Where is the Good Shepherd's staff? How marvelously confused!

If you meant it spiritually, the staff shows power, support, strength, even nourishment which the Good Shepherd manifests in abundance always and never discards.

If you mean it carnally:

"Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." 1 Cor. 2

Jesus said, "Doth this offend you? What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." John 6.

Repent. Don't be like Simon, Acts 8, who tried to buy the gift of giving the Holy Spirit and was severely, frighteningly rebuked by Peter.

Do you want prayer?

it is true and is strangely exactly what you say it belongs to none and yet to all for it was used as a stake to stake a claim to England for Christ and Christianity from where it and Christianity bud and spread all around the world - to prove its authenticity for itself when all around is dead and dying in the winter time exactly at Christmas tide it buds and blooms and blossoms and declares, for itself for those with eyes to see and ears to hear, guess who I belong to for I am the resurrection and the life - here we pause and ask one and all to answer for themselves - did or did not those feet in ancient times walk on England's mountains green and was the holy Lamb of God on England's pleasant pastures seen - wincam

I said He was speaking metaphorically, and you said more spiritually.

Jesus is still our Good Shepherd; He did not pass His responsibility on to another. As Christians, we are each and all part of His spiritual Kingdom, guided by His Holy Spirit. The King Himself is in Heaven at the right hand of God.

Romans 8
34Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.

Good one WildB!!!

Our Lord Jesus Christ is the ONLY begotten Son of God and He is alive.

Hebrews 5:4-6 (NASB)
4 And no one takes the honor to himself, but receives it when he is called by God, even as Aaron was.

5 So also Christ did not glorify Himself so as to become a high priest, but He who said to Him,

"YOU ARE MY SON,
TODAY I HAVE BEGOTTEN YOU";

6 just as He says also in another passage,

"YOU ARE A PRIEST FOREVER
ACCORDING TO THE ORDER OF MELCHIZEDEK."

It should be understood that Jesus is “the” good shepherd, not simply “a” good shepherd, as others may be, but He is unique in character (Psalm 23; Zechariah 13:7; Hebrews 13:20; 1 Peter 2:25; 1 Peter 5:4). The Greek word kalos, translated “good,” describes that which is noble, wholesome, good, and beautiful, in contrast to that which is wicked, mean, foul, and unlovely. It signifies not only that which is good inwardly—character—but also that which is attractive outwardly. It is an innate goodness. Therefore, in using the phrase “the good shepherd,” Jesus is referencing His inherent goodness, His righteousness, and His beauty. As shepherd of the sheep, He is the one who protects, guides, and nurtures His flock.

Jesus Christ is still the good shepherd and his staff is still His. He has not given it to the Pope.

Is this a trick question?

Jesus was a carpenter. When He spoke of being the good shepherd, He was speaking metaphorically to illustrate that He was willingly giving His life for the sake of His "sheep". He would not abandon us when the "wolf" came.
