Amen Mohawk, I am in agreement with your prayers. I want to also add praises to God for His answering the prayers of many Christians, who prayed that His will, not theirs, be done in this election.
Father, I ask that You heal the spirits of those who are hurt and angry over this election. We know that You are in control and that You are the ultimate authority. Help us to all focus on serving You and bringing glory to Your name.

we need to pray for hurting and angry people. We both voted for Kerry but I prayed God's will and I am at peace over the election. Husband is bitter and driving me up the wall. I watched the news today and unfortuantly hubby is not alone. There are alot of very angry and bitter people out there. We need healing for our Country and it's people.

Now that this incredible presidential election is concluded, I want to put in a prayer for our country, our leaders and especially President Bush.
I have never seen the country this divided before. People expressing what I consider unbelievable, pointless hatred for others based on politics. It's like a loss of sanity. Such petty childishness on a huge scale.
Mr. Bush won, fair and square--nobody "stole" the election this time. Out of the election year chaos came order at the Polls. It was a relatively problem-free election night, and at its conclusion there was a clear victor. Amazing how in a nation of supposed "adults" there are people actually whining, name-calling and some even threatening to leave the country this morning.
Father, I pray You will allow reason to take hold, that You will cool the tempers of those who feel "wronged" and show them that you are still on Your throne. Lift the veil of confusion and disappointment. Open the eyes of our leadership in Washington, Lord, and let those occupying office rediscover the love of Your truth that was given them in youth--let the corruption and selfishness of their jaded ways be revealed to their own hearts and let it disgust them--and bring about a turning of their hearts back to You.
Lord, guide the heart, mind and soul of your servant President Bush. Let his family be a blessing of comfort as He is shown Your divine plan in his heart, Lord, and grant him the courage to step forward in faith with that plan. Let him be a blessing to his country--even those who did not vote for him--and let that turn their hearts as well, Lord. Let us humble ourselves and seek You, Father, and please heal our land. Let Your will be done in the next 4 years... and always.
Father, please bless Senator Kerry and Senator Edwards as You have brought them through this process as part of Your divine plan for them. Even their defeat was not a loss, Lord, for You have now honed them for the next step of their journey, of which You have not revealed yet.
And Lord please bless us, the people of this country in this trying time. Show us wisdom. Expose folly. Grant us courage to go forward knowing this outcome is part of Your plan as well. To Your glory, in Christ's name. Amen.
