Note that it is the acceptable year but the day of vengeance

When I look at Jesus of Nazareth, Jesus acted indeed as the Son of the Adonai Absolute Owner of the earth, as the Heir of the Absolute Owner:

Matthew 21:38
But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize his inheritance.

And Jesus also acted as the Son of the Loving Father YHWH who did those wonderful miracles in Israel and Jesus announced forgiveness of sins through the work that Jesus would do on the cross for them, that whosoever wanted would be forgiven and would be reconciled to the Creator, through the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus.

But the fact that the Loving Father YHWH was accompanied by the Adonai Absolute Owner was also says a lot:

Isaiah 59:17
For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.

Isaiah 61:2
To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn.

Isaiah 63:4
For the day of vengeance is in My heart, and the year of My redeemed has come.

Luke 4
14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.

16 And he {Jesus} came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up there to read.

17 And there was delivered to him {to Jesus} the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when he {Jesus} had opened the book, he found the place where it was written {in Isaiah 61:1),

18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.

19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.

Note that Jesus did not mention the day of vengeance yet. He only mentioned the acceptable year because the first time that Jesus came was only for the acceptable year.

The acceptable year was when Jesus would preach the gospel to the poor; and Jesus would heal the brokenhearted, and Jesus would preach deliverance to the captives, and Jesus would give recovery of sight to the blind, and Jesus set at liberty them who are bruised.

That was the Loving Father YHWH.

Luke 4
21 And he {Jesus} began to say to them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

The acceptable year was being fullilled in the 1st century. But the day of vengeance has not happened yet, and will not occur until Jesus comes the second time, when Jesus plants His redeemed house of Israel as a glorious Branch in the land of Israel, and when Jesus takes vengeance on the nations.

Luke 4
19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

That's still going on now.

with love, eden
