Where in the Word did God command Noah to keep the Sabbath?

Where in the Word did God command Abraham, Issac, Jacob, Joseph, Job to keep the Sabbath?

NOWHERE!!!!!!!!

The Sabbath was instituted through the Mosaic covenant for the Jews.

Neither was the Sabbath commanded at the Jerusalem establishment of the commands for the Gentile Believers.

Acts 15:
4: And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.
5: But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.
6: And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.
7: And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
8: And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
9: And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
10: Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
11: But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
12: Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.
13: And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:
14: Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
15: And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
16: After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
17: That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
18: Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
19: Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
20: But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
21: For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
22: Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:
23: And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:
24: Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:
25: It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
26: Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
27: We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.
28: For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;
29: That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

The worship pattern given to Israel was designed especially for them. God gave the Israelites, through Moses, a worship pattern designed to enable them to respond in celebration to what God had done for them in delivering them from Egypt and bringing them into the Promised Land.

Christian worship does not require observances based on ancient Israelās experience with God, but responds instead to the gospel. We might say by analogy that the "new wine" of the gospel is to be poured into "new wineskins" (Matthew 9:17). The "old wineskin" of the old covenant was not made to hold the new wine of the gospel (Hebrews 12:18-24).

The worship pattern given to Israel was designed especially for them. God gave the Israelites, through Moses, a worship pattern designed to enable them to respond in celebration to what God had done for them in delivering them from Egypt and bringing them into the Promised Land.

Christian worship does not require observances based on ancient Israelā€™s experience with God, but responds instead to the gospel. We might say by analogy that the "new wine" of the gospel is to be poured into "new wineskins" (Matthew 9:17). The "old wineskin" of the old covenant was not made to hold the new wine of the gospel (Hebrews 12:18-24).

New forms

Israelite worship was for Israel. It lasted until Christ came. Now Gods people worship in new forms that reflect their response to new content the transcendent new thing God has done in Jesus Christ. Christian worship is geared around the rehearsal of and participation in the body and blood of Jesus Christ. Its key components include:

1. The Lords Supper, also called Eucharist (or thanksgiving) and Communion, which was commanded by Christ.

2. Reading of Scripture, through which we rehearse and review the record of Gods love and promises, especially his promise of the Savior, Jesus Christ, and through which we are nourished with the Word of God.

3. Prayer and song, through which we make our petitions to God in faith, repent of our sins in humility, and honor, praise and give him thanks in joyful and grateful adoration.

Focused on content

Christian worship is focused primarily on content and meaning, rather than primarily on form or time. Therefore, Christian worship is not limited to any day of the week or to any particular season of the year. Nor is any day or season commanded or required of Christians. However, Christians are free to, and normally do, set aside special seasons to celebrate major aspects of the life and work of Jesus.

Christians also set aside one day a week for corporate worship, that is, for gathering together as the Body of Christ to worship God. Most Christians set aside Sunday for such worship. Some Christians set aside Saturday. A few choose to meet at other times, such as Wednesday evening.

Typical of seventh-day sabbatarian teaching is the belief that it is a sin for Christians to use Sunday as their regular day of gathering for worship. However, there is no biblical support for this idea.

Major events on Sunday

Surprising to many seventh-day sabbatarians, the Gospel accounts specifically pinpoint events of major importance as having taken place on Sunday. As we shall see, even though there is no command that Christians worship on Sunday, there is certainly no reason for Christians to feel uncomfortable with worshiping on Sunday.

Johns Gospel tells us that disciples of Jesus came together on the first Sunday after Jesus was crucified, and that Jesus appeared among them (John 20:1). All four Gospels tell us that Jesus was first discovered to have been raised from the dead on early Sunday morning (Matthew 28:1; Mark 16:2; Luke 24:1; John 20:1).

All four Gospel writers considered it significant enough to mention that these events occurred at a particular time Sunday. They could have left that detail out, but they did not. The Gospels declare that Jesus chose to reveal himself as the resurrected Messiah on Sunday, first in the morning, then in the afternoon, and finally in the evening. Not only did these Sunday appearances of the risen Jesus cause the Gospel writers no concern or alarm, they chose to make it plain that these things took place on that particular day of the week.

Road to Emmaus

If there is any question about which day the resurrection occurred on, consider the plain testimony of Lukeā€™s account of the two men on the road to Emmaus. Jesus had prophesied that he would be raised from the dead on "the third day" (Luke 9:22; 18:33; 24:7).

Luke records plainly that Sunday, the day on which the women discovered that Jesus tomb was empty, was in fact "the third day." He makes the point that the women discovered that Jesus was raised on Sunday morning (Luke 24:1), then makes the point that "the same day" (24:13), Sunday, was "the third day" (24:21), the day Jesus had said he would be raised (24:7).

Lets review certain key facts that the Gospel writers were inspired to record about the first Sunday after the crucifixion of Jesus:

1. Jesus was raised from the dead (Luke 24:1-8, 13, 21).

2. Jesus was recognized in the "breaking of the bread" (Luke 24:30-31, 34-35).

3. The disciples were meeting together, and Jesus came to be with them (Luke 24:15, 36; John 20:1, 19). John also records that on the second Sunday after the crucifixion, the disciples were again meeting, and that Jesus again came to be with them (John 20:26).

In the early church

Luke recorded in Acts 20:7 that Paul spoke to the church in Troas when it assembled on Sunday to "break bread." In 1 Corinthians 16:2, Paul told the church in Corinth, as he had told the churches in Galatia (v. 1), to use every Sunday for setting aside an offering for the famine-stricken Jerusalem church.

Paul does not say that the church must meet on Sunday. His statement here does, however, seem to indicate that Sunday meetings were not extraordinary. The reason he gives for the weekly offering was so that "when I come no collections will have to be made" (v. 2). If the members had been setting aside the money each Sunday at home, rather than giving it each week at a meeting, then a collection would still need to have been taken when Paul came.

The natural reading of these passages shows us that it was not unusual for Christians to meet on Sunday, nor was it unusual for them to "break bread" together (a term Paul associates with the Lords Supper; see 1 Corinthians 10:16-17) during their Sunday meetings.

As we can see, the inspired writers of the New Testament deliberately inform us that Jesus was raised on Sunday. They also had no qualms about the fact that at least some believers gathered on Sunday to break bread. While Christians are not commanded to gather for worship on Sunday, these examples show that there is no reason to have any qualms about doing so.

Potential pitfalls

As we have seen, there are sound reasons for the Christian practice of gathering on Sunday as the body of Christ to commune with God. So then, must Christians meet on Sunday? No. Christian faith is not based on days, but on faith in God and his Son, Jesus Christ.

It would be a mistake to merely exchange one set of "commanded" days for another. Christian faith and worship is not about commanded days, but about knowing and loving God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

The Seventh Day Adventists declare Sunday observance to be the mark of the beast. Have you become involved with that cult Barry?

The First Sabbath Observance by man, in the Word:

Exodus 16:
23: And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.
24: And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein.
25: And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a sabbath unto the LORD: to day ye shall not find it in the field.
26: Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none.
27: And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none.
28: And the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?
29: See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.
30: So the people rested on the seventh day.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The weekly sabbath ended at the cross. Paul specifically says this. In the letter to the Colossians he confirms it to us. In Chapter 2, beginning with Verse 13, he says,

And you, who were dead in trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, having canceled the bond which stood against us with its legal demands; this he set aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the principalities and powers and made a public example of them, triumphing over them in it [not him; it, the cross].

Therefore, let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a sabbath. These are only a shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ. (Colossians 2:13-17)

That should make it clear. This is why the claims of the Seventh Day Adventists, the Seventh Day Baptists, and other groups, that Christians changed the sabbath, are absurd, ridiculous. They claim that the Pope changed the sabbath by a papal edict from Saturday to Sunday, and that around the third or fourth century Christians began to celebrate Sunday rather than Saturday, out of obedience to this papal edict. But nothing could be further from the truth. History does not corroborate that in any degree. The Sabbath has always been Saturday and it always will be. It is the seventh day of the week. Sunday has always been the first day of the week. It has never been a sabbath, and it is pure legalism to call it a sabbath or to treat it as one. It is not a day of rest or restricted activity and it is not designed as such. It is the first day of the week; to Christians, the Lord's day.

The shadow-sabbath ended at the cross, as Paul has made clear. The next day was the day of resurrection, the day when the Lord Jesus came from the tomb. On that day a new day began -- the Lord's day. Christians immediately began to observe the Lord's day on the first day of the week. They ceased observing the Sabbath because it was ended by the fulfillment of its reality in the cross, and they began to observe the first day of the week. This is what you find reflected in the book of Acts. Justin Martyr, who writes from the 2nd century, says,

But Sunday is the day on which we all hold our common assembly, because it is the first day on which God, when he changed the darkness and matter, made the world; and Jesus Christ, our Savior, on the same day, rose from the dead.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

God has made a couple of everlasting covenants with Abraham and the Children of Israel:

Genesis 17:
7: And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
8: And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.
9: And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.
10: This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.

Exodus 31:
16: Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
17: It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

The everlasting covenant was between God and the children of Israel.

The Lord's Day is the day when Jesus arose from the dead. The Tomb was discovered empty on the First day of the week.

Believers came together and broke bread on the first day of the week:

Acts 20:
7: And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.
8: And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together.
9: And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.
10: And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him.
11: When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed.
12: And they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted.

The Law was our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ but we are no longer under a schoolmaster:

Gal. 3:
24: Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25: But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
26: For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27: For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28: There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29: And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Do not place the yoke of bondage of the Law upon the neck of the Believer.

Gal. 5:
1: Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
2: Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
3: For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
4: Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
5: For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
6: For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

The Commandments of Christ:
1 John 3:
22: And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
23: And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
24: And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

Matt. 22:
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Jesus is our Sabbath rest 24/7. Indeed I worship my LORD on the Sabbath, and on the Lord's Day, and on Tues. through Friday.

Revelation 13:16

And he causeth all. both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in the forehead.

Who will be protected through the seven last plagues?

Revelation 7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

NOTE: Those who receive God's seal in their foreheads will be protected during the plagues (psalm 91:7-11).

What is this "seal" the righteous have in their foreheads?

Isaiah 8:16 Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.

NOTE: God's seal is found in His law. A seal is what makes a document official, and it normally contains three characteristics: Name, Office, and Territory. An example would be "Cyrus king of Persia" in Ezra 1:1.

Which of the Ten Commandments contains all the elements of a seal?

Exodus 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is ,

The fourth commandment is the only one that contains all three elements of a seal:

"The Lord" - His name
"Made" - His office as creator
"Heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is" - His Territory.
Example: United State of America

1. "Bush" - His name

2. "President" - Office

3. "United States of America" His Territory

What has God given as a special sign of His power?

Ezekiel 20:12 I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them.

Ezekiel 20:20 Hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God.

Exodus 31:13 Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.

NOTE: God clearly states that He gave the Sabbath as a sign of His power to create and sanctify. It is His seal, or mark of authority. The words "seal," "sign,"mark," and "token" are used interchangeable throughout the Bible (compare Genesis 17:11 with Romans 4:11 and Revelation 7:3 with Ezekiel 9:4).

What does the second beast of Revelation 13 force all to receive?

Revelation 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

What is the mark of the beast?

NOTE: We identified the first beast of Revelation 13. So what is its mark power and authority? Well lets ask the papacy directly. Notice the following section from a Catholic catechism:

"Q. Which is the Sabbath day?

"A. Saturday is the Sabbath day.

"Q. Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday?

"A. We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday." 1

Here Is another statement from a Catechism:

"Q. Have you any other way of proving that the Church has power to institute festivals of precept?

"A. Had she not such power, could not have done that in which all modern religionists agree with her-she could not have substituted the observance of Sunday the first day of the week, for the observance of Saturday the seventh day, a change for which there is no Scriptural authority."2

So the papacy is saying that its mark of power and authority is making Sunday a holy day-a change that virtually the entire Christian world accepts.

1 Peter Geiermann, The Convert's Catechism of the Catholic Doctrine(St. Louis: B Herder Book Co., 1957 edition), p 50.

2 Stephen Keenan, A Doctrinal Catechism (New York: P.J. Kenedy & Sons, third American edition, revised, n.d.), p. 174

Is either the mark of the beast or the seal of God visible?

Hebrews 10:16 saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might

Exodus 13:9 And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the LORD' law may be in thy mouth:

Isaiah 59:6 Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.. ..their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.

NOTE: Neither the mark of the beast of the seal of God is outwardly visible. The forehead represents the mind, and the hand is a symbol of work. "On the hand" and "between the eyes" are consistent symbols in Scripture for a person's thoughts and actions (Exodus 13:16; Deuteronomy 6:8; 11:18). A person will receive the mark of the beast in his forehead by choosing to believe that Sunday is a holy day in spit of Bible truth. A person will be marked in the right hand by working on God's sabbath or by outwardly keeping Sunday laws for convenient reasons-such as a job, family, etc. Although the sign is invisible to men, God will know who has which mark (2 Timothy 2:19). In a sence, each person will mark himself. If I respect and regard God's holy Sabbath, He will mark ma as His own. If I regard the Beast's false Sabbath, He will mark me as belonging to the beast.

Does anyone have the mark of the beast now?

Revelations 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

NOTE: No person has the mark now. When it becomes a forced issue, only those who have received the mark of the beast will be able to buy or sell. At that time, people who keep God's holy Sabbath will do so at the risk of their lives Revelation 13:15), and those who choose to profane His holy day and officially cast their votes by placing the laws of men above the law of God will be marked as belonging to Antichrist. All who are loyal to Jesus abd His holy day will receive Jesus' glorious seal, thus making them His forever. Those who try to remain neutral will be counted for Antichrist (Matthew 12:30).

What two things does the Antichrist power attempt to change?

Daniel 7:25 He shall...think to change times and laws

NOTE: Daniel 7 reveals an Old Testement description of the Antichrist power. It clearly predicts that the beast would attempt to change both God's laws and times. The papacy has tried to change God's laws by:

omitting the second commandment against veneration of images.
shortening the forth commandment from 94 words to just 8 in order to avoid mentioning which day is the Sabbath
dividing the tenth commandment into two commandments.
The papacy attempted to change God's times by:

teaching people to recognize the first day of the week as the sabbath instead of the seventh day.
adopting the pagan Roman practice of beginning each day at midnight instead of sundown.

"Sunday... It is a law of the Catholic Church alone..." Amarican Sentinal (Catholic) June 1893

"...the observance of Sunday by the Protestants is an homage they pay, inspite of themselves, to the authority of the Catholic Church." Monsignor Louis Segar, Plain Talk about the Protestantism of Today. P. 213

"Reason and common sense demand the acceptance of One or the other of these alternatives: either Protestantism and the keeping holy of Saturday, or Catholicity and the keeping holy of Sunday. Compromise is impossible. "The Catholic Mirror. December 23. 1893."

"Sunday is therefore to this day the acknowledged offspring of the Catholic Church, as spouse of the Holy Ghost, without a word of remonstrance from the Protestant world." Editorial, The Catholic Mirror (Baltimore). September 23. 1893.

"You may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, A day which we never sanctify." (Cardinal Gibbons, The Faith of our Fathers - 92nd ed.rev. Baltmore, John Murphy Company, p. 89.

"Of course the Catholic Church claims that the Change was her act...And the act is a MARK of her ecclesiastical power and authority in religious matters." Letter, Oct. 28, 1895, from C. F. Thomas, Chancellor of Cardinal Gibbons

*"Sunday is our mark of authority...The church is above the Bible, and this transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact." Catholic Record. September 1, 1923

What was God's criticism of His ancient priests, or pastors?

Malachi 2:8, 9 Ye have caused many to stumble at the law. ...Ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in law.

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowldge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten that law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

NOTE: God is still hurt when His pastors are partial to eight or nine commandments and cause many to stumble over His command to keep the Sabbath holy. Virtually all churches admit in their official writings that there is no Scripture support for Sunday sacredness. Tragically, both Protstantism and Catholicism stand guilty before the judgment bar of God for throwing out the Bible Sabbath! God Himself gave the Sabbath as a sign, or mark, of His power to create and His pthis sacred sign, which represents the great God of power to sanctify and save (Exodus 31:17, Ezekiel 20:12). Dare any man tamper with this sacred sign, which represents the great God of heaven and all that He stands for.

How did God's ancient leaders regard the great things of His law?

Hosea 8:12 I have written to him the great things of my law, but they were counted as a strange thing.

NOTE: Times have not changed. God has placed the Sabbath, His great sign, in the middle of His law and begins that commandment with the word "remember." Yet many people today feel that keeping His seventh-day Sabbath is a strange thing.

What specific, solemn rebuke did God give to religious leaders regarding His holy sabbath?

Ezekiel 22:8 Thou hast despised mine holy things, and hast profaned my sabbaths.

Ezekiel 22:26 Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

NOTE: God pointedly rebukes religious leaders who say that the Sabbath doesn't matter and who claim "Thus saith the Lord" when it is not true.

What specific sin does God command His leaders to denounce?

Isaiah 58:1, 13, 14 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression. ...If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable. ...Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD.

NOTE: God charges spiritual leaders to call Sabbath-breaking a sin and to insist that His people keep His Sabbath day holy. As with the disciples of old, our only safty is in obeying God rather then man (Acts 5:29).

When you decide to accept Jesus and fully follow Him, what happens?

Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

NOTE: Glorious rest and peace enter heart at conversion. The Sabbath, which means "rest," is a symbol of the rest and peace that comes from the new birth (Hebrews 4:1-10). Those who are truly born again will keep the Sabbath as a blessed sign of that rest (notice verse 4, 9, 10). There is no joy like the joy that comes to a converted person who keeps God's Sabbath holy.

Before you can say "no" to the mark of the beast, you must say "yes" to the seal of God. Jesus is waiting at the door of your heart for an answer. Take the Rome Challenge @ www.immaculateheart.com/maryonline.com and decide to follow truth and decide now to move under His glorious Sabbath banner as evidence that you have accepted Him as your Creator and saviour?
