If you have a web page perhaps you could store the picture there, and use the url for the web page. You will need the url plus the path. http://url/path/nameofavatar because without the path, it cannot find the pic.

Sorry about not getting back to you. I have been sick with a virus since Sunday night so I am only on the computer for short periods. You might try a different picture. Sometimes the problem is the picture is too big.

hi, Carol, thanks for helping. My [img] ... [/img] is at photobucket.com, but I get an Error script message, which may be my own computer not having up-to-date Java script, or (whatever). So that may be the problem? I followed your instructions other than that. love, Eden

Hi Eden,
Maybe I can help. I'll try to anyway. Click on each of these in this order:
1. My profile
2. View/Update Profile
3. Select a different Avatar Image
4. Use custom URL (paste the URL of your avatar here)
5. Set URL
6. Select This Avatar
7. Update Profile button (at bottom of profile page)
It may take a few minutes for your new avatar to start showing up.

Yes, sweetie, I do need some more help. I have a URL avatar of my own that I tried to post into my profile box where it said avatar, but it would not allow me to drop it in anywhere? ![[1zhelp]](graemlins/1zhelp.gif)

Go to my profile. There are some avatars you can choose. I got mine yesterday by doing a search for free Avatars. I found one that had a url you could copy and paste and I pasted it here.
Let me know if you need anymore help. I am not that smart on computers, but I will gladly help you as much as I am able.
