balefire, you seem to be walking completely in the centre of God's will and you have to be admired for that.

I'm sure God has laid this scripture on your heart to stand on during this very difficult time. I pray that God lifts you up and surrounds you lovingly with his mighty arms and comforts you beyond all that you could ask for.

David and the Psalms are often a comfort to me. My family has issues with depression. As this desease I have progress I often have to fight bouts of depression but God is merciful and brings me comfort. I will pray that God will replace what you are giving up with something so wonderful that you will be shocked by the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
God bless you Dave.

What a wonderful testimony to God’s love that is exhibited here in the ministry that can only come from this type of fellowship and understanding.

Father, look with favor upon these two men as in the midst of a trial in their lives they are standing strong and not wavering in there faith. As the enemy is battling against their resolve help them to remain strong and give them both the peace that passes all of our mortal understanding. Please Lord lighten their burden and turn their tears into tears of joy. Let them soon see your perfect will for their lives that they should completely overcome any confusion that the enemy has tried to put upon them. And we will be very careful to give you all the praise and all the honor and all the glory for your mighty work as you continue to guide these men to your perfect will’ oh Almighty God. Surely keep these two men steadfast in their faith in the salvation, mercy, and love of our Saviour Jesus the Christ. And it is in His Name that I pray Amen.

Sometimes when I am down I like to read Psalm 30. King David was one of the greatest songwriters of all time. He wrote this Psalm for the dedication of the House of David, which was meant to establish his dynasty among the Jews for all time. Talk about someone with a calling on their lives David surely went through great trials both because of God’s will and also because of his own sinful practice and sexual perversion. Because of his steadfast faith and heart felt love for Almighty God, David’s kingdom was established. His son built the temple establishing a great dynasty for all time. One of the most famous quotes from Psalm 30 is: “weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” May our God give you both joy as the morning fast approaches.

"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Hello Bale

I know exactly what you are feeling. I've had my heart ripped out--I have been made to exist in places that seemed the opposite of what I thought would be His will. At one point I was living by the generosity of a devoted athiest, over a thousand miles from home. I prayed and prayed. And this was right after I had watched all my hopes and dreams say farewell. It felt like utter defeat--and I did contemplate suicide at one point.

A dark night of the soul indeed. I looked in the yellow pages for a church, to find someone to talk to. A pastor spoke to me and invited me to her Sunday service... I showed up, and was basically treated like a childish outsider by the congregation. The pastor didn't have more time for me. I didn't go back.

I am adult enough to realize that life isn't "all about me." But there were times that I felt utterly abandoned--which can't possibly be right either.

All I know is that I've never abandoned my belief in God, and He has kept me around. Admittedly, I am still pretty much in the dark as to why--but I'm here. I am confident that like Job, all that I have sacrificed (and been forced to let go of) will be justified by and by. One day, the "wait" will become "now!"

I can't imagine the situation I have now to be God's whole plan for me. I just will not accept that. And neither should you. God's ways are above ours, as high as the sky is over the Earth. He does nothing frivolously, and He is not the author of confusion.

Let's band our faith together... and see what happens.

Your friend, in complete understanding... praying God's power manifest in your life.

Hi everyone, I was hoping that I could have a few of you guys pray for me. I am struggling right now. I have been getting clear instruction from the Lord, in the matter of surrendering my will to his. The reason I am having trouble with this is, that I know that in doing so, I will be giving up some major dreams and desires in my life. The things that I am to give up, are not sinful by any stretch, but they are things that God is clearly telling me to "wait" on.

One scripture has come up an amazing number of times over the last few days, and would seem awfully coincidental, if I didn't recognize it for the Holy Spirit doing what he does best. Lean not on your own understanding, but acknowledge him in all your ways, and he will direct your paths. I desire nothing more than to have God lead me his way, but I know that it is going to break me on a few things.

So if you could pray for the strength to surrender fully (Strength to surrender, sounds backwards, I know) And when the tears come, to remember to turn to Jesus to wipe them away, and put me back on my feet.

Thank you all, in advance.

Mark. (Balefire21)
