Whom do Americans vote for ... the one who tells you to take your medicine, or the one who offers a "spoonful of sugar"?
Americans will never elect a true statesman. A statesman tells what you NEED to hear. A politician tells you what you WANT to hear.
Already they are lining up for the next Presidential race.
Do we like it? No.
What would you suggest?
Here are my suggestions:
1. Candidates to give up on robo calls. They don't work anyway.
2. NO political ads or campaign ads on radio or tv until one month before the election.
3. Spending limit on an entire presidential campaign... comparable limits on congressional campaigns
4. Only talk about the issues and what you will do
not what your opponent did or will/will not do.
5. Debates only 2 months before the Election
6. Term limit changes
7. End the two party grid-lock
Any other good ideas or comments?
