Oh what a Beautiful Savior!

~To Him That is able to keep you from falling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy...to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.~ Jude 24

No failure occurred in the Redeemer’s love. Our Savior stripped Himself of all His glories and by a thousand self-denials proved His love. But the most convincing evidence was given when He gave up His life for us. “Hereby perceive we the love of God,” says the Apostle John, “because He laid down His life for us.” As if John passed by everything else which the Son of God had done for us and put his finger upon His death and said, “Hereby we perceive the love of God towards us.” It was majestic love that made the Lord Jesus lay aside, “His attire and rings of light,” and lend their glory to the stars. He stripped off His azure mantle and hung it on the sky and then come down to earth to wear the poor, mean garments of our flesh and blood—in which to toil and labor like ourselves. But the masterpiece of love was when He would even put off the garment of His flesh and yield Himself to the superlative agonies of death by crucifixion!

He could go no further. Self-abnegation had achieved its utmost. He could deny Himself no more when He denied Himself leave to live.

That particular part of scripture has always toutched my heart.

I think that it is a very wonderful verse and signifies how much God loves as, as he laid down his own life that we may live and be with him forevermore.

God Bless,

Thanks for sharing,

Mentor

With you I rise,
In you I sleep,
kneeling down I kiss your feet,
Grace abounds upon me now,
I once was lost
but now I'm found.
The gift of God dwells within,
To this love I now give in.

Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

— John 15:13 (NIV)

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

Words communicate and explain. We can tell people that we love them. We can explain how precious they are to us. Actions validate and confirm. When we sacrifice our preferences for another, we show our respect and affection. When we sacrifice ourselves, our wishes, and our preferences for a friend, we give the greatest of all gifts and prove our love beyond any doubt.

My Prayer...

Father, thank you for loving me enough to send Jesus as a ransom for my sins. Jesus, thank you for your loving sacrifice that not only saves me, but shows me the full extent of your love.

In Jesus' name I thank you.

Amen.
