Mark 9:
1 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.
2 And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.
3 And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.
4 And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.
5 And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
6 For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid.
7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
8 And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.
9 And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.

This passage is referred to as the "transfiguration of Christ", when the Lord was transformed before his disciples into a glimpse of Glory. It was also the time when He appeared with Moses who represents the Law, and Elijah who represents the Prophets, all of which pointed to and were confirmed in the Person of Jesus of Nazareth, God manifest in the flesh and dwelling among men.

And his raiment became shining:
With the rays of glory and brightness which darted from his body through his clothes, and made them as bright as the light of the sun at noon day: and exceeding white as snow; than which nothing is whiter Just as the Israelites could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses, because of the glory of his countenance, when he came down from the mount.

The mountaintop, and the glory of God shining through, enveloping and permeating from out of the Lord Jesus Christ, just as as the glory of God shone forth from Moses when He came down from mountain bringing the Law.

Beloved we too experience our mountaintop's of faith and glory, when we experience the overwhelming love, joy, peace, majesty, grandeur of the Lord God, and it shines through our soul and radiates through every fiber of our being. Joy unspeakable and filled with Glory!!!!!!

I was thinking of Brother Peter, and how he had witnessed this vision of transformation, and the Voice from the cloud which spoke, "This is my beloved Son, hear Him". Yet after all of this confirmation, in his own flesh Peter would deny the Lord three times at his arrest and trail.

The mountaintop and the valley of trail, and yet what a transformation within Brother Peter, on the Day of Pentecost, when God the Holy Spirit would come and indwell the Church, the Body of Christ. From the Valley of Trial, Peter would stand up and boldly proclaim the Majesty of Jesus of Nazareth, the Lord Jesus Christ, in the very heart of enemy territory.

Like the Children of Israel who witnessed the power of God in the transformation of Moses. Like the disciples who witnessed the transformation of Christ with the confirmation spoken directly from the very Throne of God, we can experience the mountaintop of emotional manifestation, but in our own power we cannot endure during the Valley of Trial.

When one is born-again the heart is truly open and God the Holy Spirit enters in and transforms the soul. The gifts of the Holy Spirit produce spiritual fruit which are:
Galations 5:
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Ephesians 2:
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

I am reminded of the Hall of Faith in Hebrews 11, and faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen. It was by faith that the elders received a good report. It was not the experiential, what was seen and witnessed which enabled one to stand fast through persecution and trail, but faith internal and a gift of God which enabled endurance.

Dearly Beloved of the Lord God, may we open our hearts to the Lord Jesus Christ, may we invite Him in this day to become Lord of our hearts, to transform our soul, and to become Lord of Lords and King of Kings over every aspect of our lives. We can glory in the mountaintops, and when He is within us we will be able to stand and pass through the Valley of Trail with faith intact and the Blessed assurance that He will never leave nor forsake us, and that nothing will ever separate us from the love of God through Christ Jesus our Lord.
