I have to share this story, but in order for me to share this, you have to have a little background too.
My daughter was immunized as an infant. She had all her shots for school and was looking forward to going to the local Christian elementary. The month before school, we had her in to the doctor's office for her kindergarten check up. He gave her an eye test, a reflex test, and her shots. She was normal and healthy.
Three weeks later she had very high fevers and was home from school for days. Later her nurse at school gave all the children eye tests, and she came home saying she needed to go to an eye doctor for glasses.

Well, to make a long story short, she was diagnosed with Juvinile Rhumatiod Arthritis two weeks later. Her eyes were the tell tale sign. You see, girls have a higher rate of reactions to the mmr shot. Rhubella effects one in every 2,000 girls. Her eyes were how we saw the fever give her arthritis. They were swollen, had scar tissue, and we were told to expect her vision to only decrease. They also said she was going to have to be on drugs for the rest of her life.
That was 6 years ago.

We have just had a real hard time in between insurance companies, and her eye specialist was not able to see her in three month intrervals. I took her in last week, and it has been over a year. Boy did I get chewed out. We homeschool now, and the doctor is sure that we coudn't tell if her eyesight has gotten worse.

Here's the part I wanted to share.
The doctor starts off by chewing me out, then to look at her eye exam records that the nurse just did. He asks if it was with her glasses on or off(they were off). Then looks at her eyes, does a pressure check, and refracts the light to see the back of her eyes too. He is saying humm all the while. Then he looks at me and says 'Her eyes are clear, and the eye exam shows her right eye has improved, her left is a little worse. But I don't get it, have you increased her eye drops? In other words, her eyes show NO scar tissue, NO swelling, NO white blood cell buiild up, NO milky coating on the retina, NOTHING.'
We had slowly backed off of the eye drops, instead of 4 times a day, we were at 1 time a week. Priase God!
He looks at my daughter and asks her what have we been doing, she smiles and says 'Leaving it to God'.

Now she is happy that she needs new glasses. Her old ones couldn't have been replaced because she needed to have a vision test when her eyes weren't acting up to get a proper reading. God is wonderful!!!
