Yes, exactly Gary!

Remember prophesyeye, the Lamb was slain before the foundation of the world. God did not say "OK, they sinned in the Garden and now we have to go to plan "b"."

God knew from our creation that love and obedience have to come of free will; obedience that is forced is slavery not love.

But God is love and he created us for love and relatiosnhip with him. The garden where we see God walking with man is exactly the picture of perfection that God wanted for all mankind from the creation.

But in His eternal wisdom, God knew that man would have to come to a place of being without God, to understand that without God nothing is worth having and no place worth being.

When all man had was perfection, he was highminded, proud, thinking he could do it his way. And thus, like Lucifer himself, he in pride exhaulted himself against God.

In order to truly CHOOSE life, we have to also know what death is; in order to choose humility we have to experience both pride and brokeness; in order to choose obedience, we have to understand what disobedience is like. In order to want God more than we want self, we have to live a while with self. And so darkness is allowed to continue for a time, that we may come to desire the LIGHT.

God uses Satan and his demons as His tools to work in our lives. The trials they cause are used by God to strengthen and purify us.

(That sure must make Satan mad. He's trying to do evil, and God uses it for good!)

Has anyone ever wondered why God allowed and continues to allow Satan and his followers to have access to this realm? The Bible says that after the end times are over, Satan and his angels will be thrown into hell for eternity but for now they are allowed to have access to us to tempt us.

Anyone have any idea why God has gone out of his way (by not binding Satan right away) to allow Satan to tempt us and cause us to stumble? Wouldn't it be possible to have a free choice for or against God without Satan deluding our minds?

It almost seems like he is indirectly promoting "evil".

Yeah, it's good, isn't it?

Why do we care what people think of us when we know what God thinks of us?

One semester, the professor asked the question and a young man raised his
hand when asked if anyone was a Christian.

The professor asked, "Did God
make everything, young man?"

"Yes, he did, sir," the young man replied.

The professor responded, "If God made everything, then God made evil, and if we can only create from within ourselves, then God is evil."

The student didn't have a response and the professor was happy to have once again
proved the Christian faith to be a myth.

Then another man raised his hand and asked, "May I ask you something, sir.

"Yes, you may," responded the professor.

The young man stood up and said "Sir, is there such thing as cold?"

"Of course there is, what kind of a question is that? Haven't you ever been cold?"

The young man replied, "Actually, sir, cold does not exist. What we consider to be cold, is really only the absence of heat. Absolute zero is when there is absolutely no heat, but cold does not really exist. We have only created that term to describe how we feel when heat is not there."

The young man continued, "Sir, is there such thing as dark?"

Once again, the professor responded "Of course there is."

And once again, the student replied "Actually, sir, darkness does not exist. Darkness is really only the absence of light. Darkness is only a term man developed to describe what happens when there is no light present."

Finally, the young man asked, "Sir, is there such thing as evil?"

The professor responded, "Of course. We have rapes, and murders and violence everywhere in the world, those things are evil.

The student replied, "Actually, sir, evil does not exist. Evil is simply the absence of God. Evil is a term man developed to describe the
absence of God. God did not create evil. It isn't like truth, or love, which exist as
virtues like heat and light. Evil is simply the state where God is not present, like cold without heat or darkness without light."

The professor had nothing to say.
