Matthew 21
28 But what do you think? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first son, and said, Son, go work today in my vineyard.

29 But he answered and said, I will not: but later he repented, and went.

30 And he came to the second son, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I will go, sir: but he went not.

31 Which of these two did the will of his father? And they said to him, The first son. Then Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you, that the publicans and harlots will go into the kingdom of God before you.

Proverbs 10:8 (NIV)

I think this was a very good post.

Not only does this post relate to our relationship with God -- The Almighty -- but it also reflects our work ethic and many other aspects of our daily lives.

We can chatter amongst ourselves when we receive a command -- complaining about it, and belly aching about it -- or we can follow the command without question and prosper.

This was a very very good post.

Thank you for sharing it with us WildB.

With you I rise,
In you I sleep,
kneeling down I kiss your feet,
Grace abounds upon me now,
I once was lost
but now I'm found.
The gift of God dwells within,
To this love I now give in.

The wise in heart accept commands, but a chattering fool comes to ruin.

— Proverbs 10:8 (NIV)

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

When you hear a command from Scripture, do you wince? How about rationalize? How about transferring the responsibility to someone else? Or, do you obey the command to honor the Father? A wise heart accepts the commands of God as a blessing and a safeguard. A fool finds a way around the personal application of the command. Let's ask ourselves honestly, "Which of the two am I?"

My Prayer...

Precious and Gracious God, my Heavenly Father, thank you for loving me enough to show me your truth and your commands. Please use my obedience to form your character in me and to make my example to be a good influence over those you have placed in my life.

In Jesus' name I pray.

Amen.

That is all.....
