But the problem, is most of these people who trust in such things are people who are mainly ignorant to scripture.
They trust more in man than God.

Yes, I agree – we must always be looking for Jesus Christ’s return.
The main reason I wrote my above post is because I wish to calm the fears of people who read this garbage.
The arguments presented in the 2012 prophesies and other ideas regarding this mindset can at time be – shall we say: very convincing.
They, like most good lies, use and contort facts – making the ideas very believable.
I, like you, believe we are in charge of our own fates and create our own destiny.
Besides, like I tell all believers who ask me, if the worst does happen we will still go to be with Jesus.

Thanks for the info Mentor. You are quite right about the fear mongering and money. But, from a Biblical point of view, and with the profit motive added, it could be said that principalities and powers are at work in an attempt to get people to believe that their future is totally out of their control. It is not. The future of a born again, Blood bought Christian is both known and glorious. The Word of God does not mention a doomsday for believers. Just the opposite! An eternity in heaven, a real place. Heaven is more real than the material universe, for it is from Heaven that God expressed or spoke everything into existence. Fatalism, the belief that what happens to our future is out of our hands, is not Biblical. I see by your poem that you are a believer. My only reason to write this is because of the comments about what will be will be. No, what will be is known to our Creator and we must continually be looking for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. God Bless, Botham

My, my, my…
In my lifetime I have been privy to certain information and researched information that most people would find – should we say: slightly eccentric.
In a search for truth, may it be a higher truth or perceived truth I have learned one very important thing about doomsday prophesies, predictions, or theories – and that truth is this: No one – at least no “peon” like myself – will ever have the truth until it is too late.
If the end comes or there is some major catastrophe it is all beyond our control.
Now, onto subject.
The original inventors of the 2012 predictions – more specifically the December 21st, 2012 predictions – came from the Maya people, who’s Long Count calendar ends on this date.
At this end date, according to the Mayan people, a new age begins – this does not state that the end of the world will occur!
Now, onto the pusher’s of Planet X, Nibiru.
The main person responsible for the popularization of the Planet X theories is a man named Zacheria Sitchen – a man who claims that ancient Sumerian seals proclaim that a planet known as Nibiru is on an elongated elliptical orbit around our solar system.
This planet passes between Mars and Jupiter and has caused catastrophic floods in the past, etc.
This planet, according to Mr. Sitchen, is also home to an alien race known as the Anunnaki.
According to Mr. Sitchen the Anunnaki are our creators. They made is in their image and after their likeness, etc.
They are very similar to us, some good, some evil, etc.
Mr. Sitchen is very liberal in his translations of ancient Sumerian Texts – often times adding his own insights as though they are fact when they are not.
My opinion on this type of subject(s) ranging from 2012 to Planet X: Fear Mongering Is VERY, VERY Profitable
Movies, books, web-subscriptions, games, organization dues, etc. People make money from fear.
Fear is like a virus, it infects everyone that comes into contact with it.
You must not fear any of these things.
Look at it this way: if it does happen then guess what: there is nothing we can do about it.
If it doesn’t happen we continue on as before.

Eduard--thanks for your observation about the movie 2012. I have not seen it but from your comment it sounds like it's another story using apocalyptic sensationalism much like horror films trivialize evil with the vampire theme. These movies could easily be part of satan's strategy to reduce the Truth of God's eternal plans to the level of entertainment. God bless, Botham

Why the hipe and the sensationalism behind 2012?
All these movies ,news items, and extra-biblical prophecies are hiped up to take away your attention of what is truly going on and that is REDEMPTION DRAWTH NIGH? If Satan can lure faithful Christians from their walk with Jesus then Satan stands to gain a bigger foothold of the world (or it seems that way).
After all that is said and done-
You either have to call upon Jesus before the rapture or your death or bow down by force at the Judgement seat outside of grace. If you call on Jesus with bended knees now before the ultimate Judgement Seat you will experience grace. However when its time for Satan and all his followers and cronies to do this, you will be forced to bow down and declare Jesus is Lord with all those who walk away for grace while they were alive on earth.
Its one way or the other!
