Regarding volcanos and lava and sulfur, I currently think that the lake of fire will be just that, the crust of the earth opening back up all over the world, by the hand of the LORD God of Israel, and that way the whole earth will be renewed and that way the bornagain believers will walk upon the ashes of the wicked.
In the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah and Admah and Zeboiim, fire and sulfur (KJV: brimstone) rained down from the sky. An expedition in the Dead Sea discovered volcanic craters in the channel west of the Lisan peninsula in the Dead Sea. There are many balls of sulfur or brimstone embedded in the region of the Lisan peninsula.
In 1861, the Bakers discovered balls of lava laying on the ground in the Kush Nubian desert. Some were round and some were pear-shaped, with flattened bottomed. The smaller balls of lava had flow high into the sky, and because they were small, the smaller balls of lava hardened completely durling their descent, and so these smaller lava balls are perfectly round.
But the larger lava balls were not fully hardened during their descent, and so their bottoms were flattened.

But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone {sulfur} from heaven {Greek, ouranos, from the sky}, and destroyed them all.
The earth is still like those larger balls, it still has a liquid lava bore that in the days of the lake of fire, the LORD God of Israel will cause to come back up to the surface of the earth:
Isaiah 66:16
For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
Malachi 4
1 For, look, the day comes that shall burn like an oven; and all the proud, yes, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that comes shall burn them up, says the LORD of armies, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
2 But unto you who fear My name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in His wings; and you shall go forth and grow up as calves of the stall.
3 And you shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, says the LORD of armies.

Mega Volcano Threatens Sumatra Islands
“Volcanic ashes forced thousands of people in Sumatra Islands flea the active volcanic region, currently experiencing harmonic tremor and other signs of an eminent mega volcano in that region soon.
Recent series of volcanoes in the same area are alarming, and has made many geologists run to their computer model seeking clues and validation of facts.
Toba in Sumatra experienced the massive volcano of VEI 8.0 – super volcano 74,000 years back.
The deep Java trench marks the line where the Indo-Australian plate subducts, i.e. slips under, the section of the Eurasian plate on which Indonesia sits.
According to computer models, somewhere near Toba, another super volcano is getting ready for eruption. 3.1 mile sinking of Indo-Australian plate under the Eurasian Plate in the last 74,000 years has created enough magma for a super volcano.”
