I was thinking.....Would it be much different today if after everyone was baptized in the Lords Name, they were introduced to the church as a new disciple of Jesus?

When you read the book of Acts, everyone that was baptized and added to the church was called a disciple.......and they would indentify themselves as disciples with others. It doesnt appear that they went around saying "Hi, I am Philip and I am born-again" or "Hi, I am Stephen and I am saved".

If we think of ourselves as disciples then we can see ourselves as learners, teachable people who do not despise correction. Isnt that a good thing?

I really think that such a simple change like that in churches could have a lot of positive reinforcement, yes even spiritually.

What do you think?

With love in Christ, Daniel
