Thanks WildB, I did a little research as to when was the first painting/pictures of the likeness of Jesus made.

I found out it was not until 4 centuries after Jesus resurrection.

Also, its been said that during those 4 centuries the church flourished more than ever.

I will look into this further. Thanks for the scripture verse and it helps for me to dig a little deeper.
