Made a meatloaf with one pound of hamburger and one pound of pork sausage, with a packet of turkey stuffing. Cheesy mashed potatoes with a packet of ranch dressing mix and the cheese. Cranberry sauce and green beans. Lime Jello poke cake with french vanilla pudding/cool whip fill/frosting, for dessert.

Excellent!!!!!!

That ground beef and pork combination has to be awesome.

I do mine with a pound of hamburger browned in olive oil in the frying pan, and seasoned with all my liquid smoke and sw seasonings, about three cooking spoons of salsa, carmalized onions, and adding in green peppers, then dump into the crock with a couple cans of beans and a can of diced tomatoes. I add about a cup of Jack Daniels Black Label, then simmer on low for about four hours.

Serve it in a bowl over hot buttered corn bread, sour cream and grated cheese, and a chili dog or two on the side.

Was up at 2:00 AM this morning, holding the traveling children in heart and prayer until they all got tucked in for the night. I put a pork loin into the crock, simmering on low in Onion soup and splashed on with liquid smoke, and sw seasonings. At 11:00 AM I shredded it and put it back in, then whipped up an experimental outlaw batch of cowboy juice.

I took about a cup of brown sugar, a heavy splash of vinegar, a couple jiggers of Jack Daniels Black Label, two over flowing cooking spoons of ketchup, and three over flowing spoons of barbque sauce, whipped it all up in a bowl and then stirred it into the shredded pork.

Had it slopped over deluxe burger buns for late lunch and supper, open face. Had a pretty good sweet/tangy/smoky flavor. The alcohol cooks out and what is left is the backwoods flavor. I use it in my chili also, as I just use the spices off the shelf and not the flavor packets.
