That's a cute picture [Big Grin]

--------------------
With you I rise,
In you I sleep,
kneeling down I kiss your feet,
Grace abounds upon me now,
I once was lost
but now I'm found.
The gift of God dwells within,
To this love I now give in.

As I read this post I couldn’t help but think: This is a good description of the holy nature bestowed upon us by the grace of God once we accept Jesus Christ into our life.

This is a very good post for several reasons – one of them being that we should set a good example for others to follow.

The Holy Bible is very adamant about producing good fruit; and as we are the fruit of Christianity, people will judge Christianity based upon what they see us doing.

How would someone ever want to be a part of a group that worried all the time, was sad, mad, troubled, etc.?

They wouldn’t…..

Instead we should not worry (as much as we can) and pray – giving thanks unto God for all he has done – and last, but not least, set a good example for others to follow. Letting our light shine upon the mountain for all to see.

Great post, Carol.

God Bless

Let Everyone See That You Are Considerate

Philippians 4:5-9

5 Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.

6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. 9 Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.

My servant Paul closes this portion with the admonition to believers that they should practice the things that they have learned, received, heard and seen in him. And you will notice as you look carefully that those things which he emphasizes in this portion involve the conduct, the prayer life, the emotional state, and the thought life of believers. As you consider the scope of what he commends in this brief passage, you can see that they include all aspects of your life as a believer. And Paul is confident that he not only has taught these things to them, but that he has manifested them in the way that he has lived. This means that they need not be uncertain about what he teaches and admonishes because he has modeled it before them. And I say to you, My son and My daughter, that if you truly embrace in your hearts the things that are commended here, then you also will not only be able to teach and admonish others to live this way, but you will be an example before them of what you teach and commend. And surely it is only as you manifest forbearance, as you have the kind of prayer life that guards against anxiety and produces peace, as you have a mind filled with good thoughts and practice what you have learned and received and heard that you will be able like Paul to add to those whom you teach and admonish that they have seen these things manifested in your lives. And also you shall have the testimony that I have been with you, by declaring that I, the God of peace, will be with those who practice these things. Paul is not saying that My presence will be withdrawn if they should fall short in their practice, but he is rather saying that My presence with them will be experienced in such a way as to sustain and uphold them in the outworking of these good things. As such they shall know the joy of My presence and the great peace that it brings. If indeed you truly set your heart upon these and take them very seriously as what you desire to live out, then you shall not only know My peace, but you will have the exceeding joy of spreading it to others. In these days when there is much teaching and many strong verbal affirmations of the truth, but a large gap between that and actual consistent conduct, which My servant Paul is declaring here, it is critically important to bring profession and practice together. Let it be so with you.
