Just saw this movie last Friday and it was excellent. It did an excellent portrayal of what Luther had to go through in his attempt to bring reform to the Catholic church, which resulted in the establishment of the new evangelical church with Luther as its leader. Peter Ustinov did an excellent job of portraying Prince Frederick, Elector of Saxony. It showed the heartache Luther also went through when some of his followers went too far when he was in exile, and the subsequent heartache he suffered when the peasant revolts were squelched. An excellent portrayal of the events of Luther's time.

Just saw this movie and strongly recommend it, although the secular press gave it only two stars.
