Romans 12:1-2
I beseech you therefore, brethern, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.
We are to be holy for the God we serve is holy. We are to present (give) our bodies totally to God for we are brought with a price. Our bodies are temples that the Spirit of God dwells in.
1 Corinthians 3:17-18
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
If any defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
We are to keep our bodies sanctified and worthy of the presence of God. We can only prove our holiness by demonstration (testing and trying by fire). We are not to be carnal minded (fleshly) for to be carnal minded brings death.
But to be spiritually minded is life and peace. (Romans 8:6)
To many time Christians are conformed to the pattern of this world, by television, newspaper and so on, not really being transformed by the renewing of their mind in the Word of God.
There are so many do's and don'ts that one must do to take care of the physical but there are also do's and don'ts we must do to take care of the Spiritual. Not everything we eat and drink is profitable for the physical likewise, the same goes for the Spiritual.
Mark 7:18, 20-21
And he said unto them, are ye so without understanding also. Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into man, it cannot defile him...And he said, that which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts.
Proverbs 23:7 says;
For as a man thinketh in his heart so is he.
When we give ourselves totally as living sacrifices to God, the Glory of God will be seen which is Christ Jesus in us. Those who are a living sacrifice of holiness will shine within outwards for all to see, for they know that even to die in Christ is to LIVE, for their life is in Christ.
GOD SAID WE WILL FIND HIM WHEN WE LOOK FOR HIM WITH ALL OUR HEART.
