I don't know about you, but it is easy for me to become discouraged. It often seem
that as a Christian we have a constant struggle. From physical, finacial, and even
emotioally it seems the Christian is in an on going attack. Although every Christian
looks forward to Heaven. We often overlook how wonderful it will be and what a
great honor it will be to even be there. Take for instance: Most every American no
matter what our political association, if we were to be invited to a tea at the
WHitehouse, we would be estatic. Not only that but for the rest of our life everyone
taked to would hear about the day we had tea in the Whitehouse. But as nice as that
would be in pales in the honor we as a Christian look forward to. We have been invited
to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. This is not a mere leader of a Country, but the
one who made everything we know on earth. We will be sharing the table with Abraham,
Paul and John. The who's list makes any event seem like nothing when compared.
So when we are feeling discouraged we should think of the wonderful pleasures we have
to look forward to. David tells us in Psalms to comfort ourselves with the Word of God.
We sometimes need to have a pep rally for ourselves. We may never be invited to tea
at the Whitehouse, but we have been invited to supper with our Heavenly Father.
I pray that the Lord will encourage you today in His grace and love.
