God bless you (((Sis))))!!!

It was one I felt led to write for my FaceBook wall this morning, when I got up at 4:00 with the Lord, and then I thought I would share with each of the Christian Forums, I am on and or moderate.

God bless each of you.

Matthew 8:
23 And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.
24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.
25 And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.
26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
27 But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

Oh Beloved how the storms of life can assault us, how they can make our frail imperfect vessel be buffeted back and forth, and at times it can feel like its going to sink and go under!!! How often the pain and anguish of loss and heartache seems so overwhelming and we feel like we cannot take one more step. It hurts so much to even try to get out of bed in the morning, let alone face what the day brings.

My heart contains no pat-answers no easy solutions. If I could reach out and give the hurting a big old hug, and make the pain all go away I sure would without a moment's hesitation.

As Believers we have placed our faith and trust in Jesus of Nazareth, God manifest in the flesh, Through the Holy Spirit of God He dwells within our hearts 24/7, the Lord Jesus Christ is as close as the very next breath we take, the next beat of our wounded heart. As with the fishermen on that stormy sea of so long ago, the Master is on-board, the One who speaks to the storm, "Peace be still".

In Philippians 4 we read:
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Through the storms of life our frail vessel will sail but the Master has said that He will never leave nor forsake us. In Hebrews 13 the Word declares that He is the same yesterday, today and forever:
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

The Word declares in the last verses of Romans 8 that there is nothing which can ever separate the Believer from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. As we prepare to begin this new day. As we steer our frail vessel upon the uncharted seas ahead, may we ask the Lord to take the tiller, to steer the rudder, to speak to the storms assaulting our heart and to let Him speak to us and say, "Peace be still".
