This is called 'About Prayer' --

- where we might compare this -

Eph 1:16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers,
Eph 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
Eph 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
Eph 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
Eph 1:20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
Eph 1:21 Far above all

-- and asks the question of what we can expect from prayer, then comment and more verses...lengthy I guess. I can't help it. :

- with this:

James, here reminging the twelve tribes about Elijah's prayer:

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit. {Jam 5:16-18}

We may think that that was alright for Elijah, but I couldn't do a thing like that. This man knew how to pray. But why. Why could Elijah shut the heaven, and then open the heaven by prayer?

Well, he did it, not because he was a man of tremendous power, but he did it because he knew the word of God. And he knew God's plan, something of it, God's promises. And all he was doing was praying to claim those gracious and wonderful promises. Deut, the 11th chapter:

And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil. {Deu11:13-14}

The corn and the oil and the wine have additional spiritual significance, as well as the former and the later rain. God speaks to us on multiple levels, so there is always more to any verse than is possible to fully plumb, but I stick to the subject of prayer.

When the apostle prays for the church after Acts {A.D.62}, and therefore setting to our mind in what sort of prayer particularly addresses our needs as the church body and what sort we might engage, note the subject - 'the knowledge of God', and I can say this is true for me in the case before us:

Col 1:9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
Col 1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.

Eph 2:14 For he is our peace...

Eph 3:14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Eph 3:15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
Eph 3:16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
Eph 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
Eph 3:18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
Eph 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.

This says that we need to pray for understandng, to be able to comprehend, to the end we be filled with all the fullness of God. And why do we have to pray for this? The Word tells us that these things pertaining to this church were not revealed in Scripture, are not trackable but were hid in God and NOW revealed, now being after Israel's judicial blindness at the end of Acts.

This means that if it was not revealed, then we can't find our answer there. We must look where it is revealed, and that is given the church His body in the prison epistles alone. Look at this one:

Phi 1:9 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;
Phi 1:10 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ;
Phi 1:11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

Praying for abounding {perisseuō=super abound} knowledge through love, and praying for this knowledge {epignōsis=full discernment, acknowledgement} because of a love for truth

V.10 "That ye may approve things that are excellent" also give us the words "[be in the act of] trying the things that differ", or are different.

which echoes rightly dividing the word of truth, see 2Ti 2:15. All these are prison epistles, where we find the gentiles, or nations {same word G.} have been sent an apostle from God, see Acts 28:28.

So where Israel could pray for her Biblical issues and promises and acknowledgings, the church is instructed to do the same, but what they pray for has become very different one from the other.

In James, they could pray for healing, anoint by oil, and they would be healed. The church has no such expectations.

The point? Well, sometimes we need to exercize that portion of patience which we can align with God's word, ever digging to get to the best prizes, even, when the Lord finds our acknowledgment pleasing, gleaning a glimpse of those hidden treasures which really are, Christ working in us. I don't think so much as being led, but more by yeilding, allowing God to divide His own word where He has, our acknowledging.

Eph 4:15 But speaking the truth in love...

comes with a framework, but this reminds me that here, there is no English equivilent for translation. If we could make up a word for this, it might be 'truthing together in love', but alas, we don't really have a verbal form of the noun truth. I was thinking I hoping you don't think I am trying to dance around the subject, as the Bible is very large, directed, & meaningful, but most certainly there is a larger view of this plan of redemption, and we do have an apostle to place our gospel for us (Eph 3:1), wherein lie the ONE specific hope (Eph 4:4), of our ONE calling, wherein we learn the instructions for our walk (Eph 4:1, Eph 4:17) as members of the chruch as revealed in the fellowship of the mystery (Eph 3:9).

Luk 21:19 In your patience possess ye your souls.

Rom 5:3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience

ok, so you don't buy it, the verses have been read thousands of times. The Bible has plenty to say about patience, but if you do not believe it, then John 3:16 is meant for you, that you might have life on His name. There are two other main messages being set forth in the NT. Other than John that it, for John is the only book written for those who do not buy it.

These two are written for believers:

Rom 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.
Rom 15:5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:
Rom 15:6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Rom 15:7 Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.
Rom 15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers

Luk 8:15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

---------------------------------------

Col 1:9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
Col 1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
Col 1:11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
Col 1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
Col 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
Col 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
Col 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
Col 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
Col 1:19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell;
Col 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
Col 1:21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
Col 1:22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblamable and unreprovable in his sight:
Col 1:23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
Col 1:24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:
Col 1:25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God;
Col 1:26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints

The latter of these two called out companies have every blessing which is spiritual that God has to give, and has them in heavenly places Eph. 3.1., while the former are they who, has it states, have the blessings of their fathers, who we know are blessed in the land on the earth, in stock and in store.

one was made known in Gen 11 & 12, while the other was a secret, or mystery, hid in God and not made known until when it says it is.

I don't buy it man.

The ONLY Scriptures that SPEAK TO ME are those of God's Absolute Control over what goes on.

I can't do anything.

I've read "Behold I stand at the Door and Knock, if Anyone Hears My Voice and Opens The Door..." and all the other verses on Repentence THOUSANDS of times but NOT ONCE has anything happened.

I've already told God "i can't Repent and you don't ever give me the desire to".

It's like He won't let me repent but maybe He'll give me the peace to accept that i can't have it.

And Guess what? This is not self pity.

I'm dead serious about all this because i've learned so much about it and it's starting to look a certain way.

J4Jesus,

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. Jer 29:13

...God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret. Dan 2:47

There are many things that we may only come to realize once we acknowledge that which is written, and mostly do not understand, for our carnal minds cannot understand that which is spiritual until? until we acknoweldge in simple faith what God gives us of His understandinig, leaning not unto our own understanding, where thereby we make room for the Lord to put on the new man. While we are open to put that which is not yet revealed on the shelf, accepting that we study to receive of God's understanding, He most assuridly then has one with whom He can work in.

Speaking to all nations, the apostle reminds the believer -

Eph 2:19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
Eph 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone

- says the apostle of the reconciliation.

Built upon...apostles and prophets, wherein it was written to His earthly kingdom people, Israel:

Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death...

Rom 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection

Rom 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Rom 6:8 Now if we be dead with Christ,
we believe that we shall also live with him

Higher still comes the revelation to His heavenly people, the church:

Eph 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins

Thusly He sees us, so it is we who limit Him in limiting our acknowledgment of all that is written;

Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, by (grace ye are saved;)
Eph 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus

This is expanded in the companion epistle:

Col 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit...

Col 2:10 And ye are complete in him...
Col 2:11 In whom also ye are circumcised
with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh
by the circumcision of Christ:
Col 2:12 Buried with him in baptism,
wherein also ye are risen with him
through the faith of the operation of God,
who hath raised him from the dead.

Col 3:3 For ye are dead,
and your life
is hid
with Christ
in God.
Col 3:4 When Christ,
who is our life,
shall appear,
then shall ye also
appear with him in glory.

he Greek verb metanoeo

quote:
epouraniois
So you are a Greek scholar?

We aren't going to turn this into a thread about me, but just look at the words and their usage. I will try to post something that will help those who still are seeking truth. For those who already know all things, they should know this already:

Paul preached: "Submission toward God, and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ" (Acts 20:21). Later he said he had demanded of the Gentiles three things: "that they should submit, and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance" (Acts 26:20). Peter told the men of Israel that they should: "Submit and turn about" (Acts 3:19). The additional statements made in all these proclamations show that to submit is always the initial step and only the initial step. Much more than submission is required, but this must be set forth by additional statements. It is not included in the word metanoeo or in the word submit .

John the Baptist came as the Lord's forerunner proclaiming the nearness of God's government, making ready for the appearance of the One on Whose shoulders the government would rest (Isa. 9:6). John did not say, "Repent of your sins"; or, "Repent, or you will be lost forever"; or, "Repent and you will be saved." The sole reason given as to why they should submit was that God's government was impending. When sovereignty is assumed and a government imposes itself upon men, they can either submit or resist. The demand made by John fit the situation perfectly at that time. Divine government was coming; it was impending; and all in Israel were called upon to submit, to yield, to offer no resistance, to make no moves contrary to it, to ease themselves of every factor that might block their entrance into it (See Matt. 18:8,9), to wait for further orders from the One who would be the King of the Kingdom.

Their submission, being voluntary and in advance of the actual establishment of God's government upon the earth, would result in a similarity of mind between God and His people Israel. They were to yield their minds irrevocably to the power of another.

The Greek verb metanoeo, which is always mistranslated "repent," is made up of a combination of two simple, easily understood words. These are meta, which means "after," and noia which means "mind." All who labor in the healing arts, such as doctors and nurses, will know at once the meaning of meta and noia. Since this word is a verb, it would mean to a Greek of the first century "have the after-mind;" and the noun of course would name the result of such an action, which would be "after-mindedness."

Some times other words are better for the English mind to gain a more full view of what is meant, knowing this first, that it is impossible to have a word for word translation from one language to another. For ex., in translating we come upon occurrences where the word "woman" simply will not fit, and word wife is needed. With these two words, wife and woman, the translator can give the true meaning of every occurrence.

Even so it is with the word metanoeo. To express the truth in all passages and contexts, we need the words submit, yield and ease. These words are related, they are congruous, and they do the work. The reader will understand that ease is used in the sense of unburden or disburden. This is important since all sin and guilt are in Scripture viewed as being heavy and oppressive burdens. "Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden," is the invitation of the Lord Jesus to men to submit to Him, and thus to ease themselves of their burden of sin and guilt (Matt. 11 :28).

In order to understand why the words submit and submission have been chosen to represent metanoeo and metanoia, we will need to give careful thought as to what the verb phrase "have the after-mind" means, also to the ideas that are set forth by the word' 'submit." We will consider some pertinent examples.

Joshua called for complete submission on the part of the children of Israel when he demanded: "Choose you this day whom ye will serve." It was the time for decision and commitment. Some in this great company were still clinging to the gods their fathers served in Egypt (Josh. 24:14,15), but this could be tolerated no longer. Complete submission without recourse or qualification was now demanded. Joshua revealed his own complete submission, shutting out any future modification by saying: "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." His mind that day would be his mind tomorrow. He had the after-mind.

Ruth revealed her complete submission to Naomi when she said: "Whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God" (Ruth 1:16). This was her declared mind at that moment. No matter where Naomi went, no matter where she resided, no matter what adverse circumstances should arise-Ruth would be her companion. Nothing but the death of one of them could change their relationship. Her mind and purpose she had before her declaration of loyalty, and before she knew what the circumstances might be, would be just the same after these became evident. Her attitude was what a first century Greek would call metanoeo-having the after-mind. Hers was true submission, not subject to any alteration. The Greek name for such an attitude was metanoia, after-mindedness.

In Matt. 8:19 we read of one who had the fore-mind to follow Christ, and declared it, but he seemed to lack the "after-mind." We find: "A certain scribe came, and said unto Him, Master, I will follow Thee whithersoever Thou goest." But when the Lord revealed His poverty, so total that He had no place to sleep that night, his "after-mind" did not match his "fore-mind." At least we never hear of him again.

An example of complete submission, where "fore-mind" and "after-mind" were identical, is seen in the prophet Daniel. Submitting only to God, it was his determination not to defile himself in Babylon, and to maintain his prayer contacts with God. This was before the royal decree was signed that no man could ask anything of any God for thirty days. And if anyone did, he would be cast into a den of lions. But no den of lions could alter Daniel's mind or purpose. He had the "after-mind" before he knew what the consequences might be.

With all these facts in mind, we now come to John's demand made to Israel before Jesus began His ministry. I would translate Matthew 3:2: "Submit, for the government of the heavens has drawn near." And indeed it had drawn near.

It has long been imagined that John was declaring the whole duty of man toward God, a veritable complete plan of salvation from sin for those who came to him in the wilderness of Judea. This has caused men to try to read much more into this first occurrence of metanoeo than is actually there. In view of this, there are those who say that the word submit falls short of saying what God expected of men, and that submission is an insufficient statement of what John's disciples did.

This is true! But if it is true of "submit," it is also true of metanoeo. If not, why then did the Lord Jesus say in Mark 1: 15: "Submit, and believe the gospel." Submission without qualifications was only the first step, a most vital step, but it was only the start. Submission must precede belief.

The Apostle Paul provides an excellent example of the after-mind, that is, submission in advance of knowing what the requirements would be. As soon as he discovered Who was speaking to him, his immediate response was: "Lord, what will you have me to do" (Acts 9:6). He stood ready to do whatever the Lord might say. Even the vision of all that he would suffer did not alter his mind in the least. Truly, this man had the after-mind. He was submissive.

The history of flagrant mistranslations of these two Greek words began about 150 A.D. when the New Testament was first translated into Latin. Poenitentiam agile was the way the words of John and Jesus were first translated. These words meant "do penance" and this translation committed the Latin fathers to the idea that metanoeo was related to the penalty man was supposed to pay for his sins, the sorrows he must show and the tears he must shed for them. No such ideas were in the Greek words, but they were incipient in the church the Latin fathers were building, and to use a term that expressed these to translate metanoeo was one way to insinuate them into the Word of God.

When Jerome (A.D. 347-419) produced the Vulgate, he perpetuated this erroneous translation, so that in time the Roman Church from top to bottom began to think of acts of penitence in order to cancel acts of sin. Thus, it was that for fourteen centuries, the emphasis was all on doing penance, on something that man did about his sins. What God had done was all but forgotten. When the sufferings of Christ for sin were brought forth, men were told they must "do penance" to reap the benefits from it.

When the English versions of the Scripture began to appear, the translators followed the Latin. Wyc1iffe, whom history tells us had no proficiency in Greek, rendered Matt. 3:2: "Do ye penance: for the kingdom of heavens shall come nigh." He translated directly from the Latin Vulgate. One would expect something better from William Tyndale since he was capable in the Greek and worked directly from it. But he scarcely improved on Wyc1iffe, rendering the Lord's words as meaning: "Repent ye, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

When the King James Version was brought forth, "the learned men" who did the translating well know that metanoeo did not mean "do your penance over again"; yet, they translated every occurrence by a word that says and means exactly that. Thus, a major doctrine of Roman Catholicism was forced upon all Protestants by fifty-eight mistranslated passages in the New Testament.

thats not true, I don't reject the validity of any portion of Scripture, but on the other hand, I don't take what God gave to one set of people for the purpose He stated in so doing and apply it to myself across the board.

Christ Himself said He came not but for the lost of Israel, saying go not unto the way of the Gentiles. The gentiles had no message till 64 ad. even then, it was not a message for gentiles, but to provoke the true tree, Israel, to emmulation of the gentiles ability to believe.

What I wrote is absolutley true.

If there are any verses written to the church revealed after Isrrael's blindness, I would have either posted them, or be reading them from some of you posting them.

What is really cool, and very different about now and then, is that now, we can, as the verse states, simply acknowledge the truth and God will give us repentance.

But back during the Acts it was not so, they were offered one time only to receive the truth, and if they did not there was no further offer for repentance, they were blinded to the truth, hence, we have a nation unable to repent, a nation which did not receive their King and kingdom during their lifetimes.

the last of the Acts period letter is Romans, wherein we find:

Rom 9:27 Isaiah also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved

Rom 11:5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

Rom 11:7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded.

repentance was only preached to Israel
You are so wrong there is no use commenting ,you need to repent and be saved.

quote:
epouraniois
repentance is a very poorly translated word

So you are a Greek scholar?

24 times out of 24 times used in New Testament scripture repentance is translated repentance. (below I only list those that apply directly to people other than natural born Israelites.

http://www.blueletterbible.org/tmp_dir/words/3/1147624455-6332.html

Repentance a change of mind, as it appears to one who repents, of a purpose he has formed or of something he has done

Act 26:20 But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and [then] to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

Luk 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Act 11:18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

Act 19:4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

Act 20:21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

Rom 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

2Cr 7:9 Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.
2Cr 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

2Ti 2:25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

Hbr 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

Strive to enter in at the strait gate:for many, I say unto you will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. ( Luke 13:24 )

repentance is a very poorly translated word, as the original brings to bear that one has to already have had the truth and turned away unto dumb idols. therefore, repentance was only preached to Israel, and was the condition for the nation to receive the times of refreshing and the kingdom and King.

of the church body introduced after Israel's blindness we only find one referrence, here is the context:

2Ti 2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor, and some to dishonor.
2Ti 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
2Ti 2:22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
2Ti 2:23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do engender strifes.
2Ti 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
2Ti 2:25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
2Ti 2:26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

the reasonings continue into the following ch.:

2Ti 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2Ti 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
2Ti 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
2Ti 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us–ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

From what I've read, it takes God to give them that repentence, that Moment in time.

Deuteronomy 4:29

But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

Psalm 51:17

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Yahweh's voice is ever calling, if a heart will respond to His small still voice, seek after Him with truth and sincerity Yahweh will not turn them away.

That's my understanding anyway.

Yahweh is long suffering to all, that none should perish.

Those that have an ear to hear will hear and obey His Commandments.
