It is one thing for a Pastor to mis-speak because of confusion or just not understanding the moving of the Holy Spirit. But quite another thing when a Pastor tries to build up the crowds to send more money, by speaking things they know themselves is false. Last week of the Christian channels was giving away the book "How to be a millionaire, God's Way", to those who sent money. The give alot of things away for money on those shows, but you don't usually see stuff like how to serve God, how to be a better Christian. It is all about send me money and you will be wealthy, healthy, and wise. ![[Razz]](tongue.gif)

Just because the people on TBN or Benny Hinn describe something that they say they are seeing in the Spirit, what deception or consequence will that have? If it comes to pass, it was truth, and if it does not come to pass (if any of us are around to notice one way or the other), it wasn't truth. No big deal.
Will someone take them to the District Attorney's office and file a misdemeanor claim of misrepresentation?
How many times have I heard during my 25 years as a bornagain Christian that "such and such a revival is coming" but it never really came?
Generally, people are doing the best they can; people are fallible, the Spirit indeed is willing but the flesh is weak. God knows all about it and He'll take care of whatever needs to be done.

dear brother Watcher, as I was reading your Topic, it occurred to me that recently someone mentioned on this CBBS that the Body of Christ would "do greater works than Jesus did" as the Body of Christ, perhaps for a few years before the Second Coming of the Messiah Yahshua-Jesus, will the Body of Christ perhaps do great exploits then?

But it could be that "greater" works only means "more" works than Jesus did in the overall", since Jesus was going back to His Father and He would not be doing any more miracles on earth. From heaven He may do them, but not, for now, from earth.

So, Watcher, I was thinking that maybe the folks on TBN were describing seeing the Body of Christ in action in the latter years before the Second Coming, and they saw it in the Spirit?
Is that not possible?

Impartations of the Spirit will come to them. A little child that knows nothing about the gifts, knows nothing about the anointing, knows nothing about the power of God, will be imbued with power from on high as a child, as that TV set comes on, and will go out like fire torches to their schools and their playgrounds and their families. I see children, I see children, what looks like fire in their lips spreading - but I see these kids touching the TV set, receiving it, and going out and spreading it. And it's going to happen with children in the U.S., Canada, all over the world. And I do see people being raised from the dead here, but I see masses of them overseas.
