Psalms 139:1 Lord, Thou hast searched me, and known me.
My treasures are few, but you understand.
2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, Thou understandest my thought afar off.
No where is there a love like yours anywhere.
3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, And art acquainted with all my ways.
To scrutinise my actions encourages satisfaction.
4 For there is not a word in my tongue, But, lo, O Lord, Thou knowest it altogether.
My tongue is my rudder to follow your course.
5 Thou hast beset me behind and before, And laid thy hand upon me.
From and to all places you are there for me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain unto it.
You said it, you did it, it is done, Amen.
7 Whither shall I go from Thy spirit? Or whither shall I flee from Thy presence?
Neither of which I choose in my heart.
8 If I ascend up into heaven, Thou art there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, Thou art there.
Without your presense I would be nothing.
9 If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
There is no escaping you Lord,
10 Even there shall Thy hand lead me, And Thy right hand shall hold me.
Your literal guidance is a blessed thing.
11 If I say "Surely the darkness shall cover me; Even the night shall be light about me.
My darkness shall serve little with you Lord.
12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from Thee; But the night shineth as the day; The darkness and the light are both alike to Thee,
Who can become lost or hidden with you Lord.
13 For thou hast possessed my reins; Thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
I am woven together and guided by your hand.
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvellous are Thy works; And that my soul knoweth right well.
There is none other capable of your miracles.
15 My substance was not hid from Thee, When I was made in secret, And curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
Since Adam you have included me in your plan.
16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; And in Thy book all my members were written, Which in continuance were fashioned, When as yet there was none of them.
Within in my mother at conseption you saw my soul increase as in your plan that was before.
17 How precious also are Thy thoughts unto me, O GOD ! How great is the sum of them !
Your desires for me I wish to offer unto you.

Well, I must go now. Will attempt to finish the rest of the psalm later.

Hugs

I love this Psalm (Psalm 139) and I just wanted to share my thoughts and want yours too.

1 O LORD, you have searched me
and you know me.

2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.

He knows what I am gonna do before I do it...He knows what I'm gonna think in my little thoughts next hour, next week and in 10 years? Hmmm...be careful what comes across the thinking?

3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.

4 Before a word is on my tongue
you know it completely, O LORD.

This is an excellent zipper for my mouth (now if I can adjust a zipper to my keyboard)

5 You hem me in—behind and before;
you have laid your hand upon me.

6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.

7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?

8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, [a] you are there.

We aint getting away! Jonah was good proof of this. I have sludged about in fish belly jelly myself. Not fun.

9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,

10 even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.

Precious to me is His faithfulness! He keeps us.

11 If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,"

12 even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.

13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.

This is amazing to me. We are hand crafted.

14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,

16 your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

17 How precious to [b] me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!

I look at my flaws often. He looks down with love knowing that there is a finished work to this highly imperfect child of His.

18 Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand.
When I awake,
I am still with you.

Day and night, through the good times and bad, in error or walking in light...He never leaves us. This Lord just never gives up on us.

19 If only you would slay the wicked, O God!
Away from me, you bloodthirsty men!

20 They speak of you with evil intent;
your adversaries misuse your name.

21 Do I not hate those who hate you, O LORD,
and abhor those who rise up against you?

22 I have nothing but hatred for them;
I count them my enemies.

23 Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.

Please help my anxious thoughts Lord.

24 See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.

~To Him That is able to keep you from falling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy...to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.~ Jude 24
