Navy Lt. Wayne Haddad, a Catholic priest from New Jersey, leads Mass at Camp Matilda, Kuwait. Religious services are held in mess tents while the Marines are in their temporary quarters.
Lance Cpl. Peter John Kruse of Chicago Il, wore his shorts to Sunday service in preparation for his Baptism immediately afterward.
Navy Major Tom Webber, chaplain for the First Marine Division, Fourth Battalion, baptizes a Marine. Marines do not have chaplains in their ranks. Navy personnel are assigned to Marine units.
About 40 Marines were baptized after the service at Camp Matilda.
-------------------- God bless, Kindgo
