Daniel when I witness to people who choose not to hear the Word even when they see it written in the Word of God is just pray "Lord help them to see and learn the truth." Once you have planted the seed (the Word) you have done what you are suppose to do. My mind always goes back to this verse in Mark 6:11 which says,

And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily, I say unto you, it shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

If you ever get so hungry for God that you are in pursuit of Him, He will do things for you that He won't do for anybody else.

In times past when I thought about what it meant to wait on God I thought more in terms of the second coming of Jesus. Though it is true that waiting for Jesus return is a type of "waiting on God", I believe that scriptures also speak of a "waiting on God" as an expectation that the Holy Spirit will help us in our witness.

In my life I have many different types of peoples that I have witnessed to in the past. In the last few years I have begun witnessing to some Muslim friends. Some of them are some of the nicest people I have met.......but like the Pharisees they do not believe Jesus to be the Son of God. They also do not believe in the Holy Ghost. I have tried to explain to them of the Muslim faith that God would not have attested to the truth of Jesus life and Words by miracles, signs, and wonders, if Jesus had been a liar. Their response.....that Jesus was definitely a great prophet, but not the Son of God. Somehow they think that it was men who attributed that Sonship to Jesus and that it was not God Himself........and then I tried to show them that the scriptures do not have Jesus running around announcing His Sonship to everyone, but rather that it was others who had made that declaration(which we know to be inspired by the Holy Ghost)and Jesus who affirmed that truth.

I certainly have hit an obstacle in the road. We cannot intellectually prove Jesus to be the Son of God.....neither can we intellectually prove the existence of the Holy Ghost which we Christians believe comes from Jesus as a promise from the Father.

I have undoubtedly come to the point where I have realized that there is absolutely no way that I can persuade them , that is, without the help of the Holy Ghost. I am waiting on God and I pray to Jesus for the help of the Holy Ghost.

Have any of you felt this way in your witness?......where you have hit a wall and realize that you need Jesus' help?? Some people seem almost impossible to reach.

With love in Christ, Daniel
