of worthiness, and a vision of hope for the future. ... With God there is always hope. He sees your life and knows exactly what it takes to turn your thinking around. You are a person of worth, because God is worthy and He lives inside of you. This is where inferiority stops and courage and self-worth are born."

On the inside cover of the same issue of In Touch, Stanley says:

"The struggle with inferiority can be all consuming. ... even affects the tenor of our fellowship with Christ. The less we think of ourselves, the more grueling our emotional journey through life. An unstable childhood deposited layers of inferiority in my thinking and behavior that discouraged me for many years. First, I realized that inferiority is just a feeling. ... What others say or do or how the past affects you may cause you to feel inferior; but from God's perspective of truth, you are fully adequate, competent, and worthy. He loves us unconditionally, ... Shifting your mental focus from feelings to the truth of Scripture is God's way to surmount the emotional gravity of inferiority. ... Believe what He declares true about you, and slowly you will find the feelings of inferiority diminish in intensity. ... The Lord has a very special plan for you because you are somebody very special to Him."

Stanley also wants to be very special to his listeners and viewers. On a 6/23/91 In Touch radio broadcast, Stanley offered a packet of materials titled, "Meditations with Charles Stanley." Included with the kit of materials were "two black and white photos of Dr. Stanley to help you with your meditations."

More current, the First Baptist Church Atlanta website (as of 8/01) lists in detail a wide range of church-sponsored psychological ministries (dubbed "Support Groups"):

Substance Abuse
Sexual Abuse Survivors (for women)
Healing for Damaged Emotions
Sexual Addiction (for men)
Homosexual Recovery
Eating Disorders
Promise Keepers
HIV/Aids (those infected and those affected)
Adult Children of Dysfunctional Families

- Stanley’s FBCA has scheduled a “Freedom in Christ” Seminar for 9/14-9/15 of 2001. The Seminar is being put on by Neil Anderson's psychological-/spiritual warfare-oriented Freedom in Christ Recovery Ministries. For $25/person, attendees will be taught "how to find freedom in your life from issues such as: Addiction & Codependency; Anger & Bitterness; Perfectionism & Workaholism; Low Self-esteem; Eating Disorders, Gambling, and Other Compulsive Behaviors; Depression & Irrational Fears; Sex Addiction & Pornography; Stress & Anxiety; [Demonic] Strongholds; Habitual Sins; Negative Thoughts; and Broken Relationships." Here are some other beauties as to why believers cannot find freedom in Christ (each a totally unbiblical concept -- see BDM reports on Neil Anderson for an critical analysis of his "ministry"):

Need to realize that God accepts them just the way they are, forgive themselves, and accept themselves.

Do not know they are dead to the law, and everything is permissible, and are still trying to perform and measure up to get their acceptance and worth.
Don't know that God accepts them as they are and has not changed as a result of their sin.
Do not understand spiritual warfare and that Satan was defeated at the cross, and we have authority over him and the demonic.

False Prophets EXPOSED!
"For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers... Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake." —Titus 1:10,11

FALSE PROPHETS AND TEACHERS...Benny Hinn, T.D. Jakes, Robert Schuller, Marilyn Hickey, Paul and Jan Crouch, Rod Parsley, R.W. Shambach, Carlton Pearson, John Avanzinni, Kenneth & Gloria Copeland, John Hagee, Jessie Duplantis, Oral Roberts, Richard Roberts, Kenneth Hagin Sr., Kenneth Hagin Jr., Frederick Price, Creflo Dollar, Rodney Howard Browne, Jack Van Impe, Rinehard Bonnke, Joyce Meyer, Morris Cerullo, John Kilpatrick, Clarence McClendon, Rick Joyner, Hal Lindsey, Charles Capps, Robert Tilton.

FALSE PROPHETS...Ellen G. White, Joseph Smith, Kim Clement, Mark Charonna, Juanita Bynum, Brigham Young, Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, Jack Van Impe, John Kilpatrick.

HERETICAL BOOKS & MOVEMENTS ... New World Translation, Kenneth Copeland Study Bible, Book of Mormon, Brownsville Revival, Azusu Street Revival, Pensacola Outpouring, Holy Laughter, Slain in the Spirit, Gospel in the Stars, Endtime Restorationism, Perpetual 5-Fold Ministry, Free Masonry.

PROBLEMATIC TEACHERS ... Pat Robertson, D. James Kennedy, Joel Osteen.

Why these men are false teachers and prophets.....

Benny Hinn is about the most sought after false prophet and teacher today. Benny Hinn falsely predicted that all the homosexuals in America would die by fire in the late 1990's. Benny Hinn has confessed that there are 9 beings within the Godhead. 3 beings (Tritheism) each having their own trinity of beings within each. Benny Hinn teaches word-faith doctrine. Benny Hinn stated on TBN that after his crusade in South America in 2002, that he was certain that he would return to America with video footage of Jesus appearing on stage during the crusades, because Jesus had told him this was going to happen. Hinn also stated that very soon people would no longer need to take their deceased loved ones to the morgue. Instead, stated Hinn, they should be placed in front of the television during the airing of TBN and they would rise from the dead. We don't have enough paper to list all of the falseness of Hinns ministry.

T.D. Jakes has many other false teachings including word-faith, and the prosperity gospel.

Robert Schuller, is a positive thinking guru who denies essential Christian doctrine.

Marilyn Hickey is a word-faith teacher teaching false doctrine. One of her tapes recods her having a conversation with her billfold, commanding the billfold to fill itself with greenbacks.

Paul Crouch is responsible for an unending open door welcoming false teachers and prophets to his pulpit no matter how outlandish their their aberant teachings may be. Croch has publicly stated that anyone who tests the teaching of any ministers on his programs will go straight to hell. Crouch has openly stated his desire to kill Christian apologists who point out heresy preached on his stations.

Rod Parsley is a word-faith preacher who specializes in whipping up his audiences into altered states of consciousness. His outlandish style is attractive to people who get emotionally carried away by repetitive music and mantras.

R.W. Shambach is an incredible con-artist used by CBN to raise money during their telethons. With scare tactics and false teaching, Shambach surgically convinces thousands to send their money to finance the heretical TBN .

Carlton Pearson has even been attacked by false teachers like T.D. Jakes for his support of the "doctrine of exclusion." This doctrine tries to reconcile Christianity and Islam, claiming the 2 religions are completely compatible.

John Avanzinni is a name-it-and-claim-it mega-star used by TBN whenever they want to promote the hundredfold blessing. Avanzinni also promotes the heresy that God's reason for creating humanity is to duplicate himself.

Kenneth & Gloria Copeland have one of the largest false ministries and influences in America. Copeland teaches that Adam was an exact duplicate of God. Copeland teaches that Jesus became a demonic being when he was crucified and had to go to hell and be born again. The Copelands attempt to specialize in word-faith teaching. Copeland calls God, the biggest loser in the Bible, and says Jesus was not God during his earthly life.

John Hagee calls Covenant Theologians heretics, because they do not make a distinction between the church and Israel in the New Testament. Branding them as the "carriers of Hitler's annointing", Hagee divides the body of Christ on secondary issues. Hagee is also extremely dogmatic in his eschatology, failing to understand that there are many diverse interpretations acceptable within the pale of orthodoxy.

Jessie Duplantis' ministry is riddled with errors. Presenting his messages with humor, Duplantis is a typical word-faith clone of Ken Copeland, often preaching from Copeland's pulpit.

Oral Roberts and son, Richard Roberts are both word-faith con-artists. Oral is the originator of the seed-faith doctrine. Have a need? Plant a seed. Large amounts of cash make the best seed for planting. Both men practice cultic doctrines of bringing their chorts into altered states of consciousness

Sister Betty States:

quote:
I do not believe you can lose your salvation. I believe they were never saved but looked and pretended to be saved. When Jesus saves us, His salvation is sufficient. It doesn't run out.
betty

First Sister i read what was posted in its entireity and when finished you had already posted:

DID YOU read all of that article???

2nd You stated above what "YOU" believe...so?

How does that help anyone...where is your scripture...what you believe is not "scipture" where is the scripture for what you believe?

How can you possibly help anyone with just the statement you made:

do not believe you can lose your salvation. I believe they were never saved but looked and pretended to be saved. When Jesus saves us, His salvation is sufficient. It doesn't run out.
