We are so quick to get upset over something like this, but not near as quick to share the gospel with the lost. We would rather fight over the ten commandments than to follow them. See, Jesus said that heaven and earth would pass away before one jot of His Fathers word. That tells me that the word is not in danger, but I believe the spreading of the word is in danger. If I remember right some people tried to destroy the word of God 2000 years ago by nailing it to a cross, but God raised it back up! I wish we would start fighting for souls and let God watch over His word. If we will be yoked to the living word then heaven and earth can pass away, but the word and all that is yoked to it will remain. I bet 90% of us have a copy of the word of God in our home and there's nobody trying to take it away from us (yet!) but it sets there drawing dust while we as a nation grow further away from the Lord. I'll just say this in closing, Jesus said that if the people didn't praise Him that the rocks would cry out and that is what has happened. We stopped praising the Lord ourselves and now we set back wanting rocks with the ten commandments stamped on them to do our jobs. I don't know about you, but I don't want a rock to have my blessing! So, I won't depend on a pledge, a judge, or a rock with the ten commandments on it to do what I was created to do! Place the word in your hearts because they can't take that away.

We have become a Nation obsessed with protecting our kids from Religion. How very sad, indeed!

Yes it is very sad and the ruling is not at all a good one. I pray the ruling gets overturned as it should be. The person who brought the case to court will one day regret his actions and I pray that he repents and accepts Jesus Christ before it's too late for him to do so. I pray the same for his children.

SAN FRANCISCO, California (AP) --

A federal judge declared the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance in public schools unconstitutional Wednesday in a case brought by the same atheist whose previous battle against the words "under God" was rejected by the U.S. Supreme Court on procedural grounds.

U.S. District Judge Lawrence Karlton ruled that the pledge's reference to one nation "under God" violates school children's right to be "free from a coercive requirement to affirm God."

Karlton, ruling in Sacramento, said he would sign a restraining order preventing the recitation of the pledge at the Elk Grove Unified, Rio Linda and Elverta Joint Elementary school districts, where the plaintiffs' children attend.
