I've heard stories like these before, but as I have had a catheter put in and pulled out, I can't lie to you. I blinked!

During the civil wars in feudal Japan, an invading army would quickly sweep into a town and take control. In one particular village, everyone fled just before the army arrived - everyone except the Zen master. Curious about this old fellow, the general went to the temple to see for himself what kind of man this master was. When he wasn't treated with the deference and submissiveness to which he was accustomed, the general burst into anger. "You fool," he shouted as he reached for his sword, "don't you realize you are standing before a man who could run you through without blinking an eye!" But despite the threat, the master seemed unmoved. "And do you realize," the master replied calmly, "that you are standing before a man who can be run through without blinking an eye?"

One Sunday morning during church service, a 2,000 member congregation was surprised to see two men enter, both covered from head to toe in black and carrying submachine guns.

One of the men shouted, "Anyone willing to take a bullet for Christ remain where you are"!

Immediately, the choir fled, the deacons fled, and most of the congregation fled. Out of the 2,000, there only remained around 20.

The man who had spoken took off his hood, looked at the preacher and said "Okay Pastor, I got rid of all the hypocrites. Now you may begin
your service. Have a nice day!" And the two men turned and walked out.

An interesting allegory on the spiritual condition of the western church. I wonder how I would react in the shoes of Peter, on the night that he denied Christ three times. I wonder how I would stand for my faith in a different culture where I would be killed for being a believer? Could I stand with my Brother Polycarp and defend my faith in the face of death?

Polycarp was a personal disciple of the Apostle John. As an old man, he was the bishop of the Church at Smyrna in Asia Minor (present-day Turkey). Persecution against the Christians broke out there and believers were being fed to the wild beasts in the arena. The crowd began to call for the Christians' leader Polycarp. So the authorities sent out a search party to bring him in. They tortured two slave boys to reveal where Polycarp was being hidden.

When asked to renounce Christ Polycarp replied:
"Eighty-six years I have served Him. He had never done me wrong. How then can I blaspheme my King who has saved me?"

The proconsul reached for an acceptable way out: "Then do this, old man. Just swear by the genius of the emperor and that will be sufficient." (The "genius" was sort of the "spirit" of the emperor. To do this would be a recognition of the pagan gods and religion.)

REPLY: "If you imagine for a moment that I would do that, then I think you pretend that you don't know who I am. Hear it plainly. I am a Christian."

Polycarp was burned to death, but his faith never wavered as the fires burned higher.

A question arises,"Do we share the faith which will lead us steadfastly through the fires of persecution, or have we accepted a God-Lite, a shallow faith which would wilt in the face of horrendous adversity?"

I will not answer for myself because I have not been tested in such horrendous fires of trial. What I will say is that in my flawed imperfections I must dilligently seek after my precious Lord Jesus, and allow His attributes to fill my heart and soul, and crucify my own flaws daily.

Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

OMG thus spake Drew!

Regarding your suggestion: 'come to Christ'

A hermit was meditating by a river when a young man interrupted him. "Master, I wish to become your disciple," said the man. "Why?" replied the hermit. The young man thought for a moment. "Because I want to find Christ."

The master jumped up, grabbed him by the scruff of his neck, dragged him into the river, and plunged his head under water. After holding him there for a minute, with him kicking and struggling to free himself, the master finally pulled him up out of the river. The young man coughed up water and gasped to get his breath. When he eventually quieted down, the master spoke. "Tell me, what did you want most of all when you were under water."

"Air!" answered the man.

"Very well," said the master. "Go home and come back to me when you want Christ as much as you just wanted air."

John 1:
1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2: The same was in the beginning with God.
3: All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4: In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5: And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6: There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7: The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8: He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9: That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10: He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11: He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
15: John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
16: And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
17: For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

to children born in man-made hell: (read carefully, the truth is an offence to many, but certainly not a sin!)

I am a witness, and these are the things that I have seen with these eyes which are my own. I share the visions of my eyes with you as a warning to hypocrites and others. Doubt me! You have eyes to see, let them see. You have ears to hear, let them hear. I refuse to take the blame for your misinterpretations. I have nothing to prove. If you observe a fault in my observations, please teach me. Let the TRUTH be our guide. In our confessed ignorance let doubt bind us in the seeking.

How many hypocrites by their actions deny judgement day? Their faith is exposed. They take the 'mark' of the beast. Are these the unteachable ones? the ones whose faith is in the injustice of the world, who are happy so long as they have theirs, who could care less about others, who flushed faith in righteousness down the sewer of hatred and perpetual commitment to sin, who justify themselves with excuses, who deny even their ability to choose, who rule out the righteous path, who seek out evil's rewards, who say 'I can't do that', 'there isn't sufficient reward in it!', who feel entitled to more, more, more, while children burn in the man-made hells formed of greed right here, right now, who bring children into this world as servants of their vanities, who bring children into this world as servants of corrupt institutions, as soldiers, as servants of evil, encouraging them in the seeking of the rewards of evil.

For who is enlightened is punished here. The agonies of the rising 'angelic' beings are real and a horrible sorrow, Blamed and shunned for their dedication to honesty, these righteous childen are damned to the whips of the multitudes.

For the wish of the multitudes is clearly not for education at this time. Their wish is for unconditional acceptance of their trespasses, which many actually expect to be rewarded for. In the face of the abomination of their self deluding denial and corruption, hell flies, and the lonely hope of 'on Earth as it is in Heaven' is sealed away from the children generation after generation. The righteous die forsaken on Earth. What a shame!!!

Thou shalt not most surely die!? Who would believe it!? There are too many.
