Ok, I've figured out who he's talking to, it's me.

"N" - Middle East News (the link you're talking about) never gives the whole story unless you subscribe to their service. (Which I don't) If you want to subscribe to get the whole article that's up to you [Smile]

Israel plans strike on Iran nuclear plant

You'd be right if you weren't so wrong.

This article you've linked is not what i was talking about... I was addressing the rest of the topic article: http://www.menewsline.com/stories/2005/march/03_11_1.html

It is not the full item. there is nothing in your link that matches the words and phrases of the topic article, so they're obviously separate articles.

I just came back from partially reading your recent news reports on RaptureNews.com ( http://www.rapturenews.com/) When I was struck by these two stories. These are “Very Interesting” events:

http://neic.usgs.gov/neis/bulletin/neic_vpac.html
Magnitude 6.0 SOUTHEASTERN IRAN
Sunday, March 13, 2005 at 03:31:23 UTC

And Now:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/4344397.stm
Thousands flee after Iran floods

Sounds like the whole of Iran is experiencing some pretty bad diasters… One can only hope that one of these two events have caused Great Damage upon their Nuclear storage… I suppose time will tell.

I Love your Newsite Brother Ripp! Keep up the Good Watch! [thumbsup2]

Looks like Israel isn't the only nation preparing for war...

China's President Tells Army to Be Prepared for War

BEIJING (AP) - China's President Hu Jintao was named chairman of a government military commission on Sunday, capping a generational transfer of power, and told the 2.5 million-member People's Liberation Army to be prepared for war on the eve of the expected passage of a law authorizing an attack if Taiwan declares formal independence.

I too share your concern. It Could Very Well play out like this. It won't be a pleasant time, that's for certain! I also agree with the Urgency to reach the Lost before the time runs out. Perhaps these events unfolding like they are will help to soften the hearts of some and (according to God's Will) allow them to recieve the Truth that Jesus died for their sins and accept that sacrifice on their behalf [Smile]

Israel plans strike on Iran nuclear plant
Sharon's inner cabinet gives initial green light

Israel has drawn up contingency plans for a combined air and ground attack on targets in Iran if diplomacy fails to halt the Iranian nuclear program, according to a report in the Sunday London Times.

The inner cabinet of Ariel Sharon, the Israeli prime minister, gave "initial authorization" for an attack at a private meeting last month on his ranch in the Negev desert, according to the report.

Israeli forces reportedly have used a mock-up of Iran’s Natanz uranium enrichment plant in the desert for practice runs. Their tactics include raids by Israel’s elite Shaldag commando unit and airstrikes by F-15 jets from 69 Squadron, using bunker-busting bombs recently purchased from the U.S. to penetrate underground facilities.

The plans, said the Times, have been discussed with U.S. officials who are said to have indicated provisionally that they would not stand in Israel's way if all international diplomatic efforts to halt Iranian nuclear projects failed.

Tehran claims that its program is designed for peaceful purposes, but Israeli and American intelligence officials — who have met to share information in recent weeks — are convinced that it is intended to produce nuclear weapons.

Silvan Shalom, the Israeli foreign minister, said he believed that diplomacy was the only way to deal with the issue. But he warned: "The idea that this tyranny of Iran will hold a nuclear bomb is a nightmare, not only for us but for the whole world."

Vice President Dick Cheney said Friday that Iran would face "stronger action" if it failed to respond. But yesterday Iran rejected the initiative, which provides for entry to the World Trade Organization and a supply of spare parts for airliners if it co-operates.

"No pressure, bribe or threat can make Iran give up its legitimate right to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes," said an Iranian spokesman.

U.S. officials warned last week that a military strike on Iranian nuclear facilities by Israeli or American forces had not been ruled out should the issue become deadlocked at the United Nations.

Sis,

This has me VERY concerned. It has been reported that they have underground tunnels and installations where they plan to continue their nuclear program in case of an attack.

Now, what happens if Israel and/or the U.S. does not fully eliminate those facilities and their capabilities? Well, that is where it can get very messy can't it?

If they are not fully taken out, Iran and a lot of the world will be ready to jump at Israel. Especially if something goes wrong and there is nuclear fallout strewn across the Middle East.

And what will Syria and/or Russia do after these attacks? Will those "non-existent" WMD's poke their heads out of Syria? Well, it's easy to see how prophecy could unveil itself and soon.

The situation in the world today leads me to believe that we are very close to the beginning of the end. All you have to do is read the news on a daily basis to see how insane the world is becoming. And all it takes is ONE snowflake to start the snowball rolling.

When talking about end times, I like to ask people how long they think the world will survive as we currently know it. 50 years? 25? How about 10?

With so many problems that man has created, we are surely in need of a Savior. The earth today is like a rubber band that has been wound up too tight. Eventually it's going to unravel. I think that day is approaching quickly.

God bless and stay strong. [Bible] [Cross] [Prayer]

Yes, this is very true.

What I'm wondering is how such an attack might be successful - seeing that Iran has buried everything so deep underground to keep it safe?

Well first off, any news source can be dysfunctional, look at our own media. Makes no difference what name they have. [Wink]

Second, do you really think that Israel DOESN'T have plans for such an attack? I'm pretty sure they have had plans in place for quite some time. They made plans in 1981 for Iraq, and they will do the same here if nothing can be worked out politically. If Iran was Mexico, I'm pretty sure we would have plans in place and wait for the go-ahead. [Smile]

I would be SHOCKED if they didn't have a plan in place. This is their existence we are talking about. They believe that Iran will use these nukes if they get them. And I'm sure they or someone else would. To not have a plan in place to destroy these facilities, in light of what they did in 1981, would be thinking that Israel believes they have no need to worry about Iran and nuclear capabilities. I find that hard to believe. [Smile]

P.S. Could this be a false report? Yes, of course. But, I'm 100% sure they have plans in place, even if these aren't the official plans.

Be cautious here Bro. Note the name of the author of this 'report' "Uzi Mahnaimi." This has a very Arab sound to it, does it not? Also, throught the article he 'aludes' to things being reported, but he never gives a source. I question this. This COULD be just more propaganda to bring the worlds opinion against Israel (and the U.S.) even more.

It MIGHT be true... but then again, it might be something else...

This is huge. Will Iran or someone in the Middle East make a preemptive strike? Does Iran already have nukes, and if so will they use them or give them to terrorists? Will Syria launch a preemptive strike or one after the attacks on the facilities? Will chaos unfold in the Middle East following the attack?

Wow, so many possibilities, but it sure looks like prophecy being unveiled to me. I believe that this situation is going to explode(no pun intended [Big Grin] ).

Drew, thanks for putting that list of dates for the HHD's! I need to print that out. Unfortunately my computer went ::POOF:: AGAIN! I'm writing to you from my husbands laptop (again) LOL. I think my laptop is fatally allergic to Truth -

There does seem to be a huge correlation between 'significant events' and the Holy Days.

Amen Brother Eric!!

I wonder how many of Saddam's WMD are in Syrian hands? I wonder if perhaps the Middle East will reach such a breaking point, that one from the EU will step in, offer amazing inititives to both sides for "peace" and be well received and followed by both Israel and its enemies?

As has been the case so often since 1948, Israel will stand alone and persevere against far larger numbers of her enemies. In reviewing history, such as the Yom Kippur War, how often the enemies move-in during a Holy Day, and when Israel has let down her guard, like wolves at the door.

Perhaps intervention will come-in when the enemies are routed, like when Israel drove Egypt clear back across the Suez Canal, and Egypt went screaming for help to the UN.

The one who brings and delivers a viable peace offer is the one to watch for.

I talked recently with sister SoftTouch about the world situation and how we are on the verge of an explosion. Our military is spread thin right now and I believe eventually one of the rogue nations will take action. Whether it be China against Taiwan, North Korea against South Korea, or someone in the Middle East. Once this begins it could start a snowballing effect on the rest of the world. It's easy to see how close the end is. The stability of the world is in God's hands and His time is drawing near. Let us pray for the lost, time is short.

God bless and stay strong. [Bible] [Cross] [Prayer]

ISRAEL HEADS FOR WAR WITH SYRIA

TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Israel's military has been preparing for the increasing prospect of a war with Syria in a confrontation expected to include Iran and Hizbullah.

The General Staff has discussed an assessment by the military's Northern Command of an emerging threat from Syria and Hizbullah over the next year. Northern Command said a weakened Syria, under pressure from the United States to withdraw from Lebanon, was likely to approve an Iranian-Hizbullah campaign against Israel.

"We might have to fight those countries, which could drive them back a dozen years," Maj. Gen. Benny Gantz, chief of Northern Command, said. "We can drive Lebanon and Syria 50 years back. It's an option."

Gantz told the LIC-2005 conference on Wednesday that Hizbullah -- backed by Iran and Syria -- has become a strategic threat to Israel. He cited the 15,000 missiles and rockets deployed by Hizbullah along the Lebanese border with Israel and the Shi'ite organization's increasing support of Palestinian insurgency cells in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
