The Rome Statute makes it an international "crime against humanity" to cause "mental harm" or "persecution" against "any identifiable group" based on political, racial, national, ethnic, cultural, religious, and gender grounds...

Canada is no longer Canada. It has yielded its national soverignty to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. Canada is only getting its own laws to line up with the system of the New World Order.

And the world sleeps on...

I happen to be one of those Canadian's that by God's grace will stand for Him in trial's tribulation's. This whole gays marraiage situation here is really sad... the tail waging the dog. The gays would have us to believe that it is a normal thing and attempt to tell us that a large percentage of Canadian's have gay tendencies... Last week Moody radio reported a poll that suggested l or 2% are gay in Canada.

I just happen to see Swen's picture in the paper just this week, and he has been charged with theft of a diamond ring valued at over $5000.00 intertesting.

This has been posted before [URL=http://thechristianbbs.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=13;t=000543
] HERE [/URL] By David, in Christian News.

But it is still a very un-nerving subject.

They can block our E-mails going into their country, as well, as our Web pages, and such. Thus they would separate their people from our because of our “majority” religion. If nothing else, they will separate our “Christian” body from their body.

Tyme.

You're right of course, and I shouldn't have been so flip about the Church in Canada. There are solid Christian brothers and sisters in Canada who are fighting the spiritual battle as well as the political one; they do need our prayers.

We should pray that this does not happen. If this does, then preachers could be arrested for preaching the word of God. Just because it is not us, does not mean that we should be concerened about fellow believers.

Two thoughts...
First, the First Amendment right of free speech is an American (as in USA) thing, and other countries do not have such a guarantee. I may have missed it since I've spent very little time studying Canadian law, but I don't think freedom of religion or freedom of speech are guaranteed in any form or fashion by the Canadian constitution or by any Canadian law that would require even a super majority to overturn. Of course, I hope someone will correct me if I am wrong in whole or in part. I guess my point is that this does not translate well into a USA legislative issue, although our more liberal courts have allowed Canadian and other foreign court decisions in case law arguments.

Second, this won't bother most of the United churches in Canada anyway, and many others already refuse to preach against sin. It will be a non-issue except for the few evangelicals whom the Canadian government has been trying to shut down for years anyway.

Dan

The un-elected Senate of Canada is expected to rubberstamp a controversial private members’ bill that has already been pushed through the House of Commons.

Bill C-250 would add criticism of homosexuals and homosexual lifestyles to the “hate” section of the Criminal Code.

The bill was conceived by B.C. NDP MP Svend Robinson, who has enjoyed a checkered past during his 25 years in Parliament.

He is perhaps most famous for a motion urging that the word “God” be removed from the Canadian Constitution.

Calgary Roman Catholic Bishop Fred Henry is blunt about his fears:

“What is troubling is the possibility that someone who finds the expression of the Christian’s beliefs on the sexual conduct of homosexual persons too blunt or too harsh will invoke the Criminal Code to silence the teaching.”

Liberal Senator Anne Cools worries the bill will lead to “criminal witch hunts” and is based on the false premise that people are committing hate crimes against gays with impunity.

“This bill, in a funny kind of way, is attempting to censor — to cleanse Canadians of their moral opinions about many homosexual practices,” she said.

The Liberal government has insisted that the law provides a specific defence for a religious opinion expressed in good faith.

The defence, while intended to ensure religious freedom, likely won’t deter those bent on preventing churches from preaching that homosexuality is morally wrong.

After all, if individuals like Robinson, who is Canada’s first openly gay MP, find even the word “God” in the Constitution offensive, what is the likelihood they won’t try to stamp out what they perceive as anti-gay religious teachings?

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Romans 1:
21: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22: Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23: And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24: Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26: For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28: And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29: Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30: Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31: Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

2 Peter 2:

12: But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
13: And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;
14: Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:
15: Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
16: But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb *** speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.
17: These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.
18: For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
19: While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
20: For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
21: For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
22: But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
